Little Ramen Bar reviews
63I came here a while ago (~2 months), the ramen was very fresh, there was a $2 charge on extra ingredients but I didn't mind, ramen base was good and staff were very patient. Would come here again, plus very close to many places.
The Ramen was a sprinkle of Pork mince and a lot of large chunks of cabbage and round sliced carrots. Tasted like cabbage soup. Very very bad. Spicy Miso Ramen with pork mince, cabbage and carrot.
This is one of my favourite Ramen places in Melbourne. It's great to sit at the bar and order a meal when wandering around downtown by yourself or with a friend. Big bowls and absolutely delicious. They also have a great 2-4+$10 beer deal during the day.
Lovely little place tucked away on Little Collins Street. The food was fantastic and the service prompt and friendly. I had the Classic Tonkotsu Ramen and it was superb!
This is a great ramen place.
Hands down. Proper broth, proper noodles, crazy fast service, good capacity for bigger groups. Even the price is very reasonable, where everyone else is charging north of $20, their base ramen is 16.99.
I really appreciate what's been done here, yet, I can't feel attached to this place for some reason despite all the good stuff, it doesn't feel like a place I wanna hang out and spend time w friends? Something about the lack of human interaction and atmosphere is missing here, and if they solve that. They could probably be a ramen place to rival Hakata in terms of popularity O.o
For now, it'll be a great lunch place for a quick good meal
Absolutely wonderful place. The vibes were chill and comfy, the staff were lovely and the ramen was amazing. They have both order from table QR and table service. Super customisable ramen, from adding eggs, removing cabbage and custom spice levels. They also have a wide range of Japanese alcohol that pairs well with the ramen, as well as classic japanese soft drinks. Wonderful place, highly recommend going to check it out.
Tasty ramen overall but not the best tonkatsu in Melbourne CBD. Noodles were cooked well but the broth lacks depth of flavour.
Nice tonkatsu but not great. Pork is very thin. Ramen eggs are nice.
Would go back but not my preferred ramen joint in Melbourne
Yuuuuum! An absolute must. Great servings, great service and delicious ramen. Perfect for cold winter days. Try the yuzu and plum wine too!
The broth is not bad, however I ordered the tan tan noodles, sprouts are a bit of burnt during they fried it.
Always hot, fresh, tasty & quick, yummy ramen & gyoza! Sometimes it's a gamble on getting a table, but if you're solo or a duo you should be able to get a spot with not too much of a wait.
Visited here last week. I don’t remember the exact name of the ramen I had but the soup was light and had an after taste of garlic that was lovely. However I’m not sure why they decided to use egg noodles that reminded me of the same type they use chou mein - personally not a fan. Their eggs could have been marinated better probably to have a stronger taste IMO and yolk was slightly harder than I would have preferred. The 2 pieces of cha shu was poor. Too soft and lack of any character. Would have been nice to have the flavour of the chashu/egg pop out in each bite but that that wasn’t the case with my bowl of ramen. Seaweed salad on the side was also a bit too sweet. However the ambience was great and my friend and I had a great time over ramen and beer. Little ramen bar is something different and might not be my cup of tea but would definitely return for a quick bite if around the area!
I ordered takeaway - one Spicy Miso Ramen (level 4 spicy), one Shio Ramen and one gyoza. I am pleasantly surprised when the staff asked if I would like the soup and the noodle to be separately packed. As noodles can be soggy after being in the soup for a long time, this is a very welcome gesture indeed and it tells me that the chef actually cares about his food. The shio ramen was amazing, it wouldn't change it for anything, the noodle was the right texture, and the soup base was delicious. The spicy miso ramen is a tact too spicy for me. I found that level 4 spiciness can be overwhelming, preventing me from being able to enjoy the dish fully. If you're into spicy food, I would recommend a level 3 spiciness to enjoy the meal. It would be suicidal to get level 5 spiciness. Also, the gyoza is so good.it had the exact pan-seared crispyness, fully flavoured meat accompanied by a light sauce which enhance the flavour of the gyoza. Kudos to the team for securing the food quality even for take aways.
Ramen was good. Not the best but also not the worst. I thought the price was fair for the good sized portion. It got busy after I arrived for dinner, so it definitely appears to be a popular spot
Little ramen bar is a small cosy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I tried the chashu tamago ramen with a miso soup base and it was pretty good. The bowls came out quickly and the miso base was nice and rich. The tamago was cooked fairly well and the extra chashu made it a good portion size. QR code used for easy sign in.
Love their pizza. The ambiance is excellent and the staff are really friendly. Its a very nice place to relax with friends.
Very good ramen near the station. Trading hours are more suited for city goers not suburban folks and this place would thrive in a local suburbs. Quality food. Highly recommended.
Lovely Little Ramen Bar is what it should be called. My friends and I turned up for a table at peak dinner time and the staff catered for us so well. It is only a small venue and by the time all of my friends arrived we had taken up a good amount of the tables available which the staff were happy to shuffle around for us. So kind, friendly, and accommodating. Thank you. The food was oh so tasty too.
The food was very good with excellent and speedy service. Clean and tidy little spot. Price was good. Only lacking more options for noodles, but I'll wait until I get to Japan again.
I've been here a few times and absolutely loveee their signature ramen. Great taste, good portion, reasonable price, quick service, friendly staff Highly recommended
