Ladbrokes Park Sandown Racecourse reviews
37 Toilets were over flowing, dirty and not fit to be opened.
Grandstand could do with a clean up of previous days rubbish.
Participated as a marshal for a track day for a club recently.
The venue itself it’s clean and well maintained.
However the marshal points need an update. No shelter or places to place flags in a quick and safe position. Could use some minor upgrades to make its 5 star venue for track days.
Now it is the place for Covid 19 vaccine. Check the website before you go, that are they allow walk-ins. As they have long lines, take a water bottle with you.
Had a Covid shot there. It's huge, looks really well kept and tidy. I've never been there before.
Covid immunisation centre was in the top tier great views of both the tracks and the lake.
Covid nursing staff were great.
I don't follow nor go to the races, I'd imagine it would be really good.
Love Ladbrokes park race course but food from the snack bar was atrocious 4 dims and bucket of chips 21 dollars you could not eat dims Sims they were fried to hard like rocks and the chips were soggy with oil and covered with too much salt will take food for kids next time I go
Busy at the caravan show. All laid out well with plenty of room to move. Ammenities fairly clean. Food was expensive for what you got
Went along and a lovely doctor gave me a vaccine for the coronavirus. Absolute five star A+ experience, highly recommended.
We went for a Covid vaccine. The place looks impressive. It was set up for a vaccination area. That was handled efficiently and very friendly attitude. There was assurance of being able to handle any emergency. But not enough people coming for the jab.
Visited the Caravan and Camping Show, arrived around 11am and found the people organizing the parking were not coping. Large queues. Enterance had scan in, but no one there could explain how it worked. Lots of displays and very busy till it rained, crowd thinned out and made it easer to get info or served. There should be a way to get a refund on tickets not used, as my wife could not come due to not feeling well. Lots of caravans on display including camper trailers mobile homes, tents and swags. Worth a visit but no lay out maps available of where the companys are located.
Visited for motor races.grand stand allows you to see most of the track but the weather left much to be desired.
The run down overlooked racecourse run by the Melbourne Racing Club. Pity because the track itself is great and races true. But if you want run down facilities, the poorest treatment of owners and over priced $10 a can beer then this is your place to find it.
The place was Hugeeee when I visited during the Royal Melbourne show, where we watched the horse riding competition had convenient seats, everything u need is close by too, also the train station was pretty big compared to the rest, lotta fun
The warrior of metroploitan racetreacks. Lakeside and hillside tracks allow it to absorb a stack of racing in the winter months. Ideally situated in the booming southeast of melbourne. The MRC seem to be set on selling this workhorse (on land originally gifted to them by the infamous john wren) for short term gain. Why? The let's elope bar upstsirs behind the winning post is a time capsule with massive posters of various festure winners at sandown from the late 80's to early 90's. Testimony to the neglect shown to sandown by the MRC. Shame on the MRC for their short term greed in selling this grand campaigner of melbourne's metropolitan racetracks. Their avarice knows no bounds. With caulfield closing as a training centre and cranbourne & pakenham expanding as training bases the MRC are killing their logistical golden goose. Long live luther's luck!
Don't like races but enjoyed the food and booze. Will recommend the food and booze. No idea why anyone would watch a horse race.
Excellent place for car racing and horse racing.
Please don’t go alone you would be boring you can be with a gang or best with your family which make you a lot lots of fun. And take a professional camera with you which help you to take lot of memories making photos there are lots of memories making place or occasions
Have a great fun with your family’s or your gangs
I was given an 8 lap V8 experience as a gift and absolutely loved it. Cars are great (you can choose Ford or sh*tbox). Track is the full Supercars course and you can go as hard as you like (until the corners). The induction is really a 5 min video and 55min of up-selling; want a photo, want telemetry, want that framed, video, christ they are even up-selling a hair net.
Still. I got to go really fast.
Great midweek free entry. No pencils and slips of paper supplied. No play equipment for kids. Wobbly bench seating. Grounds have no floral aspect to them or anything of visual interest like a statue. Bar service good. Screens and betting machines good. Stables good.
Came here for the hunting expo. Lots of vendors, not the most organized expo I been too as I asked the ticket sellers where the speakers/seminars are and they couldn’t tell me.the place is massive so lots to see. Definitely worth the 1 hour drive. Tempted to get a rifle now to learn now to hunt. Haha
The exhibition was well layed out this year and a lot more people present on the day and although something's were harder to find like n gauge stuff overall l really enjoyed it.
I went to Sandown to watch round 2 of the MSCA motor racing. It was quite a warm sunny day and tbe drivers were getting quite hot in their race suits. The track owners should provide an air conditioned room for drivers to await their session. Also, there are very few shaded area for spectators to escape the sun.
