Linda Jane Doble - Dressmaker

Amazing! I had two wedding dresses that needed alterations. Linda's attention to detail and ability to work her magic on these dresses were remarkable. There was extra work that needed to be done on one of my dresses and Linda was still happy to charge me the original quote. Reasonably priced with great results.

Linda is incredibly talented at what she does. My dress was by no means an easy dress to work with and she thought outside the box to achieve an amazing result for me. Highly recommended and a genuinely lovely person to deal with as well:)

Having had many garments made by Linda that are just perfect I concur with all the five star reviews below!

I was disappointed with my experience. I wanted some simple tops made and I got two but they didn't fit very well. They were a bit 'homemade. ' I also get the feeling I wasn't a priority because I didn't have bridal work to give her. The last item I wanted made didn't eventuate at all. There were just lots of promises the work would be done, but a whole bunch of deadlines came and went, and I had to initiate contact all of the time. I get the feeling she'd rather work on garments that make her more money, or perhaps she just enjoys this work more. I just wish she had been upfront about telling me this. It would have been better than waiting around for months without a result. I could have looked for another dress maker. On the upside she's nice.

Linda's studio is a treasure trove of beautiful couteur design - her previous work for ballet companies is on display around the room. She really knows her stuff!

She managed to put together a full wedding skirt and cropped gold sequin top for my event in just a few weeks. It fitted perfectly and I loved popping in for fittings. The whole thing came together perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

A particular plus was meeting Tess the dog, who made the whole visit even more relaxed and informal. I can't recommend this studio highly enough!

Linda was an absolute star. I came to her after a recommendation with some vague ideas about what I wanted. She worked with me in the very limited time we had to create a stunning and superbly made wedding dress. I am still thrilled at how it turned out exactly how I wanted. Thank you Linda! I really appreciate all the time, effort and energy you put into making such a unique and beautiful dress for me.

Linda made some alterations to my wedding dress and I can't recommend her highly enough. She was extremely thorough and the final result was flawless. She turned my wedding dress from something quite uncomfortable that I wasn't looking forward to wearing, into a dream dress. I also saw a couple of dresses that she was making or had made from scratch in her workroom and wish i'd thought of asking her to do this for me when i started looking as they were stunning.

Linda Jane Doble saved a bridesmaid disaster of two dresses ordered online from USA. She works creatively, with style and transformed a pretty ordinary dress into something that not only fitted a thousand times better but was more stylish too! I thoroughly recommend her. She's an angel!

Linda has been just fantastic. I took her my wedding dress that I had started to make myself and she turned it from something that was ill fitting and unfinished to a professionally fitted and finished garment. Nothing was too much trouble, she went over and above and put in lots of extra time to finish off the details that have made all the difference. Highly recommended!
