La Porchetta Mentone reviews
62Food is great. Excellent service, particularly from Jules. She is not only very attractive but friendly and always willing to chat with customers. She is one reason we patronize the restaurant regularly.
After receiving a Uber eats message saying our food had been delivered in fact it did not! We called La Porchetta to be told that it is not their problem that the Uber driver had accidentally clicked that our food had been delivered when collecting the order. At that time we were not notified.
The so called manager kept talking over me, not allowing me to talk and was extremely rude. The only option we were given was for us to pick up our order. This was not possible for us, however the manager said that it was again not her problem. We will never order or eat at this restaurant again due to the terrible service!
Had been a steady pleaser for a long long time. Something has changed though. No longer good value either.
Super surprised this La Porchetta at Mentone gets halfway decent (only 3.8!) reviews. Tried for the 3rd time last night after two previously bad food experiences. I usually love La Porchetta but this one uses cheap ingredients on the pizzas and gives tiny serves. This was a $19 Caesar salad. Contained about 3/4 of the serve I get at other La Porchetta franchises.
Ordered home delivery a few nights ago. Food was fine. Downside was 2 items were missing and another not as ordered. Tried to call the restaurant to no reply, that's ok as they could have been busy so I sent and email. Still waiting for a response which I now consider rude and very poor cutsomer focus.
Hi this is my review on this place.
The. Place is is wonderful
Food. It takes 10 minutes to get the Food
Staff. Nice staff and good customer service
Drink's. The drinks are tasty.
Food. The food is tasty and good 10/10 for the food.
I do recommend this place.
Although I give this place a 10/10.
The person that answered the phone was a champion! I accidentally ordered online on the wrong location (Mentone) and was calling to let them know as I was not going to pick up. They were gracious and offered a refund. I cannot thank them enough for being understanding and providing excellent customer service. Ten out of ten!
Just had a medium Mexican pizza most of it ended up in the bin not cooked properly or cut properly Thursday pizza maker on the 8th of June some cooking retraining might be needed
Food was dry,
It was like the pizza bases were made earlier in a day as when I got there around 630 it was dried out flavour less base.
My wife ordered the seafood platter and that was sent to the table around 7/10 minutes before I got my Pizza.
Amazing food and service always but the prices are starting to become like pancake parlour. 2 people = $100 plus.
Taking the family your pushing $300.
Very ordinary pizza. Our entire family had the same reaction. They market the food as Italian, which could not be further from the truth. Poor quality rubbish ingredients.
For an upper class area you would think a restaurant would be nicer than this. For starters the toilets are disgusting and the doors don’t even close properly in the females, graffiti and not clean.
Ordered 5 meals and a meal didn’t get put through
The seafood platter had more garlic on it than seafood, un edible it was that disgusting
Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Lovely service friendly people who helped out with a massive school order and we're super grateful. The pizza is consistent and has an excellent medium thickness base. The toppings are fresh and generous.
Friendly staff great customer service excellent food and the staff make you feel welcome and l recommend a lot of people to go there one of the best la porchetta restaurants to go to better than the one in Rathdowne Street in carlton the la porchetta restaurant in carlton is terrible to go to l do not recommend people to go there the food is terrible very bad customer service and they do not wipe the tables down at all and you will get food poisoning just like my husband did
Good for families. Took grandchildren there. Plenty of room to sit. Fast service. Staff pleasant
Been here a few times. Alway go for the Original La Porchetta pizza. Partner had the mushroom pizza and we had a few drinks. Never really that busy when we are in for lunch on weekends. Staff prompt and inviting. Just a good place to grab a bit. Whenever we are in the area we drop in. Parking in front usually hard, but lots of parking around on street neae by. Is a very large space, so you do notice when not many people. Good Italian themed interior.
I dined here a few Sundays ago. I should have walked out straight away rather than what I and other customers were subjected to! There was a large group of about 25 adults and children. The yelling and screaming of the children was an absolute joke! They and the adults had absolutely no consideration for other customers dining in to have to listen to the behaviour. The manager didn't have any balls to confront them, and as such everybody else was forced to put up with behaviour. I'll never go back there again.
It’s not la porchetta pizza anymore pizza was horrible chunky round ham instead of salami on a Mexican
Horrible disgusting. Barely warm and doe tasted like stale bread. So much tomato sauce base you couldn’t taste anything which didn’t matter because there really wasn’t much topping. Pizza soup with cheese.
Waste of time and money, never again.
One star was a push. Just awful.
Have had lunch, dinner and stacks of takeaway pizzas here and been happy with the standard. I'm not expecting fine dining so I have no reason to complain.
What I like about this La Porchetta includes the ease of getting a seat (booked or walk in), the quality of the pizzas, the reasonable prices and the availability of entree size mains for those not blessed with giant stomachs.
I recommend it for simple fare in a kid/family friendly environment.
