Laneway 73 Cafe Anglesea reviews
58There’s something wrong with the guy with the bald head. I hope he gets help. He was paranoid / frustrated/ obnoxious.
The better half and I were driving around Torquay looking for something for lunch but not much open on a Tuesday so then went on to Anglesea. We stopped and had a look at the strip and stopped and had a look at this place. We both ordered pizza. Better half ordered a latte to go with and I had a beer. We saw pizzas come out for other people and thought they weren't too big, good size for lunch. We added olives to the prosciutto. Pizzas were really good, coffee was great, staff were friendly. We would go back no worries. We would try some of the desserts or pastries next time. We didn't this time only because we were full. 9/10
Great place to stopby for coffee and tarts. Was on the way from Melb down to Apollo Bay, found this gem to stopby. The coffee and tarts were great. Both the owners were very friendly. Will be back if we stop by.
Coffee & Portuguese tarts are top notch (the barista’s energy is undeniably top notch too!)
This place is a must visit when you are in Anglesea! I ordered the most delicious and fresh toasted panini. Coffee was excellent and the atmosphere and vibe was spot on. Beautiful Italian music playing in the background to add to the great vibe. We stayed much longer than we expected and will definitely be back the next time we are in Anglesea!
We frequented this cafe for the last week, every day! Meals, coffee and desserts were fresh and amazing! Service was 110% always with a smile (Sofie)! Thanks for making our holiday break just a notch better!
Highly recommend this place, food was delicious and the guy that served me is an absolute legend. Made me feel real welcome and at home with 10 out 10 customer service which is rare to find these days.
First time in going to this establishment. Was just stopping in Angelsea with a colleague on our way back to Geelong from Moggs Creek. We ordered the vegetarian pizza from the menu and we were pleasantly surprised of how yummy it was. Exceptional service in a very scenic location on the Surf Coast. Will come here again. A big shout out to the gentleman who served us. Very cordial and laid back.
I always get the sourdough when I'm down this way. They do pies and sausage rolls right as well. It doesn't look like much, but that's because they don't have to. Top marks!
First time at this little cafe. It is run by brothers. They are very friendly, generous and full of life. Generate positive energy around them. Try their chai and cannoli. They were the best even I was lactose intolerant but I just risk it all to try them hahaha
Seemed the place to be for coffee mid-morning Saturday. Unfortunately, we didn't have the same experience as others. 15-20 minutes for coffee, wasn't great, and order was wrong.
Damn that was a good coffee! ️
Great friendly vibe, not to mention the food was bangers.have I said the coffee was good?
All up awesome Little place with good prices.
Food / coffe was reasonable. However, the way the older gentleman with the shaved head (I believe he is the owner) spoke to his younger female staff member was appauling. He repeatedly yelled at her to hurry up and smacked the table in frustration despite her clearly putting in her best effort.
My friend who I got lunch with stated that years ago when he went to this cafe he can recall the same male treating staff poorly.
I felt sorry for the young female, as this may have been her first job and she is being treated poorly by an older male, in a threatening and intimadating manner.
This is unacceptable and I will not support this business. I hope the owner can change his behaviour and create a better working envirmong for his staff.
Great cafe, great food, certainly popular. We were assured our order would not be long and asked after we had received our food if all okay. Well run
I’m proud to be a customer of this iconic small business. The owner works his backside off keeping his many devoted customers not only happy with great coffee but some yummy extras. I’m a big fan of the Carrot Cake and can also vouch for the croissants. The banter is fun and sincere. Keep up the good work!
Grabbed a coffee from this place and it was delicious. Nice and hot, perfect amount of froth and chocolate. Will be back again.
Delicious coffee! And a lovely owner who was up for a chat even though he was so busy with endless coffee orders!
Had a delicious lunch here today. Service was fantastic! Very friendly and happy person serving. Had a very generous glass of wine and was given two yummy coconut macaroons for free because it was my birthday! Thank you!
Outstanding pizzas and cannoli. Friendly staff and great service. Walking distance from the Anglesea Family Camp ground.
Tony treated me like a friend even though this was our first time at this Cafe.
Paninis were good, the cannolis were superb.
