La Porchetta Niddrie

Awarding any star is way too much of a compliment for this bad restaurant & I join the ranks of unsatisfied customers (that have received no or rude managerial feedback) noting poor service & food. As a part of a recognised restaurant name, the Niddrie restaurant is the only La Porchetta that I'm disappointed with. My last pizza order was off peak time & came delivered not fully cooked. I don't understand how a chef or restaurant would serve food like this. I've learnt my lesson & will never waste my money here again. To all diners that have given positive reviews I'd suggest broadening your dining experience if you think this place is acceptable.

We ordered from the uber two pastas Main Pescatore Napoletana pasta and Main Pollo E Avocado pasta. And I requested to remove avocado but they removed chicken instead of avocado and I threw the pasta. Pasta was tasteless.

We’ve been to this restaurant 3 times now, every time we’ve come unfortunately the customer service is terrible.

There has always been an order missing or wrong. There is one waitress who just puts the plate down in any random corner of the tables and walks off rather than saying aloud what the meal is and allowing us to say where it should go, mind you, it is not particularly busy so they have the time to do so.

The food is delicious although there have been times where it’s been missing ingredients for example the mushroom in a “chicken and mushroom risotto” and when we brought this to the waitress attention she just stared at us as if we were lying.

We would come again but definitely not anytime soon, perhaps the staff need some training in how to take their time with their tables and smile once in a while, I’ve never seen the girls smile.

Ordered two pizzas delivered and received one, went back to store and was told there was nothing they could do

Really sad to see this la porchetta going down hill and becoming like the rest, by far this use to be the best one around we loved it but have noticed the past 2 occasions it’s not the same not sure if new owners or not but it’s definitely not the same, the service is really bad we waited nearly half hour to order our food only to have our order stuffed up.

A good family Restaurant where you can indulge in a Variety of italian dishes which have made La Porchetta known and famous for.
The service staff is very attentive and friendly.

This time the rating goes down from 5 Stars to 3 stars, based on the fact that two Dishes were Delicious and other two being a pasta and a pizza weren't up to standards enjoyed on previous visits.
The pasta was very bland and the large pizza was more dough than filling, a disappointment as it was more or less a small pizza disguised as a large pizza. I compared todays pizza with previous posted pizza pics and the difference is obvious.

Save to say, this is a critical review as a means to provide some feedback for a positive outcome.

The pasta dish had raw egg chunks in it

The tiramisu was 10% cake, and 90% cream, and the small piece of cake that was in. There was very bitter and literally dripping with coffee liquid. One mouthful and it went in the bin. It is the most disgusting thing I have eaten in years

To say, I’m very disappointed is an understatement. I was really looking forward to both products and usually going with a large name. I would assume the quality would be so much better. If I could write this -5 stars I would.

Garlic bread was too expensive for what it was. It was very loud. Customer service was mediocre at best. Food was just ok. Nothing to rave about.

It's a good place if you want a casual dinner. The food and service was good but not memorable.

Staff smile and are always happy to assist. The food was delicious and the place is spacious and relaxing.

Great unpretentious Pizza, looking after hungry families since 1980-something. Take a trip down memory lane, get a super special & a litre of house wine and watch the world go by on Keillor Road from the street dining. Great customer service, fast & attentive service, love it.

Worst pizza and pasta I have ever eaten no flavour in the pasta.
Pizza was was raw in the middle paid for extra prawns and muscles and got extra olives.
And the moose desert was like a rock.

I am very disappointed that the food was not fresh at all. The fries looked like they were made two days ago and the chicken didn't taste anything like chicken. The mushroom sauce was disgusting. The service was good but the food was not good at all

Went for dinner last night for my daughters birthday! Friendly service! Great local restaurant.

Really really disappointed with the $140 worth of pizzas we ordered tonight. They were in edible. It makes me feel queezy just thinking about them. The chicken was scarce and tasted nothing like chicken, all pizzas were salty, the cheese didn’t have flavour, even the margaritas were in edible. 4 adults, 4 teenagers and a child, who usually love pizza were all unsatisfied, so a tonne of pizza is left over…. Sorry la porchetta, we eat in your restaurant often as we like it for a reliable tasty family meal, but take out tonight was not a great.

Best pizza bases I've had in ages. Toppings are excellent too. When i niddrie i would not buy from anyone else

Service was extremely disappointing, understandable the restaurant was busy however there was ample staff on the floor yet the service was extremely slow and poor and staff were incompetent at performing simple service. The food was very average and waited in excess of 20 minutes for a bowl of chips.

We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions. Best laporchetta we have found in our area.
Pizza, pasta and seafood risotto to die for.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely service and tasty pizzas. Had ‘super special’ and was the best i had in a while.
