Can't fault the food but service is below average. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary but they kept wishing us happy birthday. 2 mocktails took 20 minutes to arrive. Requested a photo from the waiter who gave me an strange look.

If you wanna celebrate a very special day, go somewhere else. If you just want food, you probably won't be disappointed.

One of the best dining experiences that I have had. I had the omakase, which is a 19 course meal with the chef making each course for you, in front of you. Each course was prepared, made and explained before being told how to enjoy the meal.

Great service from the staff, attending to you with drink service and cleaning up after each meal. The chef prepared and made all the meals with finesse and care.

We were tabled together with other people who also booked the omakase, this made for small conversations here and there between each meal. Gave the experience a very enjoyable vibe.

Most importantly (for me anyway), the lighting in the venue was brightly lit, made it much easier to see everything. Not to the food but also everything else. I find that most places lack good lighting, but I Kisume did the it brilliantly.

Overall it was a great experience and definitely worth trying out. If you enjoy your fine dining experience, this is definitely the place to try. Will definitely go back and eat it again.

Fun side note: try waving your hands back and forth when you are inside the room, Kisume does something cool with the lighting in there that makes for an interesting topic.

A food menu that makes your palette tingle just reading it with a host of beautifully prepared dishes and a drinks menu of 52 pages to choose from.
The service was remarkable from start to finish from all the staff on both levels of the restaurant. Such a wonderful feeling just to be there among the staff.
The food was a decorative masterpiece - one after another with flavors intermingling and complementing one another.
A two thumbs up for making our last night in Melbourne such a fun and memorable experience.
Tack så mycket Kisumé!

4 stars for service and staff friendliness. U fortunately 3.5 stars for food and presentation. There is room to improve. Wine menu is on the higher end of pricing compare to Nobu and Ishoya.

Hit and miss for me.
The crispy wagyu truffles and tuna tataki set the bar high for us, they were both fantastic and hit all the right notes. An extremely long wait after that for other items from the sushi station, then both hot mains were served so close to together the sauce on the short rib had formed a skin by the time we came to eat it, and it wasn't that long of a wait.

The lobster tempura was delicious, as were all the sushi items. I think we would have enjoyed just eating at the sushi bar to be honest.

The service was a miss. We had one waiter at the start who was fairly attentive but it was pretty much down hill from there. Our water glasses ran empty, flagging someone down to pay the bill was a sport in itself.

Desserts didn't really hit the mark either.
