Kafe Koala reviews
42If you are travelling along the great Ocean road you have to stop and support this little gem. Great coffee and food. Check out the koalas and wild life while your there.
Nice break on the Great Ocean drive to get coffee or delicacies. Its must if you want to see the Koalas, king parrots in natural habitats as lot of Eucalyptus trees around the river area.
After we had lunch here, we went for a walk and spotted 6 Koalas. Just look up the gum trees. Highly recommended!
Food was nice but little expensive. We were there during the Easter break, once the good was order and about to pay they said it is a 15% (public holiday).
I waited then my borek was burnt, they didn't even have a particularly large amount of customers at the time either.
Great place! All the food is made fresh on sight and super tasty. Top quality souvenirs and gifts. The staff are brilliant and care deeply about serving both the community and tourists. Love the old school surfy village vibe. A must for anyone to check out. 5/5
The Cafe itself is alright, we had coffee only which we believe can be much better but the view uphill is worth a billion, see photos.
Great stop for coffee and you can always see some koalas and beautiful birds a bit further up the road from there
All hot drinks in styrofoam cups, even though sitting down; not my favourite. Toastie was average and scrambled eggs looked the same color as the bacon. A clean pan would have been better. Great spot if passing through, food wise a bit hit and miss.
Not interesting because of restrictions in bird feeding and no proper guidelines for visitors to know the location of Koala. It is appearing desolate.
The place was very much amiable to visitors 2 years back. Somehow it appeared that the place is for private visitors only.
Such beautiful site seeing places needs better approach road with safety conditions.
Natural habitat should be conserved carefully and made available to more visitors and have fun freely.
Anyway we went back with a broken heart.
Had a beautiful veggie quiche, it was DELICIOUS! One of the best ones I ever had, really nice coffee as well. Great customer service as well.
Great little place. Very friendly staff. Good coffee and almond croissant. Nice home made jams and chutneys.
The kind of local place that deserves our support after the government has tried to destroy these kinds of great local businesses.
Nice customer service very kind people, decent coffee and some light food available. Good for a quick stop. Got some rhubarb sauce.
Really cool to see these birds and they land on your shoulder.
A must stop as you venture on the great ocean road.
AWESOME stop to pick up a slice of pizza or a pastry on your journey down the Great Ocean Road. There are bound to be lots of tourists here but it’s a really neat stop to see wild koalas up in the trees and pretty birds will come down and feed from your hand (or maybe even land on your head!). You don’t have to walk far, they’re right outside the cafe!
For a monopoly position, and remote location, this is quite a good cafe with some quality food offerings as well as the usual junk. Sit in or out. After, walk up the road to watch koalas. Has toilets - didn't venture in. There's a nice clean caravan park nearby.
The place like anywhere in Australia is expensive. Very few options for vegetarians or vegans. But a cute cafe and sandwich shop. Stopped by enroute on the Great ocean road. The portions are small and not filling like you get in the USA.
One of the stops to have lunch when going on a tour to Loch Ard Gorge and 12 Apostles. The foods are alright. They have veggie choices in the menu. The place is nice and wildlife friendly.
A popular mid way stop. Main attraction is koalas near by. Food and coffee is good, price is fair for the location.
