Little Black Pig & Sons reviews
82Amazing Venue, Amazing Food and Amazing Staff. Beautiful Unique Italian food, as close as Nonas Food as you’ll get eating out.
We have been regular diners at Little Black Pig and love the food. It is always at the highest quality and 5 stars, for Italian inspired cuisine. Service is excellent and price is as expected in a high quality restaurant. The owners always know your name and what you ate last time.
Service and food was amazing, the staff and the fabulous chef gave us wonderful knowledgeable and warm service. It is clear they have a passion for what they do and it shows with you leaving feeling completely and utterly full and content.
Thanks for a wonderful evening!
This was our second visit and it was even better than the first, which we thought was fabulous.
Sensational food, the homemade pasta is excellent. Friendly and attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you for another great night. Hope to visit again soon.
Great place for a special occasion. We celebrated a 90th birthday today. The food was great and the staff did everything to make this occasion truly memorable.
Service is exceptional and friendly, the food was authentic, all made fresh there including their own pasta - delicious! Menu is updated every couple of weeks with fresh seasonal ingredients. Highly recommend, glad we made a booking too.
Incredible food and service- chef invited our girls to help him make a fresh batch of pasta, and then gave it to them to take home for dinner. Would return again and again.
Extremely overpriced for what you get. I got the ricotta ravioli and the main size was $37! It came on a flat plate with maybe 10 - 12 very small ravioli. I would have expected a much larger portion for $37 and a bit more flavour. I did wonder what the smaller size would have got you for $24. The citrus tart was very nice, but again, $15 for a thin slice with a tiny dollop of cream. We all left still hungry.
My husband, baby son and I visited this restaurant for lunch on Friday the 15th November and we had a lovely time. Food were perfect from entrees to deserts and coffees. There explosions of flavours in all the dishes that we tried. The service was lovely, we felt we were well look after. We would definite come back to try all the other dishes.
Started with marinated olives and an oyster each, then spaghetti with mussels (etc) and finished with the panacotta. Cannot recommend this place highly enough:) Delicious, satisfying meals and delightfully charming service. Like being at a fancy restaurant and welcomed into a home at the same time.
Lovely little place to come and celebrate my partner's birthday. Delicious appetiser and main meals. Pretty sure my ravioli was hand made, and there was of course complementary house-made bread. The quality of the dishes made the price worth it (around the $35 mark for mains.) Good selection of wines to be paired with each stage of the meal. However, no soft drink or anything for non-alcohol drinkers besides water. Place was cosy, nice interior design and clean, although the wooden chairs did leave us feeling a little uncomfortable towards the end. Very friendly and welcoming staff, wonderful service. Overall, a pleasant experience, would recommend for adult couples and small groups only.
The little black pig never disappoints. Five-star food and service. The food is always excellent. Can highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I finally dined at this restaurant after years of wanting to! We had our first child free night in awhile and decided to go all out and order the 5 course menu. The food and the service did not disappoint. We have dined in Michelin star restaurants in Paris and Rome and this came very close to those experiences. Our waiter was apparently new, however you would never know that. His knowledge and service was exceptional, as was every other waiter. The chef came out to greet us and made the experience even more special. It was certainly a memorable evening and we left feeling very happy and willing to recommend this restaurant to everyone we know! We will be back!
Went in for a coffee. A middle aged balding man grunted at us. We asked to order coffee to which he responded, "Where are your cups? " Placing our order, he sneered when we asked for soy milk saying they probably don't have it. As we turned around to leave, he stated they do have soy milk. He continued to pace around the restaurant making staff feel uncomfortable and throwing around tea towels. Not only bad service but aggressive service.
Had a fantastic lunch here with wife. David and his staff are very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The food is sublime and of a rare quality that distinguishes itself from typical suburban fare. The pastas dishes were fresh, finely made, and it’s hard to find such quality elsewhere. The tasting menu hit the spot from start to finish. Looking forward to returning. Thanks for a wonderful meal.
We love this restaurant - Little Black Pig such a treat to have this type of dining so close to home. Delicious food, beautifully presented. You might pay a few dollars more than the pub around the corner, but there’s no comparison. David’s (owner & chef) high standards are reflected in his restaurant.
Great food, good service - family restaurant, great vibe. Can recommend the pork belly. Catered for gluten intolerance like a champ! Will be back
Impeccable & outstanding service and food. A feeling of luxury and amazing attention to detail. Worth the money for an amazing evening.
Dined here tonight. Father's Day special $80.4 course meal well presented and delicious. Combined with excellent service this was a very enjoyable experience which I can recommend.
Food was delicious. Staff very friendly. Had a lovely night out with my family. I personally had ravioli (pumpkin, leek with burnt butter/sage) and the house special-roast pork belly. Love the idea of the menu changing each week.
