Lazy River Motor Inn

Importantly the rooms were clean and relatively comfortable. Is basic and a little dated. Reception were friendly and helpful enough. Parking in front of room doors a bonus.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: We booked 3 rooms which had enough beds for 6 adults and 2 kids 7&10 and a 3 year old. During the booking process we mentioned 6 adults and 2 kids (left the 3 year old who does not require anything extra other than what the rooms already come with. (Generally a 3 year old is happily accepted in almost all hospitality without any fuss)
We arrived around 7pm, reception door is closed, no one is around. Rang the hotel phone and a gentleman answered meanwhile I'm Ringling the doorbell. A lady came to the door to unlocked it then went behind the reception without saying any word.
We were clearly waiting to see someone which she could not carel-less about. I stepped inside the door and greeted her saying "hi there how you going? We had some rooms booked "
She asked about the number of guests to which we said 8 and a 3 year old. She said we only booked for 7 guests and wanted to charge for 2 extra people. We had the copy of the booking confirmation which we showed her. She did not even say "sorry" for her mistake/deliberate mistake.
Now she wants to charge extra for the 3 years old because the this 3 year old will use extra electricity, towels, beds and what not! We already said we do not require anything extra in the rooms but if you still want to charge us then do whatever you have to and let's move on.
She tried her best to add extra charge on the system but because she did not provide us anything extra the system would not allow her to charge extra which she did not like it. She took good 15 minutes for 2 minutes work.

FACILITIES: The carpet is million years old and dirty, it also has an unpleasant odour. (I had to keep my shoes on in the room)
Toilet is missing a basin instead it is in the living area. I could not drink out of the tap because the basin looked like part of toilet in my room and I am to get water from the toilet. Look around the room and you see it is very tired and over due for some makeover.
There is no swimming pool in reality (it shows pool online)

$100 for a night which not expensive, but you don't have to pay a lot more to get toilet with a basin and room with no old smell.

Really wonderful experience staying here. Booked last minute an that too calling at 830pm when nothing was there in sight to stay at. Lyn was very supportive and made sure that everything is in the room. I ordered morning breakfast and that too was amazing.
Highly recomended.

Overpriced. Staff are very rude. No pool. You will be charged for anything and everything. Book and go to the big4 caravan park next door instead.

Staff were rude and greeted us with hostility.
False advertising- no pool.
Half used shampoo and conditioner.
Don’t even think about taking the condiments with you- you will be charged.
Don’t dirty the towels in the slightest- you will be charged. Not even being spiteful in distaste of the place, they honestly will charge you.

If you see advertising that says this place has a pool well it doesn't & the air con not very good either

Last minute accommodation was needed on a car event that was bringing up to 50 cars into the town. Called Lazy River and they had a room available, quiet, relaxing and accommodating of our cars as well

Good location. Quiet and dark during the night. Facilities were old but it has everything we needed.

Just returned from a very relaxing 5 days stay, very friendly reception, clean room & pool, quiet, and great place to relax, free WiFi was good. Would go back again
