My Dad took his Konnekt Videophone to respite care while my Mum and I travelled overseas. They really enjoyed being able to see each other every day and talk as usual. Dad said it was more fun that just talking on the phone. It made me feel confident that Dad was being well looked after while we were away.

We didn't get to use it very long, but it was a life saver for the months we did use it. My father-in-law could not remember how to operate a telephone anymore. So they set the videophone up on automatic answer. When we called, we would automatically be connected to see him. It was as if we were sitting there with him. He couldn't understand why I wouldn't eat some of his cookies he tried to share with me. It was also a huge help when he didn't understand his caregivers. With one push of the button they could call me or one of his sons and we could talk to him and explain things. He would generally comply with his sons. What a blessing and the cost was about the same as a cell phone! Thank you Michael and Tara for helping us stay connected.

Being in IT (for a very long time now) I have worked with a lot of companies in the industry.
When it came time for a solution to keep in touch with my elderly Mother I turned to Konnekt to help out with a tried and proven solution.
Sure we could have knocked something together but honestly why reinvent the wheel?

This product is essential for my severe hearing impaired mother to stay home and be connected at 94yrs. She had a crack in the screen and within 6 hours they rebuilt her personalized device. We were able to replace it for her within 24hrs. Service from this Staff and company it beyond anything we can imagine, and the relief mum had to have a new screen was precious.

I am always recommending Konnekt to friends and relatives. It is such a wonderful product and you guys are tops for your friendly and helpful service. There was rarely a day that Mum didn't benefit from Calls made to her or Calls she made out, and being able to easily connect with her sister in Germany and her daughter in America was just brilliant. The timed roll over from a skype call to a local landline was such a bonus too. You offer a wonderful product and service and I wish Konnekt the very best for the future. Mum has come to really like see and talking to family and friends now we have been able to set the Konnekt screen up. Finding a suitable mobile stand to suit our needs and arrange its installation in a small room was at times trying. It has now become her most used method of contacting family. The support from the support desk & admin over the many changes she requested was fantastic.

A wonderful product and a wonderful company of people to deal with. Karl and everyone at Konnekt look after everything. Our mother loves her Videophone and it works so well for her. The perfect solution for the technically wary

My mother lives 3500 miles away and has recently become somewhat housebound. While she still lives at home and mostly looks after herself, gone are the days of her coming to visit us or traveling in general. Moving around is just too hard for her.

While my she has a laptop, she hates using it. You can give her a set of instructions to accomplish a task, but as soon as something unexpected happens (a strange pop-up, window swap or 100 other things that modern laptops do) it freaks her out and she feels lost and useless. A laptop isn’t always on either and for these reasons, video apps on her laptop or iPad never worked.

Enter Konnekt! These guys have built and configured a bullet-proof, discrete all in one computer that runs Skype under the hood. It incredibly simple to operate, is always on (but discrete) and never does anything unexpected.

My mum started out being rather wary of it. It was after all another computer. 3 months later she is absolutely loving it. It’s all about who it helps you connect with easily. A lot of the reluctance disappeared when she was able to connect with her brother who lives 7000 miles away.

I’m writing this after an hour and a half call with her - a really good natter in a way that would have never happened on the phone. It's also been fun to have the kids lean over my shoulder and talk to her. It's much less of a "single person" device at both ends. I often use my phone or iPad and have the speaker on. When my mum sees someone in the background she says hello and that pulls them into the conversation the way you just don't get with a phone. The conversations are much more engaging, and therefore last longer.

I have also used it to show her around places that she will never be able to see - the building work that is going on in our apartment, my son’s hockey game. I just switch to the other camera on the phone, walk around and narrate.

I am really excited to have set this up when I did given the challenges of international air travel right now. I was heading to the UK in April, but now won’t be, and it doesn’t feel as much of a disappointment to my mum as it would have done before the Konnekt.

Having it set up in a good place is essential. The Konnekt team emphasizes that. It rings for long enough and loudly enough that she can get to it to answer it, and when she gets there she can plop herself down in a comfy armchair and settle in for a good chat. She also has a lamp next to the table it is on, so the lighting is good too. And any configuration changes you might need (new numbers, louder volume etc.) the Konnekt team can make remotely. It doesn’t have to wait until my next trip.

I must congratulate the Konnekt team on what a great device they have built. It sits there quietly minding it’s own business until she needs it or someone calls. It really is proving to be bullet-proof. None of us have had to touch it since we changed router at the house to get a higher speed connection (important)!

This product has transformed the support and mental health of my 95-year father who recently had a hip replacement and now in permanent hospital care. It is wonderful for me as I live in Australia and my father in New Zealand. It has been particularly useful during COVID lockdowns. Now I, my sisters and mother stay in touch with Dad every day. My father is computer and mobile phone illiterate and yet he calls us every day. My mother, 94 who is still lives independently, shares a remote breakfast with my him every day. How good is that! One of the best decisions we ever made and a big thank you to the team at Konnekt who worked wonders to expedite delivery and seamlessly set up the unit. My only regret is that I did not find the product sooner.

My dad lives in South Africa and I live in New Zealand. I bought and installed a Konnekt Video Phone in his room at his old age home. It has been our saving grace during the Covid-19 lockdown. Great people providing great videophone for elder people to connect with their families. The video phone has customable buttons for elder people, moreover, it has great call quality both in video and audio. It is believed to be the most user-friendly device for elder people.

I am organising a Konnekt phone for my uncle and the customer service is great! John is very helpful in sorting out what we need. We look forward to getting one of these phones in our family!

Konnekt is so easy for the elderly to see and use - just press a big button and connect. My parents (now in their 80s) absolutely love its simplicity, its volume and the clarity of the video - its hands free as well. Using the video, i am easily able to tell weather my mum or dad is stressed - and they can easily see how i am as well. Busy work schedules make it harder to keep check on your parents - with konnekt its almost as good as being there in person. Highly recommended.
