La Porchetta Sydenham (Temporarily Closed - Relocation)

Great food as always. Love what they've done with the old Lone Star building. It's now very cosy and beautifully finished inside.

Ordered online. Steak cooked to Mr and rare properly. Sauce of raw mushroom and gravy gross. No cream. Manager looks like he couldn't care less

Fantastic food and fantastic service, the staff are so friendly and the guy (manager or owner) is really welcoming as well. Tasty food and great set up.we’re new to the neighborhood and this will be definitely our weekly restaurant to go to.

Had uber eats and this is how I received my mousse in a coffee cup, no presentation dark and thick, not fluffy not even mixed properly so dissappointing waste the $$ now I know why I hardly order from there. My seafood pasta had 1 prawn million baby mussels and cheap fish waste more $$ never will order again don't know how cooks not chefs can allow this food to be sold saaaad!

Very average, risotto was undercooked and had little sauce, cannelloni was just warm, looked like was microwaved. Spaghetti bolognese was below average, gnocchi was ok

Just enjoyed a delicious meal at La Porchetta WG. We had a Chicken Parma with Vegetables
Portion size was very big and the quality of the food excellent. Price is also good for the portion size and quality. I haven't eaten here for quite a while and I will be back again as I noticed a step up in all areas.
The service was excellent by all staff and no wait time at all. Great job.

It's not the roomiest of restraints, but they make the best seafood garlic pasta and I have to say I've had the same dish in other regions and they just don't compare. The staff are also really attentive.

Nice food. Disgraceful service. Had to get a second waitress to clear plate. Went to pay at designated counter. Stood there for 5 minutes and was ignored by at least 6 employees. Told them I was going to walk out if they continued to ignore me. I was so angry I threw my payment at the manager who couldn't understand why I was irritated being ignored
I will never go there again and I advise anyone thinking of going there to do the same.

Lasagna is super sour and the pizza is extra salty. I felt I needed a medical check-up after the meals there

OMG this has to be the worst meal we have had ever. The veal scaloppine, 3 pieces, each the size of half a slice of bread and as tough as an old piece of leather were sitting in a "White Wine sauce" that tasted like raw egg yolk and un cooked flour and mashed potatoes that were lumpy. The pleasure of this terrible meal $31.90. NEVER again.

Food came out fast. Ribeye was very bland and un seasoned. Garlic prawns was like eating a bottle of salt with the meal.
Table service was excellent

Love their fettucine calabrese, and most of their pizzas, house wine is well priced very prompt service

Catering for groups is their specialty.

The restaurant is showing signs of age,

Toilets desperately need refurbishing and some of the future requires replacing

Waitresses walk around like they rather be elsewhere.
Ordered steak rib eye $36 medium rare, portion was so thin and was cooked as a well done. Also we had a Penne mushroom but they brought out fettuccine pasta instead, cheesy garlic bread was soggy and the cheese was all patchy and greasy. When I informed the staff they replied with an "oh" and walked back to the kitchen. No sorry or asked if I'd like anything else. She didnt even come back. Only good thing was the jug of coke. We still had to pay for our dinner rounding off to $80 although we barely ate the food and management didn't care. Worst La Porchetta ever and it's not the first time at this one in Sydenham.

I often get food from here, the price is acceptable but the quality of the food can really be a hit or a miss, I wouldn't say the food was bad ast worst but it seems to miss something, other times the food is amazing.

If waitress spent less time talking to friends on another table we would of stayed for a meal. 20mins and no one came to table to take order so we left.

Large menu with variety of italian foods. The food was decent and the service was lacking. Overall a decent place to eat.

Terrible service and food. Waited over 20 minutes just to have our order taken. Waited 30 more for 2 bowls of pasta that were soggy. Asked about my son's meal 4 times as he never received it. We didn't even eat as they claimed no kids meals were waiting to be made so we walked out. Complained to management on the way out and he didn't care. Never going back.

My experience with la porchetta in watergardens is absolutely disappointing. The service is terrible and the staff have no idea how to take orders, very unprofessional! The pizzas are soggy and disgusting. This place needs to shut down seriously what a joke, never coming back here!
