Lincraft reviews
46Friendly staff, good variety of products in a very central and convenient location, decent prices available during sales. Note that this is a smaller store though, so you'll still have to travel out of the city to go to their bigger branches or to Spotlight in South Melbourne if you're in search for more curtain and blinds accessories.
I'm a crocheter so I'm into yarn. Lincraft usually doesn't catch my eye but this last visit they had some lovely mill ends. Wish I had more room in my baggage.
Generic to poor stock range
Yes I will still shop there if I need to but I will never be impressed by anything here
Poor fabric range, yarns and overall very saggy products.
There’s also an older woman with owlish hair that often serves me who is I often find rude and cranky. Don’t know her name but she must be of a higher rank and working there for a while.
You say it’s open today.
But it’s closed.
Wasted my time tripping into the city especially for this store.
Fun to discover heaps of craft range and keep your creativity alive. Selling many things from fabric textile, painting to homewares
As an FYI for any disabled crafters (Im not) the lift is around the corner of the main entry escalators on Elizabeth St. Just around the corner on Bourke Street - the sign on the buildings pillar will point you in the right direction xxx
Great central location for sewing and craft supplies. Downstairs from street level in a basement area, Lincraft sells homewares, crafts, fabric, and sewing patterns. The staff are friendly and helpful.
You can also join Club LIncraft for birthday vouchers, online offers & sneak previews, 10% OFF dress patterns, and a $10 voucher for every $250 spent in store.
Lincraft is heaps of fun to browse in. So many different craft items. Best to avoid going here at lunch time as it can take a while at the checkout.
Not much product choice. Smallish store but there were lots of the same thing instead of smaller quantities of a wider range.
Lincraft city has a much smaller selection than the previous two-floor store, and smaller than maribyrnong, for example. Staff are friendly, some corridors are tight for mobility aids. Access for disabled through a lift on Bourke Street just before the travel agent.
I really love their clearance bins although not a massive range of everything as it's just a smaller city store. Good place if you need safety pins or quick materials for sewing.
Horrible, grungy shop. Seems to be stocked with items usually found in a $2 shop rather than craft supplies. What's happened to Lincraft? They used to be a great store.
Good for bargains. Not good if you need a peaceful shopping experience without incessant, tinny carols emanating from various Christmas gadgets and geegaws.
Brendan was super helpful and knew exactly where all the products I needed were, for the best prices!
People who do craft work, designs, stitchings do visit this place. I like them. I have their memory foam pillow which is a fantastic quality and it is available for just 15 AUD
It's not a bad store to visit, but do have limited fabric to choose from. Lots of other crafts though.
So so. Could be so much better. Not at all like the glory days where Lincraft was a fabulous spot to peruse and purchase wonderful fabrics.
The fabric range is pretty pathetic if you want anything other than cheap cotton in primary colours. Missing bare essentials for craft or tailoring, and the products they do have are low quality and overpriced. Just save yourself the disappointment and take a tram down to Spotlight.
Large store with lots of craft items. Plenty of ideas for you to try. Everything you need to complete your sewing and more
