Lido Cinemas reviews
52From the foyer, to the menu, to the trailers, to the movie.a great all round cinema experience! Check out the roof top too!
Kind of tucked away, but a lovely cinema and hosts a massive variety of films. The whole place smells like popcorn the second you walk in
I had so much fun during my first time here! It's a great location in terms of transport and food, the venue is beautiful and the atmosphere is very inviting and exciting. The staff are really friendly too, I can't wait to come back.
Lido is a great little cinema and experience. Outdoor rooftop cinema and bar option available. Small jazz room which can be used for comedy too and plenty of small comfy cinemas. Menu options are great and we'll priced for a cinema. Everything from the normal popcorn to wine, cheeseboard, coffee, hot chips and more. Great venue for kids, families, couples or solo.
. This place is in serious need of an aircon, better chairs and speakers.i'm all for supporting small businesses but on this topic you should stick to your hoyts and village cinemas.
The venue is fantastic, the staff are AWESOME, and their selection of films are second to none. Ive come here to watch my favourite movies on the big screen, from LOTR to the Bond movies, to film festivals. Definitely one of the best cinemas in Australia.
Allie was super helpful and made signing up stress less and hassle free. She gave impeccable service and was able to answer all my questions with the ease. 10/10 service would highly recommend her assistant with any questions/queries.
What an amazing gem. Friendly staff, nachos with jalapenos, great view of hawthorn and the city. Comfortable relaxed seating, laid back atmosphere. I will do this one again.
One of the many small-screen, independent cinemas in Melbourne. Doing a good job of showing different films by participating in festivals like the Fantastic Film Festival of Australia. Worth a visit!
Film was excellent.
We ordered coffee and waited 45 minutes.
The place was nearly empty.
We enquired about our order.
The girl who took the order left and the new girl didn't know as about our order.
Mmmmmmmmm not very organized.
Love, love, love this cinema! Beautiful place in the heart of glenferrie, great selection of movies from blockbusters to small indie films. For those more used to European ticket prices, their cheap Tuesday is definitely worth it and make for a great mid-week outing!
We went to the Childrens film festival "Best of the Fest" here yesterday, featuring (obiviously) movies for kids. The cinema was FULL of children, most under 10. I was absolutely STAGGERED that they ran a movie preview prior to the main screening that very VERY clearly featured the "F" word. I nearly walked out. I won't be back.
Great cinema and excellent food but the website can be quite slow and when we watched avengers Endgame we had the exact same tickets as some other people
The place has a great environment that really gets you ready to watch a film. It has the feeling of a nice local cinema with a strong sense of community.
We are regular here as LIDO screens a lot of arthouse and regional movies. The quality of these old school tiny screens is pretty decent. Be prepared to the maintain utmost level of silence during the movies as people are pretty serious about their movie experience here.
Reasonable price if you register for an annual membership (15. $), even better if you also are (Swinburne) student: 11.5$. They have a discount for Swinburne students every Wed as well. The food is just okay. The rooms are nice, biggest room is No. 1 (usually for the hottest movie). Rooftop experience is nice, not sure if you should do this in Melbourne winter time. They have wireless headphones for the rooftop so don't worry about the noise.
Best cinema in the area by a mile. Lovely atmosphere, excellent theatres, friendly staff. Love the jazz room too.
Rocked up for a relaxing 7.00 screening, a little stressed because I was running 5 mins late. Turns out there was no need to be stressed because 25 minutes later it was 7.30 and I was still watching adds, and they were 7mate quality. I don't really rate paying 25 bucks to watch 7mate in prime time, so I won't be back.
My favourite local cinema with all the latest must-watch movies, film festivals, indie movies, theme nights and a rooftop bar. Great customer service, food and drink menu with plenty of variety and usual high quality movie fare. Membership program is worth joining for discounted tickets and special member events.
Came here for a movie, was a subpar movie however will be coming back for the coffee. P. S my boy wheels went there the other day and didn't leave the chair straight afterwards can you please straighten ASAP
