Lido Cinemas

Dreadful service. The young fellow who sold me the ticket had no customer service skills.no thank you, no anything.just held the ticket rudely at me like he resented the effort. Pathetic lack of basic politeness. Obviously the manager and owner of this cinema doesn't invest in customer service. I won't be going back.

Good independent cinema, kept clean and staff are friendly. I enjoy watching the featured arthouse movies.

A really good place for students or anyone, not crowded and really accessible even for people who takes public transport.

At first I didn't feel a good vibe here, but with time I grew fond of this place. The staff are friendly and the designs are good.

We watched the James Bond movie at the rooftop cinema and it was a great experience. Fun vibe, plenty of space for wheelchair or pram access, view was amazing and the rooftop bar was a plus. You get a headphone too but it was crackly throughout the movie so was a bit annoying. 2 types of timber & fabric chairs - front row is a lower beach chair type and the rest are like directors chair type. It was a very cold night when we went and we rugged up plus brought a blanket but something they could do better when its a very cold / windy night is to put the 2 outdoor heaters from near the bar to the seating area so audience can get some warmth. Anyway, go on a warmer day so you’re not thinking about other gold class comfort and it’s fun! ;)

I have been a supporter of Lido since they opened but now they have become the MEDICAL POLICE and are causing much DIVISION and SEGREGATION in Melb with their DISCRIMINATORY POLICIES based on a Medical procedure. Will never, ever go back and will certainly be telling my friends, family not to go. Grrrr!

We had a function at Lidos recently and they were so easy to work with! Always a quick response to all the emails and the were very accommodating to our needs. Would highly recommend them to others! Thank you to all the great staff on the late night:)

Watched the original 'Scream' here tonight as part of a Halloween event - LOVED the idea, it was genius for the holiday. It was the uncut version of the film too, which suited the spooky season more.

Just wish the 12 year old girls sitting next to me would've shut up but apart from that, it was a good cinema environment. A suggestion to the cinema itself, since they weren't the ones in control of those loud girls - comfier seats, please. Recliners, like the ones you would see at other cinemas. I kept wiggling around in my seat and I literally started cramping.

Would definitely recommend the cinema to a friend, nevertheless. In fact, I already have recommended it to a few friends who asked how the experience was. I hope there will be more of these rerelease events soon, it's creative and exciting

Nice independent theater with good popcorn. Seats feel fairly old and the padding is worn down a bit. Could definitely use a bit more.

Cool concept with the rooftop cinema especially with COVID “in the air” but any form of self service booking capabilities is non-existent on their website despite being able to purchase online and they still haven’t replied to an online enquiry from 3 weeks ago despite calling in to follow up last week. Lido, if you’re reading this, please develop a way to amend or refund a booking online especially when online enquiries and even calls are not being followed up accordingly.

I saw a movie. It was me, my chum and one other dude. I don't know the other dude, he was sitting somewhere else down in the middle of the cinema. Sometimes I wonder if I should've asked him what he thought about the movie at the end and we could've been friends.

Had a surprise birthday screening for my partner here and the staff were really helpful and it went seamlessly

Great range of current and classic movie. Excellent cinemas of various sizes. Cinema 1 is perfect for those blockbusters. Engaged and helpful staff. Great pricing options too.

Great movie theatre with a wonderful collection of movies. On the pulse of what is happening. Hope that cinema comes back as an activity once all the lockdowns are over.

Easy parking, easy to get too, no huge wait times, Popcorn is the best. I like the mix of the old and new cinema's. The old ones sound better as well.

Haven't tried the outdoor rooftop yet.

First time to the cinema tonight. Very impressed with the place, ambience and the smaller movie theatres themselves. Will check out the rooftop cinema when is a bit warmer… Will definitely be back. Thanks guys

Love the cinema, just discovered it this week during the $5 ticket special. Cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Definitely going back.
