La Porchetta Mentone reviews
62Wow.hv been ordering for months and getting it delivered to my door.though the last 4 times they had forgotten items ect.go to order tonight and told they no longer deliver.just another way to loose customers.bring back the old owners at least they respected all there customers.
If there’s one thing I DETEST it’s inconsistency! Having not eaten at a La Porchetta for years, I was happy to learn they now have a vegan menu. Tried the penne vegano and pizza in the Sale Vic restaurant and it was really very good. Surprisingly good. The menu said pasta in a creamy sauce and that’s what it was.only vegan. So I decided to order it from Mentone via Menulog. And wasn’t THAT a huge mistake? ! Pale, squishy garlic bread that smelled like old doughnut oil (seriously!). And the pasta was inedible. Like REALLY inedible. There was no cream but a sea of watery oily goo at the bottom of the container. I called them to ask if they use the same recipe and ingredients across their chain and was told “it’s not a cream colour or anything” as they use a coconut oil cream. Sounds like they just use coconut milk to make some runny goop and pass it off as a cream sauce here. At nearly $22 a serve (WTF!) it’s an EPIC waste of money!
La Porchetta one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to yet, delicious food and for very reasonable prices and food came very quickly for us.
Service has gone down over the last few years. Very slow as the previous comments state for this place.
30+mins wait for 2 x medium take away pizzas.
When i arrived home and opened the boxes the crusts were burnt.hopeless.
Good food can't complain too much, definitely not gourmet or anything supper special. The rib eye is really nice though.
Food here is extremely satisfying one of the best pizzas in Melbourne. Excellent customer care.
Great food, quick service.
Adapt food if you have any requests. Good value for money.
Always visit when in Mentone.
Absolutely awful. Bad srevice and worse food. The place is dirty and the atmosphere is non existent. The staff are sour and grumpy, highly unprofessional. Not recommended.
Easily the best la porchetta in Victoria. There is something about the way would make their pasta sauces that leaves both their sister stores and competition for dead
Not great on a hot day. The food was good but expensive for the serving size. Staff not very friendly.
Not a good dinner out. The food was mediocre but the pizza was especially soggy and terrible. The food all came out at different times with a 5 - 10 minute wait between.
The waitress was in such a bad mood. She didn't smile once, slammed our drink glasses down and made it obvious she was not happy to be serving any one. The poor old couple behind us also copped her grump! Infact all the wait staff were as miserable as the pizza.
We will not be back. You make Dominoes gourmet!
Wasn't busy and service was so slow, over 40 mins for my main to arrive. Based on previous visits very disappointing.
Worst feed I’ve ever had, food tasted frozen and out of date. Service was poor. Don’t recommend.
Good food at reasonable prices nice dining am a regular at mentone. Tried otheres but mentone is the best
I am really disappointed about the customer service and also disgusting food I ever had. I never recommend this place to anyone.
Used to come here all the time probably 10 years ago when the food was actually high quality. One of the main reasons we came here was because they had some of the best Italian and the portion sizes were BIG! But recently, probably in the past 4 years or so their quality has gone downhill big time. It must be a change of chef/management because the food just doesn't have the same taste as before.
Our kids had a nice meal, and we had a nice entree, but took 40 minutes for a pizza to be cooked, and they got the order wrong. We were hoping for La Porchetta to be our new local, but that won't be the case after tonight unfortunately
Good pizza, good pasta, terrible house wines. But my kids love their garlic and cheese focaccia, and my partner likes to eat spaghetti carbonara with a piece of their meat and bbq chicken or Hawaiian.very recommended.
Absolutely perfection all the way beautiful staff greet & seat you & wait on your even Fussiest of diner's than we all know can really push your patients. Our experience was delicious & delightful.
Very basic. My wife and I had the chicken parmigiana. It was huge covered in cheese and served on a huge pile of chips. If thats your go and basic pizza and pasta is what you're looking for this place is for you. You know when you look at a parma and just try to imagine the chicken as its so huge.this is that kind if place. Go with the kids. Have the pizzas as they look a better option. Beer $9 -$10 a glass of wine similar. Average at best. But you knew that before you went!
