Kookai Melbourne Central

Probably worst kookai branch. Was not acknowledged the whole time I was in there. I walked into the change rooms and workers would just look at me with their noses up and say nothing? I’m standing in the change room waiting patiently for someone to help with sizes and I probably had 3 or 4 girls look at me and turn their heads. Not sure what they’re paid for, ended up putting everything back and leaving.

Went in for 10 minutes for a dress and took till almost the end of my visit to get at least a hello.

Super rude staff and not being helpful at all. Don’t ever come to this branch if you are looking to have a great day lol

Melbourne Central store staff ignored me browsing for about 10mins. Also ignored me as I walked straight past the empty counter to exit the store.

So today was my first time & maybe the last time I would visit this KOOKAI´S store.
I´m brand new in Australia, I have been the opportunity to work and visit store around the world in big city like New York, London, and Europe. When I´m in a new city I try to find the country brands and see the style and the items. So that is why I took the decision to visit KOOKAI, and I got very disappoint. The staff in general were not friendly only one member of the team say hi to me at sale floor, but when I went to the fitting room, there were not fitting room available so the lady who was assisting the area. Asked me If I want to keep the items with me or she can put them apart while I waiting for an available fitting room. So, after a 2 or 3 minutes two fitting room were available, but she and her collogue were chatting in the back, So I was waiting another 5 minutes while one of them came back and finally I was able to use one FT. While I was trying the clothing no one came to me and ask If I need any help or something with the items, instead both of the ladies were talking about the guys the they been dating. So I need helped to try another size and when I asked one of the ladies, she was not quite nice, it looks like I was asking a favor to her. When I finished to try the items the lady never asked of how I feel with the items maybe If she asked I would probably ending buying something. My intention with this comment is that customer services would be more friendly and nice. I think the company need to improve in their work culture. I can understand if the services is not the best when you buy low prices clothing, but the prices range of KOOKAI is quit high. Maybe I would try another location, and perhaps the terrible services it is only in this location.

Melbourne Central store. The girls are rude, unhelpful and ageist. I was after a shirt and requested a different size to which the girl responded…it doesn’t come in that size, looked out the back and out the shirt I was asking about back in the rail. I would have taken that size but she made an assumption. The other girls were busy talking about their weekend.

Jemima is an absolute legend - went above and beyond and didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience. Emma was also super lovely.

I just wanted to say how AMAZING Jemima was in her customer service. She went above and beyond to find a pair of pants for me that I was desperate for and put them on hold for me. Thank you so much Jemima, you’re a gem

It’s not okay for a brand to be disrespectful towards people that are size 8+. Kookai, as a brand, you really need to sit and think your attitude towards customers that don’t fit in your size 0 clothes. Go and read what everyone says about this brand and you’ll find terrible comments, about managers and retail assistants. Horrible experience. NEVER again I’ll shop here.

Had excellent service by a lovely young lady Gabby. Went above and beyond to help me find a top in my size. She listened attentively and did her best to help support what I was after. Unfortunately can’t say the same for the manager. I was looking for a white tshirt in my size that wasn’t on the rack as all the ones there had a makeup stains on them. I was willing to buy the one on the floor if they could have given a few dollars discount. Gabby had to ask the manger who was rude and dismissive and denied my request. The money wasn’t the issue as I was going to purchase regardless. However when asked, told Gabby to use Sard to clean it and offered no discount at all. Poor gabby had to come back and apologise that they weren’t able to give me any discount for the soiled tshirt and then searched more and happend to find me a brand new one in the packaging. If it wasn’t for Gabby, I would rate 2 starts. Thanks Gabby. And Kookai MC should thank her too as she is what is holding up your store.

What a terrible customer service. Since i enter the store, staff never acknowledged me or even greeted me but they’ve been really nice to other customer. I’ve been trying to find right size but don’t offered me help. Ended up going to different store. Manager lady has just horrible attitude goshh!

This is my first time walking into both store at MC & Emporium, customer service was great and very helpful. The only thing I dun like was the staff dressing too over revealing showing too much, is this the way to showcase your product I dun think so.

Quality of their material is the best for my skin. Never have I ever worn clothes so soft and gentle on my skin. I own a big collection of Kookai clothes specifically for this reason. Also, staffs at Melb Central are very helpful and warm/welcoming:) and flexible with change of minds/size swap which is a big plus wherever I buy online and not happy with my purchase I can go to them to get a voucher or pick something different.

My girlfriend got body SHAMED, SHAMMEd by your staff not cool and very bad.maybe wait until the cistomer leaves before you start talkong about their weight i dont like you

I have been to this Kookai store multiple times and I have NEVER ever been greeted by the staff before. Each time I decide to give them another chance but I don't know why. The staff look at me with upturned noses. I literally walk around to find something I like and walk straight out as I never feel comfortable. The Emporium store is a look more friendlier!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in Melbourne. No greetings nor asking if I need help, just judgement glances and short unwelcoming responses. This is not my first time in the store and not the first time I’ve had such a terrible experience. Do not recommend going to this store seeing as the welcoming, Emporium store is a short walk away.

I constantly buying from Kookai but always go to the Toorak rd store. This would be my first time in this store, and would be the last time! The service were so terrible. Never again!

Had such good service here on Thursday - all the girls in the store were so friendly and super helpful with great advice! So happy with my outfit

The store girls were not engaging to the point of being unpolite. And that was not jost one-off experience. They should find some more switched on people who care about costumers, rather than about their owm expressions in a mirror.
