Authentic French cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. Nice place to relax and enjoy nice food and tasty cocktails.

Pretty terrible approach to customer experience. In the midst of a pandemic cooperating with government instructions and wearing face masks is an important thing to do. Blocking people who give feedback to you around this on social media is disappointing.

The best ham Bennie I've ever had. Classic style, exactly the right amount, and the hollondaise was perfect.

Croque Madame
French Toast
This was my first time dining at Entrecôte, a stunning venue just opposite The Royal Botanical Gardens. We were shown to a very chic outdoor dining table, very reminiscent of Paris. The service was elite, very professional but fun at the same time. The coffee and chai lattes were both so good we immediately ordered a second round Our meals were larger than expected, both had very nice taste however some improvements are definitely necessary. The French toast was a little too soggy. The croque monsieur could benefit with a smaller slice of bread, although it was amazingly fluffy, it was very bready and I had to take off the bottom layer to eat only half.

We had a little bit of a mixed review on Entrecôte, expecting something a little romantic and some spectacular food after seeing and hearing rave reviews. We were greeted warmly by their staff at the door and shown to our table in one of their 4 dining areas, their service through the night and anytime for that matter is always perfect. Dissapointingly all of their tables were so close together - like they had tried to cram as many people in as possible, I actually second guessed if I could actually squeeze between the two neighbouring tables to get to my seat. It was uncomfortable and awkward as the area was dead silent to start (530pm seating), we actually had to make small conversation with the people either side of us as you felt you were in their space. It finally got busier and i could actually have a conversation with my partner.
When dining for dinner here you must select from their 2 or 3 course menu, and you are spoilt with options to choose from. There is also a small selection of Hor d’Oevres you can add on, I recommend the spiced beef croquettes. The staff seemed perplexed when we advised them we would share our entrees and desserts, i don’t think it’s that unusual these days, we like to try everything! Their signature steak frites was what I was most excited for, I personally didn’t like the unavoidable sauce (maybe the herbs used) but every person I’ve spoken to loves it, so I believe that goes down to preference.
Everything we had was good, not great, I can’t see myself craving to come back but it was enjoyable food.

Amazing interior, service and food. Came here for the steak + fries and it did not disappoint. Perfect for a date night or celebration.

Gotta give it 5.3rd visit. Quality food. Quality wine. Quality staff. Of course it’s busy - it’s excellent. Will return, naturally.

I’ve been here three times, including the takeaway recently and I never felt I was welcomed. They are moving to a new address soon. So close to my residence but I won’t go again. Food is ok but a bit overpriced.

How good is this place. Great food and atmosphere. Even through lock down the meat and chip baguettes are amazing

Very average breakfast menu. French toast is extremely sweet and does not taste like French toast. Omelette is very basic. Very average meal. I've gone to much better breakfast/ brunch places.

Very cozy place for lunch or dinner. Typical French style restaurant.

Most foods are good especially escargot and tartar du beuf, highly recommended. But their signature dish L’entercote was over cooked.

I point 4 stars because of the service. Not all their waitress are nice and helpful. When I would like to order vinegar and oil for my bread, one waitress told me they don’t have vinegar. Kidding? A restaurant have no vinegar?

We ordered their make-at-home kit from Providoor, and it was incredible.

I don't often leave reviews, but our experience was so good I felt compelled to give a hospo buisness the recognition they deserved in what must be the most difficult year of their existence.

They've thought about the whole experience, from a charming instructions card to a bright and friendly welcome video — they even include a french playlist and a candle.

We'd never heard of Entrecote before being gifted a Providoor voucher, but after this experience we will absolutely be seeking out their restaurant. Thanks team!

They can be quite rude if you don't necessarily look like their target customer (being asian and young at a fine dining French restaurant)

Great food and wine, but the 10% weekend surcharge should be factored into the exe prices. That is definitely not visible in the booking process.

Ordered a toasted croissant and was served to me burnt. Coffee is meh. Stay away from the coffee shops at this block, they are all a hit and miss.

To be completely honest, looking back on everything from the presentation of the place, to the service, to the food of course. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! The perfect way to spend our 10 year anniversary

Excellent lockdown sandwiches! Great products and most of all: it tastes France!
I really enjoyed the roast beef sandwich and the delicious rhum pain au raisin. I would definitely recommend it if you want a typical french lunch ”sur le pouce” as you would have in a french bakery.

My favourite spot to grab a coffee. They cater to almond/soy requests and have a convenient take away window out back until early arvo.
