Le Feu reviews
63Great interesting food in a relaxed cafe style atmosphere. Fast and friendly service at very reasonable rates.
We've visited a number of times and always have a fantastic time. They're great and accommodating with kids. The food is always delicious and the service is always exceptional. I highly recommend visiting.
Le feu offers soooo many amazing dishes that are inspired from Vietnamese and French cuisines. I had their 8-course tasting menu for AUD 50pp, and I couldn’t believe the amount of dishes I got.
I basically ate almost everything in their normal menu, which now helps me to know my favorites that I can order when I return for my next meal
Maybe not the cheapest, but food is amazingly good, we had prawn dumplings, aubergine green curry and seafood pot. Gorgeous, we'll come back.
Casual Vietnamese restaurant.
Beach decor gives a nice feel.
Fresh and tasty.
Friendly staff that looked after us well.
Not expensive. Meals came out quickly.
Outside tables.
Children seemed to be catered well for.
Enjoyable evening.
If i could do an intepretive dance for how my taste buds felt after tasting this food it would be a break dance followed by the moon walk.
Such great flavour packed into every dish. A must try for any foodie.
There service was great and the food was just amazing. So much food (we had the 8 courses) and so delicious. We left very satisfied and talking about going again in a few days.
Great food. Each dish had a distinct and different flavour. The banquet is a great choice to have a little taste of everything. Even had a small selection of Vietnam origin beer!
Food was fantastic, service was very good. This is the second time and it was as good as the fiirst time. Definitely going back again.
Delicious food! The papaya salad and lemon chicken were so yummy. Creme caramel for desert Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
First time dining here, very knowledgable friendly service, we had the 8 course tasting menu,
Chef Kevin, take a bow young man your food is magnificent.
A Hidden gem. Had the 8 course tasting menu bursting with flavour and great customer service. Will be back for sure. Lemon grass chicken, Creme caramel and sugar cane juice were the highlights
This restaurant is Vietnamese with French inspiration, and as it's in a bayside suburb, the decor has a beachy influence - distressed wood, seahorses, fish and anchors adorning the walls. Service was efficient, but not overly warm. It was a Saturday night, and they were busy (we had to go for the second sitting as the first was at 6.30pm). We all shared the fish cakes - four pieces for $12. They were a bit rubbery, as seems to be the norm with Asian fish cakes, and they came with a very strong fish sauce. These were pleasant enough for our starter - a bit rubbery, and a bit fishy. We had wagyu beef curry on the table, grilled lemongrass chicken with rocket salad and plum sauce, along with lamb ribs and a glazed sticky sauce. All of the dishes were delicious, with tender meat and flavoursome sauces. The red chillies on the chicken gave it a shot of heat every so often, when you chowed down on a piece. The thigh meat had great texture, and flavour; always my preferred cut. After deciding to go for dessert, we chose a creme caramel for me, and fried ice cream for the other three. Sadly, we were all a bit disappointed, and those calories could have gone to better use: - (My creme caramel was kinda grainy, and unpleasant, though the popcorn was cute, and the sorbet was splendid. Mr P, cousin K.and friend G.all chose the fried ice cream, mostly because of the sugar cube burning in the middle. Looked funky, but ended up being pretty ordinary. I like the idea of having a chocolate sauce on top, though. We declined coffees, and wandered off into the damp night.
Themed nicely, beautiful food, great prices. 8 course banquet for $50, and we were FULL. Plenty of friendly staff, but most had no clue what they were delivering to what table, for the whole night. No biggy, for us. We were chilllled.
Good ambiance and tasty food. Been in this bayarea from 2 years and didn't know this hidden gem. Even though little bit congested.
Went for dinner after seeing it tucked away on Nepean Hwy. The Bao are absolutely beautiful here, not sticky or flour tasting like some other places. The duck bao was brilliant, lots of sauce. Service was quick and friendly. Overall a really pleasant experience and I’m sure I will return. Parking can be found down the side streets.
Great local restaurant where you can taste the French influence on many Vietnamese dishes. The Vietnamese chef was trained in high-end restaurants and even though they've built this 'beach house' restaurant on a budget, you can appreciate the small but cost-effective details, and enjoy the attention given to quality ingredients, including homegreen mint leaves for example.
Excellent food and service. We really enjoyed our Sunday afternoon meal. Cheap with a 6 course selection for $40. Refreshing Vietnamese flavours. The main at the end was a tasty beef Curry.
Beautiful food, bright and cheerful decor. Staff were very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Reasonable prices and very authentic. You must visit this restaurant
Pleasant place to eat good atmosphere and great staff. The food was delicious. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that it wasn't authentic, rather it was Fusion. So if you're into that you might absolutely love it.
