Kangan Institute

Completed the Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre-vocational) back in May 2023 and have not received my certificate. Have been following up for 5 months and have not gotten any updates other than the fact that they are "working on it". Please don't sign up with Broadmeadows. Posting this so no one else falls into this trap.

I would NOT recommend this, did cert in childcare and friend did cert in animal studies and the teachers are not good at all…. Haven’t helped us, hypothetical and play favourites, my friend has DROPPED out cause YOUR teachers haven’t help
If I could tell everyone I know and give you guy’s negative 5 I would cause you guys are lazy, don’t care about your students
DONT RECOMMEND, go somewhere eles that’s more beneficial and ACTUALLY HELPS YOU

The teachers make it out like missing one or two classes or even one excursion is the end of the world.i will still do the coursework and pass everything but then i miss one excursion and it suddenly feels like they have a grudge against me.they communicate unprofessionally and rudely overall.even if you have covid and need to stay home or you have a family emergency, they seem to not care and speak down on you.it’s makes me stressed that they are going to fail me because of it.

Very disappointed that head office can’t reply to 5 emails I’ve sent them. First they email me saying that I’m eligible for a refund since I’ve already done one unit with kangan already, then they don’t refund me? Doesn’t make sense.

Teachers can’t manage their classes properly since they are lacking staff. Management needs to fix their problems with recruiting new staff, or close down their course rather than hand-balling a 2 person job to one person.

If you are reading this, I highly recommend you try a different campus rather than kangan Broadmeadows.

Worst tafe. Completed my course with no certificate. Got told to contact Maxine and she never replies. Absolutely a joke

Don’t go here, teachers do not care for you and will not assist you whatsoever, I received my work back from a teacher and he only said wrong, and when I said resent it he did help me at all. Don’t go here

During my time here it was it was poor communication only 3 staff members tried to help you but couldn't because the text book for my class was unavailable for my whole time thier one of the other teacher rused her classes in 1 to 2 hours it was supposed to go for 5 hours she would help she wouldn't responed to emails I regret spending my money here

Kangan in Broadmeadows, any course or education from speaking English any language and courses Staff are helpful with a smile

Their course content needs improvement. Car-park needs to pay, People are swearing loudly in the library and in the canteen. One of the worst TAFEs I ever visited.

Very little discipline, it's a waste of time for me. From class 3 you learn nothing more.there are 2 ladies who are supposed to help the students Mrs. B. N.and Mrs. O. L.everyone is in the building but nobody is interested in you. If you ask them something they say they don't have time.so if you have another alternative then don't go to Kangan Broadmeadows.

What ever you do don't go to Kangan broadmedows worst place I just finished and completed my Electrician course last month and after it being a 10 week course they had made it longer and added an extra 3 weeks and after completing the 13 week course I still haven't received my certificate for completing the course everyone else in my class has already received the certificate and me and one if my friends still haven't received it and we have both completed the whole course and after contacting them they still haven't resolved the issue after many times of calling this is really stupid after us paying $800 for 13 weeks of work and not getting our certificate of completion if your thinking of coming to kangan please re think it and go to another tafe save yourself time and money

People why work are very wll kind. They selflessly do their best to pass on knowledge to students.

I found Kangan to be a great education institution, able to deliver a informative course during a trying time.

Course was supposed to start yesterday. Wasn’t updated that it had been pushed back by several weeks. I drove all the way there for nothing. I’d be absolutely fuming had I paid for parking on campus.

Getting any information from their disorganised and unmotivated administration department is like pulling teeth; if you found out after the fact the wrong tooth had been pulled. Chased answers for weeks only to receive misinformation and had to become disgruntled before I was put on the phone to someone who actually knew what they were talking about: a trainer. The trainers know admin's job better than they do. On top of that they took payment for a course they did not have permission to teach online during lockdown so it was subsequently postponed. If they didn't know whether or not they were going to be able to go ahead they shouldn't have been accepting enrolments. The trainers here are good but the admin department couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

I would strongly advise anybody with any type of disability not to attend Kangan Institute Broadmeadows because the staff will discriminate against you and not help you complete your course. The courses are badly designed and executed and the person who was The placement coordinator could not find myself a placement I needed to complete my course, and I was told to just complete the course and not worry about doing the placement even though this meant that I would not receive the certificate at the end of the course. When I complained about this I was told that I would not be allowed to complete my course. This is discrimination against a person with a disability and I would strongly recommend to anybody with a disability not to attend Kangan Institute ecause she will not get the student support that you need to complete a course,

Paid for full for course starting March, got confirmation i had enrolled and been accepted but didn't start when due to and had to follow up numerous times to get updates. Put work, life and commitments on hold the whole time thinking it would start. Been a month since it was due to commence and nothing! Randomly log on to see course online and it's been taken off/wiped from website but still no email, update or call to say it's cancelled! Called and emailed more than once to get confirmation it's cancelled and for a refund but haven't been contacted back. Absolutely disgraceful for professional Institute.

Not happy with TAFE at all, ive studied baking retail and some of the trainers are extremely unprofessional.very dissapoited.

My class wasn't there, It was still online. But I still liked going to the Kangan Institute on a clear blue sky, no clouds, and bright sunshine.
