La La Land Chapel reviews
38Small bar but very cozy with friendly staff even if your English:) located in a buzzing part of town
Loved loved loved this bar! Great drink range, reasonably priced, friendly staff, and their warm fireplace and gaming devices inset into the tables were an awesome addition.
Really good date spot, comfortable couches, cozy place, as well as kicking it with friends for a few listening to dope hip hop tunes
Homely feel with couches to lounge on, however the music was a little loud for comfortable conversation
Dropped my phone on the seat. Bouncer comes and finds me and hands it back. What a legend! This place is always an awesome time
Went here tonight for the first time. Pretty cosy, nice armchairs and the fire going, plus good old-school hip-hop/r’n’b tunes. I enjoyed the atmosphere and would go back again:)
Chill venue for catch ups and bevos! Great bar staff and cool drinks. DJ playing the groovy tunes.
Always a cool chill place to have a drink. Love how sometimes when I wander through they're playing Aussie hip hop. Great!
I would have given 5 stars, but after Mikey the British bartender who worked at the backend of this place left it has lost its charm. Don't expect crazy and individualally made cocktails to your preference anymore, just standard drinks with no flare. GET ANOTHER MIKEY!
Very red. Has cheap drinks at happy hour. Nothing fantasic though. Pretty much the same as all the other bars on Chapel Street.
The most comfortable chairs in all of Melbourne. Your personal space is well respected with the layout of the bar. There's a darker room out back that has some comfy seats, great for pashing woman. I'd highly recommend taking a date there. Also if you're just going after work that's fine too as the bar staff are willing to chat. There tends to also be a diverse group of ethnicities floating about if you're looking to mingle and make some foreign friends.
A really nice bar that we often head to at the end of the week if we are in the area. Good happy hour comfortable seating and decent music what more do you want?
I came here with a group of friends. There was one table available outside so I sat down as the others went inside to order drinks. I noticed a group of girls that were looking for an empty table, and so did the security guards. One of them came up to me and told me that I couldn't sit there and take up a whole table when other guests were standing (referring to the girls). I told him my friends were inside to order drinks and that they'd be out in a minute or so. By this point the second security guard had joined and they were both telling me that I had to get up and give room for the girls. I ones again explained that my friends were inside ordering drinks, but they wouldn't listen.
I have never been to a bar along Chapel St (or any other bar in the world for that matter) where one person can't sit down at a table while their friends go inside to order drinks. Unheard of!
It all ended with me and my friends getting upset and frustrated, so we left without having any drinks and now a one star review. All because these guards wanted to impress this group of girls.
A place with a fireplace, funky tunes and where you can order in your own takeout food? Fantastic. Not sure of the changes they did to the bar tho.
Friendly welcoming staff. Great music. Lovely fire place in the back room. Comfy chairs and cool vibes.
Very good selection of wines and cocktails, no table service and although a good choice of music too loud inside to hold a conversation.
Pretty cool grungy bar. Check out the back rooms and courtyard if you want something a little more quiet or private. Very similar to Mothers' Milk.
Needs air con or better fans on hot days). Good price beer, tabletop arcade games and good service are pros
