Levantine Hill Estate reviews
97I have been here to dine and lunch a few times, once by helicopter and meal package, the food and service was excellent. A couple of weeks ago we went back with friends and it would have to have been one of the worst meals we had. The manager was not to excited to hear about it. Super expensive and for that kind of money, you would expect better.
Very nice venue, however the food was average at best. The price doesn’t align with the quality of the food. Mediterranean dishes no better than a local restaurant. At $200 a head you should be blown away by taste. I would suggest to the owners split the menus and allow guests to choose their own plates rather than share dishes.
My son took me to the restaurant for my birthday. What a wonderful experience it was! The food was excellent especially the scallops and the lamb dishes. The wine was paired superbly with the food and the staff so helpful and efficient. All in all it was just a fabulous dining experience and I would highly recommend it to others.
Last night my husband and I attended my cousins Michael&Tash's wedding. Graet ambience, very professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff, very good food and drinks! Beautiful location and breathtaking view!
Only one thing, on the way to the car park there is no light and if you are wearing high heels and you might be a bit tipsy, you may injure yourself.
Very disappointed, the food waz low standard and cheapskate, the service was slow and the price so expensive
Went during a Friday afternoon before the weekend crowds starts pouring into Yarra Valley We tried their selection of 3 wines plus snacks for $75 per pax.
Staff was detailed in explaining their wines. Snacks were reasonably good but would have loved more hot food to go with the drinks.
Ambience is good with spacious seating and good decor. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience but a touch pricey for snacks.we had a piece of chickpea fritter and homemade falafel each; 2 dips with bread and crisps; olives and pickled veges. Even though they had a variety of wines (price ranges from $38 per bottle entry level, with majority of their wines priced at $80 per bottle, and tops at $200 per bottle for Family Paddock range), none of them seems to have been a favourite of mine except the 2016 Estate Mélange Traditionelle Blanc.
Place for a luxury wine and food with pleast experience together with great service. But of you if you after traditional wine tasting not the right place.
5 stars is definitely what Levantine Hill Estate deserves, not only in a stunning location in the Yarra Valley ranges but it's amazing wines and food leaves your palette and taste buds gasping for more!
Service alone is worth the 5 stars and from the moment you walk in, your greeted with smiles and friendly service and in our case, Bree, our waitress did an amazing job looking after us, as did all the staff, whom not only do a great job making sure your happy but are all so knowlegable
Its a great compliment to upper management whom obviously teach there younger staff about their products, including the wines!
Also, the beautiful venue has some amazing artwork/ statues dotted around the outside area, which makes for a nice digestive walk:)
Can not recommend Levantine Hills Estate enough, thank you for a great afternoon on a beautiful Melbourne days
Constantly badgered by staff to order more wine and at 40 - 50 dollars per glass, I can understand why. Lunch for 2 was $450. Food was good but not great.
Disappointing, if this is fine dining then I think the food is just average and menu is definitely overpriced.
Also, some of the wait staff needs to be more attentive, patient and be more personable.
I was taken here for my 30th Birthday and these guys treated us like royalty! The food and wine were spectacular as expected but it was the service from staff that blew us away. Amazing attention to detail and attentiveness throughout the meal, the young staff they are bringing through here are first class!
They gave us a little happy birthday desert at the end and for the finale.a complimentary (very expensive) bottle of premium red wine! Absolutely floored. Thanks for making my birthday so memorable.
Service was late, they got the order wrong and had to wait longer. And had to go after a cashier to pay for food.
The decor and sound system are nice but that is where it ends. We had the 7 course degustation for dinner which is described as a tasting menu, it certainly isn't there to feed you. The servings are tiny, weird tastes such as raw radish with an oyster sauce. It seems in an attempt to justify ridiculous pricing they just throw ingredients together at random. Truffle infusion overwhelmed several courses. Deserts of which there were 3 are disproportionately large in comparison to the " main" dishes. A popsicle of sweet, gluggy turnip was inedible.
The wines are ok but absurdly priced. The waiters push hard for you to keep buying more wine which is embarrassing really. Beyond belief that people can give 5 stars.they must be trying to justify the money they just wasted.
Very good service. Beautiful room. Decent wine options. Kingfish dish was fantastic. Most other dishes on the day were very average.
Went to the wine tasting which was fantastic. Grounds are wonderful with all the sculptures.a must to attend
Loved it. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Prices were high compared to other wineries however the wine was good. Rubbis was my favourite wine
Awesome service, superb wine. Kerryn (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) was just fantastic. Definitely recommend!
Good location with some beautiful views. The place offers all the goodies of the Yarra Valley - good wine, good food and good views.
Having said that, the food was good. I won't really recommend this place for the food. All of the items were good, but not exactly memorable. I highly recommend the lamb ribs, and the Kingfish ceviche. However, the snapper was quite average. I will avoid the Wagyu beef starter - the beef was too salty and the bread too hard to eat.
Service was really good. Everyone was friendly and served with a smile.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Could not fault them. I have dined at many good restaurants and the degustation menu at Ezard was sensational; one of my best experiences so far.
Nothing short of excellence. The team were knowledgeable, feiendly and exceptionally hospitable. Food and service was fantastic - not to mention the brillant tasting wines. Thoroughly enjoyed my time and already looking forward to heading back.
Thanks to Danny and Quienten for making our time great.
