La La Land CBD

Easily one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Harsh, the bartender, is so experienced and knowledgeable. There wasn’t a single drink that we didn’t like - it really exceeded our expectations. We also appreciate the staff going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and safe when a group of randoms sat at our table. I couldn’t recommend this bar enough, we can’t wait to be back!

Rose made the best pina colada I've ever had and had the best make-up tips. 10/10, would drink again.

We had a wonderful night with many pina coladas, our bar tender Rose was the life of the venue, without her our experience would not have been then same.
If Rose is not servicing you the night will not be as fun filled as mine was

I've been there before and didn't have any issues. Based on previous reviews, it's possible that I just had the misfortune of being served by that particular barman with a mustache.
The bar was quiet (midday) and it was early (before 6pm). The barman did not even say hi back when I went up (and said hi first) and ordered my drink. He gave the attitude that I was bothering him by ordering a drink. He then managed to completely stuff up a negroni (one of the most basic cocktails). As he was about to serve it to me, he finally realised that the colour was not right. I ordered a 2nd drink later one - I specifically asked for a dry martini. Again, I got a martini with far too much vermouth. The final straw was when I asked for some water (after our group had spent over $100 in drinks). He poured some water in a carafe and as I was about to bring the carafe to our table (5 people), he proceeded to tell me that the carafe was for the whole bar! And that I should pour water in individual glasses for the group. Wow! What kind of bar only has 1 carafe of water for their entire establishment! There are plenty of bars with great service and fantastic drinks in the CBD. Avoid this one unless you are happy with a below average experience/service.

What a surprise. Just got out of the hotel wanting to get a drink and wandered straight in. Glad I did, some of the best whiskey cocktails. The bar tenders were just great at their job and knew exactly what they were doing, I got suggested a few interesting cocktails from the usual that I go for. Great to see people who love their job. Nice interiors and a smoking section at one end. Had a group that was just chilling and broke into a music sesh. Highly recommend this joint.p. S guy. You are legit af mixologist. Nice atmosphere, cocktails are a bit of a letdown. Staff were very interested in pouring themselves shots rather than serving. Overall, it was nice to stop at but wouldn't be back in a hurry.

Good location, upstairs at the end of hardware lane. Lots of couches to sit on and share a beverage with friends.

Good place to hangout. They have a variety of drinks. Calming good for a chat. They have a smoking area with tables at the back. No food though. Overall a good experience

Stumbled upon the place after 30+ hours of travel from London, Ontario to Melbourne and, wow - what a great random find: Friendly service, very comfortable, great beer, and good selection of whiskey. Glad we found it!

Friendly staff, Great cocktails, and the most excellent seating in the entirety of the CBD, Come before 5: 30 for a relaxing early arvo, or enjoy the atmosphere as it get busier into the evening.

It's been my regular for about 10 years. One of the best places to just drink and have a chat in Melbourne. Friendly staff, comfortable mood lighting, average drink prices.

Great small bar, very chill atmosphere. Not too crowded. Plenty of sofas. Very good for small groups. Bartender are really friendly. The cocktail are good but a bit pricey. You better off with the jugs.

Long-term fan of this place, especially in winter. It’s so cosy and the bartenders have always been friendly. Used to have an excellent Happy Hour (possibly the best in the city) which is no more due to the lockdowns, sadly. As another reviewer mentions, sometimes the music gets turned up a little loud (we usually go pretty early so it’s not as bad at that time). Overall, though, a great little spot in the heart of the city.
