Purchased a rotel rcd 1572 cdplayer/transport over the phone. Was told it would be shipped directly from rotel warehouse locally in Victoria. Was assured it would be packed well protected and sent via aus post. Well.
The unit arrived in the original retail box which looked like it went thru a meat grinder with impact damage all over. This suggests it was dropped or thrown around like a rag doll. Unit has something loose rattling in the case which I can only assume will short sooner than later. I was hesitant to order online and get it posted and my fears have been confirmed. Last time I'm going to order from klapp. Will be requesting a new unit as this is unacceptable. Let's see if they even respond to my concerns.

Bought a bluetooth speaker for my partner from here, and when it arrived, it was faulty (would not turn on). I rang the business for advice and was blown off - the staff member said someone would call "in a day or two" and then no one called. When I called back myself after a number of days, the staff member who answered was rude and dismissive, and I was told I would have to ship the item back at my own expense, and then MAYBE they would give me a replacement or refund. In the end, the problem was a faulty power pack (which we figured out with no help from the business), and we ended up purchasing a new one at our own expense as it was cheaper than posting it back. If a business is going to have an online platform, I think the purchaser should expect better than this. Do not purchase online from this business.

These guys are great. I bought a set of speakers, speaker stands, speaker cable etc and had to get some of it ordered in which was going to be a bit of a struggle since I live in Geelong.

Jason was a legend and offered to drop them off to me when they arrive since he lived in Geelong as well. Not only did he drive to my home once but actually came by twice as the items came in at different times. Great service and would definitely recommend.

Visited the store to check out the B&W range and was given some great insight into the product by Jason. He took the time to understand our needs and help us work out some options. Highly recommend.

Placed $1000 deposit on some $10,000 second hand speakers. Unfortunately lost my job and couldn't continue with the layby. Notified them after 3 months. Asked to use some of the $1000 deposit towards something cheaper that I could afford (had $1600 speakers in mind). They said no, thanks for letting us know, you've lost your $1000, have a nice day, call us if you ever need assistance with any future audio purchases". It was devastating enough losing my job, then not even having a fair and agreed percentage of my $1000 deposit to put towards some cheaper speakers was hurtful. Taking the lot is just unfair, excessive and unjustified, especially when I wanted to utilise a fair amount of my deposit back towards a more affordable speaker purchase and not just wanting a partial refund!

Excellent experience- thank you. Very knowledgeable and VERY helpful explaining all the technical specifications clearly and answered all of our questions. Great service, everything on time, installation was done perfectly. And friendly, too!

I couldn’t have had a better experience, amazing service, outstanding product knowledge and the awesome speakers recommend by Mauro martini were even on sale. After we purchased Martini gave me and my dad a tour of the finest equipment at klapp just for the fun of it. When we got home Martini was also happy to help us with the installation. Simply outstanding throughout. We will never shop anywhere else.

Superb product range in store ready to take home. Listened to what I was thinking, showed me around, no hard sell but made me feel valued which made for a easy and quick decision to purchase on the spot. Thank you Sean. I may live hours away but I will be back.

Outstanding service from Martini who took the time to listen to what I was looking for. I was given a few options in my price bracket; pros and cons were explained beautifully, with no hard sell. He set up everything impeccably and after getting it home, the sound didn't just deliver what I'd hoped for, it far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended if you're looking for premium quality.

Condescending and rude staff who assume you lack any audio knowledge and talk down to you. Ended up going to JB HIFI where I was actually listened to surrounding playback issues on a sound system (originally purchased from Klapp) - issue rectified in 30 minutes. Won’t be returning to Klapp again.

Terrible attitude from the staff, trying to get some help from them is ridiculous. Make sure to call the before buying anything as they don't keep much stock in store and it took 7 weeks to get my speakers.

When i called them back to get some advise, they took it as a complaint rather than assisting me.

I would never EVER recommend buying from this store.

Good service and good products. Bought the Klipsch cinema 600 and so far so good. The soundbar comes with an awesome subwoofer too. I did my homework and this package was the best bang for buck soundbar in my opinion.

Came back after 10 years after a great experience to upgrade some gear, had another great experience with Tony getting some B&W speakers to finish my atmos setup.

Really knowledgeable team, great gear, great advice matching what would work in my situation to me, fun to talk to and looked after me on price.

Can’t really ask for more. 1st place I would go for AV

The staff at this shop are generally quite rude and unpleasant to deal with. I’ve been in on 3 occasions and each time have left with a bad taste in my mouth. The older, balding gentlemen is especially painful to interact with.

Customer experience still matters guys!

I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.

5 stars for Martini and my experience buying over the phone from Sydney but a generous 3 for the person I spoke to on 23/3/21. Actually make it 2. I called to enquire about whether using a balanced cable could improve my experience with my Klipsch hp3 headphones and heritage amp. Received a disinterested reply telling me that it probably wont make a difference to an inexperienced ear and when I asked about availability and prices for cables should I choose to experiment I was met with nothing more than we have nothing available. My apologies for such a small request I thought. Ok, no worries I said and before I could ask another question the salesperson was ready to move on and hanging up. Not being one to take poor customer service lightly, I interrupted his goodbye asked if I might be permitted to ask another question or was that too much trouble for him. At this point, I was a lost customer but couldn't let him go without a little push. Mr salesperson sir, I am considering these book shelf speakers which you stock vs these and would like your opinion to which I received a brief reply stating that we don't stock speaker 2 and that speaker 1 which we do have is bettered by speaker 3. Great, I said so you think speaker 3 is much better than 2 and for just a little more money? Yes was the extent of the reply. Uum, ok I said and hung up. In hindsight, I wish I had thanked Mr salesperson for his disinterest in my questions and that I'm disappointed that I will shop elsewhere as I thought I had found a competitively priced and supportive shop to help me with my HI FI journey. Whoops, just realised that I'm not Hi Fi enough. Oh well.
