Laksa Town reviews
38The laksa is just next level yum. If you like laksa, this is certainly the place to get it
I recently visited this small gem, and the food was incredibly delicious. A must-try is their g cheong fan, and the yong tau foo quickly became a personal favorite. Don't miss out on the tasty three-layer tea. Overall, a delightful culinary experience in a cozy setting. Highly recommended!
This shop is located within the plaza, almost next to a Hong Kong supermarket. Simple seating arrangement, probably not great for a social setting. The laksa is authentic, more spicy than Laksa King. Among the seafood, you get 2 pieces of prawn and a mussel. The soup tastes really nice. I highly recommend it if you like spicy laksa. The flavour leans towards the KL style. You can opt out of the samba chilli, but the base soup tastes too spicy for me. No more set menus on offer.
Small Resto in an alley way, that's what it felt like to me. Really a surprise. Nice setting and great food!
Little shop, big heart!
IMHO, the most authentic Malaysian-style laksa gravy I’ve tasted to date. (Been disappointed too many times with other curry mee pretenders). Best part of this rendition is the fact that they use it as a base for different laksa toppings - seafood, yong tau hoo, chicken, roast pork and fatty beef (pictured).
Place is small but the service is warm and the servings hearty. Each comes with generous bean puffs, green beans, bean sprouts, eggplant, fried fishcake, mix of bee hoon and yellow noodles plus your choice of toppings.
So far, we’ve tried the yong tau hoo, roast pork and today, the beef version. Yong tau hoo could do with some non-fried variety, roast pork could do with a bigger portion, but today’s superior beef was 5 stars. Ended the meal with a kopi-c. On a less freezing day, I’d opt for the kopi-peng (pictured) all day, any day.
Other patrons at neighbouring tables had equal servings of laksa, prawn noodle soup and apparently, the popular duck had sold out. 10/10 will return to try rest of menu.
This is my number one place for having laksa. Have been here more than a few times and never been disappointed with the taste of laksa. I would recommend it 100%!
Good sized meals but no gluten free options. I was really disappointed with my seafood laksa which was bland in flavour. Had the mixed entrees which were oily and not hot when brought to the table
Low-key and hidden from view, but one of the best restaurants in Clayton.
The laksas are absolutely fantastic. They're not afraid to put their own spin on a classic. They make half a dozen or so variants all with different toppings - you can even get yong tau fu or crispy pork. They also offer the option of switching the laksa soup base for a clear chicken stock for the health-conscious.
The prawn soup blew me away. The stock was amazing - such a concentrated prawn flavour.
Had lunch on a Saturday and was lucky enough to get a table. A small unassuming restaurant with limited seating, but a steady stream of customers wanting to dine-in. I had the Town Laksa which had two small prawns, a couple of pieces of chicken, several pieces of crab sticks and vegetables. However, the meal had more ingredients than laksas I have eaten elsewhere, so nice value for money. Would like to eat here again if I can find a free table.
Have been here numerous time. Laksa here is of very good quality and very yummy. Reasonable price and fairly quick service. Worth a try.
One the best Laksa I’ve had! Super worth it for the price. Paid $18.50 for Set A meal which includes a laksa of your choice, drink and veg spring rolls. I highly recommend the crispy pork! Super good! Will definitely come back.
A popular laksa noodle place that's been around for a while.
Regulars come for their favourite Malaysian hawker dish
Can be hard to get seating during busy periods.
Authentic flavours in the broth make this place reliable for a good quick fix.
Cosy little Malaysian eatery tucked in a quiet arcade. Easily missed if you are walking around to look for a place to eat. Authentic food with decent prices. Must try their chicken noodles with shallots! I get it every time I'm here
First time customer, will definitely be back, ordered the seafood laksa and Teh Tarik (cold). The service was good, Laksa serving was very good also. Prawns and Mussel were fresh and tasty, shame only one mussel but that's fine, the broth had lots of flavour, great spice to coconut milk ratio. Menu looks good so I'll be back to try another type of laksa.
I was also given 3-4 mini spring rolls, probably part of the set menu, for $21 it's excellent value.
It's in the Arcade just off the shops on Clayton Road.
Charming little spot inside clayton plaza.loved their town laksa, and they've got a great selection of malaysian drinks as well!
Rather bland tasting Laska and was served warm.missing that Umami flavour kick.will not be back.
The Laksa is highly recommended. Serving was generous. I would also recommend trying their Malaysian drinks, in our case, Malaysian milk tea and coffee. It was strong and not too sweet at all. We really enjoyed our experience. It maybe a small cafe but they were busy each time we come here. Real respect for our small businesses. Don’t judge by it’s looks. It was worth waiting for.
Not bad laksa.i just wish there is meatball laksa.taste is there. I could have added extra condiment to make it better, but yeah it was pretty good without it. I had yong tofu laksa
Had the Yong Tofu Laksa. Brings me back to Malaysia. Delicious with the level of spiciness. Can't go wrong with laksa here.
Been here couple of times and never get dissapointed. 1 tips from me though, sont bother getting yong tofu, better get the town laksa and get the additional sides crispy tofu that way you enjoy 2 type of laksa in 1 go and of course with extra crispy tofu
