Food was good… Just need more on the plate… The place is a little dark… Mixed feelings about… ps: the bathroom locks need to be fixed…

I haven't had such delicious food in a long time. The service, atmosphere and restaurant were great. I will definitely come again.

Good food, ordered 4 mains courses and 4 entrees for 5 people and was more than enough, bill was $210 very well priced for how good the food was. I am going to recommend this place

What a fantastic meal (I am a Turkish at heart!). We skipped the entrees and had the Adana, stuffed calamari and slow cooked lamb for mains. Every dish was a delight and lamb is a must have. For dessert, we had the kunefe and that was slightly disappointing as the noodles weren’t crispy and overall, it tasted soggy. Wish the dessert was nice and would be a spectacular meal. We will be back for sure.loved it!

Delicious food and wonderful vibes. I took my sister here when she visited Melbourne. Loved the atmosphere, service, and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back to try more of the platters and dishes on offer!

Second time we have come here and love it. Food is delicious, fresh and satisfying. The owner and head chef even came to our table to discuss the dairy free options for my mother in law. He was so kind and helpful. I also love the ambience of this place with the soft lighting, candles and arches throughout.

Amazing food and lovely staff, my waiters name was batu, we all had an amazing time and the customer service was unbeatable, will be coming again.

It’s been over 5 years since we visited Lezzet and the deal on The Fork app was the perfect excuse to return though there was a discrepancy between what the email and app said that entailed and what the restaurant wanted to honour (they agreed to it as a one off). Unfortunately I found the experience very underwhelming and the composition of flavour poorly balanced. The entree and main were excessively salty and the dessert was overpoweringly sweet.

The main itself was entirely one dimensional. Pieces of chicken in a béchamel with a thin piece of bread on top. If needed vegetables or something else to entertain the palette because I couldn’t keep eating the same mouthful. It is also not remotely authentic which is unsurprising given none of the staff seemed to know anything about Turkish cuisine when asked questions. Certainly not value for money at full price given even the presentation fails to impress

My cousin and I were excited to check this out for dinner as there's a real gap on the Melbourne foodie scene for fine dining Turkish cuisine. It was very dimly lit and had a wonderfull ambiance but the generosity of the portion size immediately concerned me.

They seem to have bumped up their prices when they renovated. The dips and bread are $16.50 and while I do have a fondness for carbs that extends beyond the norm I don't think this is a shareable serving. Certainly not when you think of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean hospitality. Not sure why fine dining seems to be synonymous with microscopic but there you have it.

Diet portions aside there were some good flavours there and the bread was lovely and soft. I was loving the drinks menu and how you can drink your way around the region with from Morocco to Croatia with a cocktail list comprising traditional flavours from the different counties.

I had the Istanbul lamb which I quite enjoyed, it was certainly a unique offering compared to what you find at other Turkish restaurants in Melbourne. In fact the entire menu was very elegant as was to be expected I suppose given we have 'contemporary' right there in the name and we are tailoring to an Elwood audience after all.

Creative but it didn't necessarily wow me enough for a return trip as I missed the presence of a few rustic homely dishes on the menu

Recently left this dated soulless place, took my girl and her friend for dinner, oh please! I won’t go on but order the Turkish bread and the hallumi the bread was a small loaf and the halloumi was small cubes, fit for a child, so they had cut up approx two slices of halloumi diced then tossed in wilted rocket and served on a plate! Even the waiter was embarrassed, yuk yuk for original Turkish food and service
Anyway not many if not any decent places to eat on the Brighton road so you’ll keep open and serving us average rubbish

We celebrated our friends birthday last night and it was fabulous
Food was delicious, service great and staff so accomodating of the barge group

If you have not tried lazzet, you have not visited Melbourne. One of my most favourite food, i take everyone there whoever comes to Melbourne.

The worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. We will never dine here again. The waitress answered her phone while my partner was telling her his order, he was mid sentence. We were both speechless.

We asked for an aperol spritz since they had aperol on their menu. She said we can’t do that. We looked at her confused since it’s just aperol, soda and Prosecco poured in a glass. Then she said ‘well we can try but it won’t be very good’. To save them all the hard work we ordered a more complex cocktail off the menu instead.

Our entree came pretty quick. Then we waited an hour for our mains, for someone to eventually approach us and say ‘you all good? ’. Another 15 minutes later and we finally got our meal.

We ate quickly and walked to the front and paid. No mention from the staff of the delay. Truthfully, the food was really good but nothing is worth setting foot in there again. Massive disappointment.

Awful place and the boss is so rude and doesn't pay his employees so sad to see such people own a shop.

I had 8 guests today, I ordered two family packs of 4 each via Uber Eats. They delivered the goods but I was shocked. It was just for two people! The bread was burnout!

Don’t get my wrong I have eaten in the restaurant many times and loved it.
However last night we ordered takeaway, the quality was pretty poor the potatoes were chewy like they were left over, veg swimming in oil and although I didn’t eat the pulled lamb when my partner was eating it he said it was strange and it was like a weird slab of meat.
Today he has been throwing up from morning till night with food poisoning,
Unfortunately we will not be eating here again.: (

Waiters were very friendly. Service was fantastic. Meals were delicious. I would recommend it to everyone.

The food is so great. The staff are really welcoming. A really good first impression. Will definitely be back for more.

Turkish food with a twist. Really nice design internally that makes you feel like your somewhere in Turkey. Went with a group of 10 and the staff were very accomodating. Tried the Lezzet set menu which was great, need to go back to try other options from the menu. The owner Kemal came past to say hello which was also a nice touch. Definitely recommend!

Taste is excellent, portion sizes are quite big and there are options for all dietary preferences. A special thank you to the friendly staff who took care of us all night. We will definitely come again!

The food sizes were half what they used to be the meat was just a lump and we had to send it back to be carved up, we had to remind the staff items were missing. The dips were tiny just a smear on the plates. Sorry guys you have always been great in the past but not now.
