I will definitely be coming back here! The service provided from ghagan was impeccable! She was also very informative and helped me with my question. She’s a bloody star and great worker!

It was a lovely, easy Sunday breakfast with my in-laws.
We have never been before, they were visiting from Launceston. Due to the late arrival the night before, we choose the Little Growling Cafe, because it was close by and offered indoors seating with a view of mature trees and greenery.

The views did not disappoint.

It was a 7 minutes drive for us with ample parking (note Carpark is shared with Fraser Property Sales House, may be busier during opening times for the sales office)

We were greeted at the door by friendly staff and shown to our table which we luckily booked earlier. It was initially empty at 9am, however but the time we looked at the menu the other tables were filled quickly.

The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We saved room for a hot breakfast each and shared an Almond and Pistachio Raspberry croissant.

I had a few pots of English breakfast tea and the tables were cleared away diligently. Seating was comfortable and comfortable temperature.

The only downside was that the guest bathroom was out of order, we could have stayed longer and had more pots of tea.

We recommend, and look forward to going back for breakfast again.

Breakfast menu:
The Growling Breakfast. A hearty breakfast for the individual who enjoys a full meal. The bacon was the right level of crispy and my father in-law was very satisfied with his choice.

Big Breakfast. My partner couldn’t resist a classic big breakfast, this did not disappoint. The roasted mushrooms were perfect and the bread was his favourite.

Avo Smash. I opted for no bread, add extra poached egg. So simple, light and tasty. Next time I might add the bread, apparently the sourdough is delicious.

Zucchini Corn & Pea Fritter (v)
Tasty and plate licking yum. There was this beetroot / vinaigrette drizzle that was Devine. Fritters were moist and baked to perfection.

I had the wrong order for drink and then food delivered to me.
I'll give them another go though. Every one has a bad day

We had a wonderful celebration of our little one’s first birthday yesterday at the Little Growling Cafe. The party set up was awesome. Guests have enjoyed the venue and the games hosted by R&R Duo! Thanks again Rashi and Rishi! Hopefully we can celebrate with you again next time.

Came on Mother’s Day (pre booked a table) it was a mess. We arrived and despite the cafe being pretty empty this early of a morning our table was dirty, all smooshed food left on the seats and under the table even after it was “cleaned up for us” (assuming from children). All our meals came out at different times which meant half table was finished before the other even got theirs and the food wasn’t even that great. We had been told such good things about this cafe which is why we didn’t go to our local and decided to bring the family here. Will

I have been to this cafe several times to grab a coffee and I had been very satisfied with their coffee and service. Especially the guy who works in this cafe was super kind and nice. Yesterday (on the 5th of January) I went there around 10: 30am and ordered an oat iced latte. The coffee came out really terrible. The taste was totally different from the oat latte that the guy staff usually makes! I am pretty sure they didn’t put the espresso inside and it tastes like just ‘Oat milk not Oat latte! ’
When I asked one of the staff about this coffee to make sure if they made it correctly she answered in a very unpleasant and rude way. I think she needs to learn the service mind.

Nice little local cafe with an outside play area for the kids. It has a massive swirling slide that acts as an attraction for older kids. Great place to relax with a coffee while the kids run around the play area.

Absolutely amazing breaky options, and the coffee is on point! Great place to take the kids, too. ️

Kids constantly disappointed with slide locked out even on nice sunny days. Food is often very oily. Coffee is amazing.

The service could do with organisation. Just training. There was plenty of staff just everyone not quite sure their roll. A little communication and a senior person to direct this would be a awesome pit stop. Good luck for the future

Went today despite not living local as the outdoor looked appealing for toddlers, outdoor area was poorly maintained, broken seatbelts, 2 broken gates and a broken fence despite it saying on the website it’s enclosed. Quite worrisome for some that don’t inspect the area themselves as it’s right next to water.

The food were great! Ordered Mumbai toastie, breakfast burger, lattes, milkshake and nugget + chips for my kiddo. My toast was quite spicy, but i enjoyed it. I am "paying for it" in the loo the next day lol but it was worth it! The traditional vanilla milkshake was a bit underwhelming, as it came with the vanilla syrup pooling at the bottom.my kid almost drank it as is coffee was ok, and hubby said the burger was pretty good.

The parking area was decent, lots of parking spot when we came in around saturday lunch time.

The road to get there was very rough, lots of half developed roads.

The playground was very hot (not many sheltered area) so kiddo didn't even try to play under the 30 degrees sun. But hubby said it was an enclosed area, pretty big space for kids to roam around.

The service was a bit lacking.

When we entered the premise, we were left to find a seat and no menu was offered. We thought ok, maybe they thought we have been here before, so didn't complain. Hubby had to go ask for menus at the counter since no one came to our table to serve us after we sat ourselves.

When we went to the counter to place our order, I asked for some water for my pup (it was 30 degrees outside where we sit) and they told us to find a bowl for dogs outside somewhere. So I had to look around the area to find a non existent bowl in the heat, then found a water fountain (thinking this might be it) only to find that the dog bowl part wasn't working at all. So had to go to the counter and practically beg for a bowl because I didn't want to use the self service water cup if i can help it (just common courtesy to other customers).

Overall it was not an experience that I was hoping for, especially for a place with a high review rating. Will we go there again? Probably not anytime soon. I notice that there are issue with staffing (as with many hospitality venues these days) so hopefully when this gets better then we will try again.

Food is great and so delicious but kitchen can be more faster. The service can be more pleasant and a warm welcome will attract more customers!

Quality of the food is top class and customer service is great.only downside is that a sandwich can cost over $15.

Just went in this morning (Sunday) and we waited over an hour for our food. Just unbelievable. And they even came out halfway through our wait to check what we ordered and I think that they only just took my order down then and there when I asked where the hell is our order? Which means they never remembered our order. So we had to wait again. Appalling service. I specifically asked for a number for our table especially as I knew this would happen, (this has happened once before where they forgot our order). The man goes "you don't need a number I know where you are. " Clearly not! Our experience ruined by the ridiculous wait time. Just unbelievable and surely they could have made the food quickly particularly as the food in the end was just plain looking. Definitely a time waster.

Recently I ordered two grazing boxes from the Tarneit store for my son's birthday. We got chicken sliders and cold veg sandwiches. They were so delicious and the presentation was very pretty and most of all clean and neat. The sliders were a hit even my husband complimented them (p.s. He is someone who rarely compliments on food). The girl I dealt with made the process so easy for me with prompt responses both via phone calls and emails. I have dined in at this store too and must also say that it is such a little gem in the west that you must visit if you want to enjoy a cuppa and a good meal with a good view out the back too. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to others:)
