Lambys Tavern

Good old reliable lambys. Would get 5 stars if you could still pay for drinks with credit card. Its a cash industry, but that's just greedy.

A very large space with low ceiling, makes you feel claustrophobic. Improper ventilation makes it very hot when crowded. Very rude staff and management, throwing my friends and me out to make room for incoming crowd. And they had the nerve to slap baseless harrassment charges on us, after kicking us out without a single word. Really pathetic treatment in the new year.

It's not a bad place to go. Drinks are ok priced, entry is responsible. The thing that makes lambys great is the old school tavern look and the music is always good. Staff are also really nice and give great service and do a good job.

Usually pretty clean. The live proformances are amazing to watch and drinks aren't overpriced. Music is always good here too and the staff are always the best part I always have the best time talking to bar staff or bouncers. Always one of the most popular places to go on a Saturday night.

Unfortunately their door store staff are not educated on their most recent RSA and will not not allow entrance on digital id.please educate your staff.

Very bad service from the girl on the counter.
Had paid the entry amount but still prevented us from entering and forcing us to pay again.

The girl at the counter was impudent and behaved like a pig. Me and my friends went out for smoke. When we came back she was not letting us in and asked to pay us again. She could not even remember the stamp which she herself put in our hands while taking the entry fee. (What is the purpose of putting a stamp then?). Really need to upgrade the memory cards of their brain. Moreover, she was not letting me in to take my jacket which i left inside at the couch and pulled be back forcefully. Really disappointed with the counter staff. Never going back again and would not recommend it to anyone. Please train your staff a bit hospitality.

Great place, good vibes, bring all your friends, band downstairs till late then DJ is on, club upstairs, smokers area out the back no glass allowed. Plenty of seats, great times to be had, ATM at the entrance or a commenwelth ATM just next door, $10 entry fee. Wonderful staff members, really makes the experience.
My go to place to party in Geelong, would recommend.

Went in this weekend with a few friends for a quiet drink and that Jessika Powers from that awful TV show turned up. Management reserved a booth thus knew that trash was coming. Staff looked embarrassed when she and her girl friend started having sex on the table.

Just managed poorly.through the night it was enjoyable but on the flip side there were things not so enjoyable. I think it's a flip of a coin how your nights going to go. Depending on the mood of management and staff and if your unhappy about something there's no one that can help you it's a bad luck attitude.
Lambys has a interesting vibe can see the appeal for young crouds with not much clubbing experience and only been out in geelong.

This is a venue that is generally visited as one of your final stops for the night, as the band doesn't start until 11: 30 - 11: 45pm on a Saturday night. The crowds start to come in around 10pm. The band plays a lot of aussie classics, which the crowd gets into. The staff were all friendly and gave good service.
There is a cover charge ($10 when we arrived on the Saturday night).
The bar has a fairly limited selection of beers and venue is cash only, so make sure to stop by any atm before venturing here.

The manager is very rude person & disrespectful, seriously he need to learn how to tread people before he start business.

People who came to club are our family, friends & neighbors, and we respect for each other.

Asked for the dress code, I came from other state. It’s a waste of the time. I was wearing casual pants. They’re won’t accepted for the entry for the pants. Unfortunately I have to give you rate on poor quality rate because you are useless

Free OJ/soft drink for designated driver. Cider $5.50 a scooner. Free entry before 10pm. $10 entry after 10pm. $5 coat room service. $2 a game for pool. DJ. Clean. Lots of fun.

Always a good choice for a night out, sometimes it can get a little stuffy and overwhelming when only one area is open; Can never go past a Mario Kart!

The love child of a dive bar and school disco. Girls a plenty, but be prepared to see a small part of your soul wither and die as you part with your $10 on entry. There is no coming back from lambys. There is only the person you can never be again.

I've been to Lambys plenty of times over the years, and everytime it's great. If you're looking for a night out, worth heading into Lambys.

The staff and bouncers are not very warm - The "cash only" requirement is an unwelcome change. Poor signage for "closed" areas lead to some unpleasant interactions with staff.

Venue would have made a perfect tavern to relax. Instead it's just filled with horrid music, poor service, & encouraged obnoxious (sometimes hostile) behaviour. Don't know why Lambys still holds an RSA or why people go. All I can say for certain is, I've had more enjoyment grazing my face on asphalt.
