We had the most wonderful experience with Kustom Timber. Heidi was so helpful in the initial stages of choosing our flooring and organising everything from the back end.

We were lucky enough to have Jason as our project manager. Jason was so knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire project. He assisted us with all details to ensure we got the amazing result we did.

We took possession of our new home in December. Have lived in it normally. Had a gathering beginning May with 50 or so people, everyone wearing normal shoes, behaving normally. Just standing and talking. Scratches everywhere! The timber veneer Kustom use for the Black Japan flooring we've bought seems very soft and easily scratched. When we moved in they looked great, a few months later they look like they've been walked on for 10 years. Really disappointing! A beautiful new home, let down by inferior flooring. The photos show example - not under a table or from under chair legs - of the the scratched flooring in the living area versus a spot not walked on. I understand wear and tear on dark flooring will show up more than light flooring, didn't expect this though: (

Kustom Timber have just completed a project for us in Broken Hill (western NSW). From beginning to end, Kustom have really delivered for us. The product range is excellent and Calypso looks beautiful once installed. The customer service was faultless - nothing was too difficult and we felt well looked after by Lily (thank you). In terms of install - wow! The project was organised and the product shipped with no dramas - we had excellent communication from Jason and everything went to plan. Brian our installer was nothing short of amazing. His attention to detail and obvious passion for his job was much appreciated, particularly when it came to installation of a herringbone floor in our ‘not so square’ federation home hallway. Ultimately it looks beautiful and I’m so grateful to the team and stoked Brian was willing to travel to the outback for an install (at a very reasonable price). It’s refreshing to deal with competent people who clearly love what they do.

Also dealt with Jason - supervisor who was thorough and ensured everything ran smoothly and on schedule. We are delighted with our new boards - transformed our space. Highly recommend.

What can I say other than phenomenal service from start to finish. Heidi at South Yarra assisted us with selecting our floor colouring (Tempest) to Jason who completed full site check and continuously checked in every day during install to Aykl who was our installer

We could not have picked a better company to install our flooring. The finish an detail in our house was not easy and Akyl nailed it (LITERALLY). We highly recommend for anyone who is looking into a high quality flooring company from start to finish.

We have been delighted with the quality of finish of our freshly redone spotted gum floors. The yellowing that the original yuypolyurethane brings with time has totally disappeared as has the much too high gloss. Our floor boards look so beautifully rich and natural, the true timber tones coming through superbly, with a very subtle natural seal.
We were impressed with the first meeting and job assessment and advice. The original quote arrived efficiently in Avery short time with a reasonable price for a job done so well. The two fellows who can to do the job were professional, respectful and did all they said they would do, in taking good care of everything whilst we were out of the house.
I would recommend Kustom timber most highly to anyone who needed floors being installed or renewed

I did not enjoy the experience. I chose Kustom because they were local, had a long history and primarily because they were the most expensive of the quotes. I associate cost with quality but in this instance that wasn't reflective in the service.

I think it is reassuring that there aren't many negatives reviews but I encourage you to do your due diligence. Even though I absolutely love my floorboards, I will never be recommending Kustom.

Excellent service from start to finish! The team at Kustom could not have been more helpful in assisting us with the selecting a product for our renovation project. Quality product and exceptional service - Highly recommended!

We had Kustom Timber to pull up the existing floating timber floor and replaced it with the Tempest in Herringbone. Selecting Kustom Timber was one of the best decisions that we have made throughout the renovation process.

In the first phone conversation with Kustom Timber, Erin Colliver (Sales Consultant) was able to give me precisely all the information that I required to understand their products and the installation process. Her recommendation for us to visit one of their showrooms and take some samples home was proven to be an important exercise as it helped us to make up our mind on the selections.

Prior to the installation, Jason Turnbull (Project Manager) noted all our requirements on site and ensured the installation was completed in a way we were expecting.

They understood our needs right from the beginning and (to our surprise) went above and beyond to bring the project forward to start the installation during the Christmas shutdown period which helped us significantly with the entire renovation timeline.

Hayden has assisted us with the purchase of our timber floors and has been very helpful in choosing the right product for our needs. During lock down he organised delivery of samples to our home and has kept in touch throughout the purchase. Thanks for all your help.
