Kafe Koala

Essentials out, running behind profits. Owners attitude like boss of the world. Gave 1 because there is no option for 0 for Service, food and attitude.

Only reason I would suggest going is the wild life nearby (they have beautiful birds and even the occasional koala in the trees).

Outside of this sadly the cafes food we found below average, with poor service. Not very clean either.

Staff were super helpful and ready to adapt the menu according to our preferences. There are many spots to have a quiet lunch. Locals around will try to get your food and it's part of the magical environment

Little Kafe and general store on the side of the Great Ocean Road, you can't miss it.
We had the sausage roll and tasted.

Ok to drop by but no guarantee that you can see koala. We drove up for 20mins but got no luck. May be they are just too difficult to see. Depends on what you want, to see koala, just a tour or go to a zoo and pay for special visit will warrant a much closer look.

We stopped in at the Koala cafe while in the Kennets river area looking for Koalas on the grey river road.

We got a flat white and a caramel slice. The coffee was pretty decent and the caramel slice was huge. I was happy with my experience in kafe koala. We had our food to takeaway and then went for a walk looking for the koalas which we soon found.

There is plenty of parking at the kafe and there are public toilets located outside which were quite clean.

This can get busy around lunchtime, as it is on the great Ocean Rd and next to a caravan park so stop for a while have some lunch and go and spot a koala or two

Koala-tea! Really nice cafe with a great selection of snacks, pies, cakes, soups and wraps among other things, a gift shop and friendly service. Glad to support a local business whilst passing through

Great fish & chips here. The staff comprises of a lovely lady chef and 2 part timers (students - i guess) who are readily to point you in the right direction towards the koalas!

Very good food and friendly staff, we loved the place. What’s more, there are colorful parrots flying around you as you eat and there is also a koala bear on a tree next to the café.

Travelled The Great Ocean Rd all my life but never stopped at Kennett River. Visited today and had lunch at the Cafe. Surprised. Good food options, very relaxing.

Such a nice sweet place. Great coffee and souvenirs, kind people working here.
The best part is, they have a great food menu and options of rice, roti breads and even curries. Very good for a substantial lunch.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent coffee and lovely staff. I also purchased the chocolate fudge cake which was reasonably priced and delicious. Plus we saw three koalas! Highly recommend.

After a drive through the great ocean road with all the curves and the hair pin bends, you can stop here to just relax for some time. Earlier they used to allow people to feed the birds but now for some reason they have stopped it.

An unexpected treat on our drive. Great food and good service. Good selection of vegetarian options too. Thanks Kafe Koala, we’ll be stopping again on our way back home.

They initially look like nice people with amazing food. Food and coffee but unfortunately I am disappointed to say all negative comments you read about them is correct. We got there 10: 50 standing in front of the bar. The staff mocked around and took my order at 10: 58 and by the time he finished taking the order, he said the kitchen is closed because it’s 11: 02.
I have seen unprofessional but such stupidity is rare.

Fantastic staff. Very friendly. Very flexible and accomodative. Would recommend highly. Had a fantastic time with family. Food is top notch. Would defenitely visit next time.

Great location, terrible service.we stopped there on our way to 12 apostles, thoguht to give local business some trafic since it's been a terrible time for hospitality.don't think i'm ever coming back - not much choices, had gozleme that tasted very bland and the price said $14 but they "had to charge me surcharge today", so i paid $16.50 - what? What surcharge?
a friend wanted to have eggs "no, we don't have all day breakfast". Even though they also didn't have many lunch items.really sorry it was such a chore for you to be there

Had an amazing delicious egg and bacon roll with my wife in the morning before our motorcycle ride back home

General store and cafe for the camp site and surrounding area. Coffee was decent but service was pretty average. I didnt try the food as the attitude of the staff put me off but possibly they were just having an off day.
