A famous Chinese restaurant, always crowded. The food came out very quick with reasonable prices. If u are craving for some Chinese food, make sure to visit this place

Came for some dessert after receiving recommendations. Perhaps, I’m fortunate coming from Vancouver and having some of the best desserts, but this place was lacking. The shaved ice wasn’t bad, but the herbal jelly was disappointing

Great authentic Taiwanese food, recently lowered their sodium levels which is perfect (healthier!). Only bad part is how busy they are so staff can sometimes come off as a bit rude. Keep this in mind and the occassional loud music and you'll enjoy yourself here.

The food is very, very good. The restaurant filled up quickly just after we arrived for an early lunch. We had xiao loong bao, cha jiang noodles, fried oyster omelette and beef brisket soup noodles. Will try the rice dishes the next time.

The best food ever! We go on a weekly trip to Box Hill from Point Cook. I even have a weekly dish!

It's taste good, though the price is a bit high, it is fulfilled with its style and expearience it gives, thou do wish prices is slightly lower. But overall it's good

We ordered three dishes there and only one dish met our expectations. I have to say their oyster omelette was nice and flavourful as the ingredients were fresh.
However, their chicken noodle soup was quite plain and they put too much black pepper in the soup. The chicken was over cooked and fairly salty. We tried their Xiao Long Bao for the first time and it was just-so-so. The pork filling wasn’t fresh and I can tell they didn’t use good quality meat. They can do better than this.

Big cantina atmosphere. Friendly and efficient service. Wide range of well cooked, tasty asian foods.

Food was delicious! Came out quickly and was piping hot! Servers were friendly and prompt. Will definitely be back. Bathroom hygiene needs a lot of improvement though!

None of the food was anything to rave about, but all was decent. Huge space but quite tight in certain spaces

The sour spicy soup alone boosts the rating up for me
If you can't handle too much sour, you should order some rice dish to go with it

The best of asian cuisine under 1 roof. Immersive and great service. Everything tastes amazing.

Really good food here. Staff is responsive and dishes were served quickly.

Recommendations: Taiwanese Fried Chicken, Fried Oysters (yuuumm!) & Fried Vermicelli

Lots of food to choose from, will always have something that you are craving, fast service and good tasting, just wished they stayed open later in the evening

After reading lots of reviews we decided to try this place, a little tricky to find, a bit more trickier to understand what to order so we went with what the next table had, wow! Pretty damn good, fantastic flavours, definitely go back.

The standard is not too bad, but it is still different from the origin. The price is slightly higher but acceptable. There are many ways to pay and some of them include discounts.
Fried squid can be recommended.

One of my go-to restaurants in Box Hill when I crave for something good and quick.

My all time favourite that does not get much spotlight is their Mapo Tofu. I’m usually never a fan of mapo tofu because I never really came across a good one until Kitchen Republik.

Their mapo tofu is so flavourful. Its sweet, spicy and salty at the right levels. Its always made with the same consistency in terms of quality which is what I love most.

I am also a fan of their Chinese donut, drinks and breakfast menus. Also a fan of their very quick and efficient team in the restaurant.

Would definitely recommend Kitchen Republik!

Ordered the Taiwanese style wok tossed pork and veggie noodles. Was very satisfied. Flavour spot on and such a big serving

Yum! Just delicious! Whether it be a simple noodles dish or more elaborate dumplings, it's a great stopover on a day out in central Box Hill.

Soup dumplings are pretty nice, also freshly made, very authentic! Love my oyster omelette too!
