58 Must try their Mango Rice Wine.
Place is a little bit difficult to find if you are not from around here.
Defo coming back agian.
Just amazing, have got no complaints with the food and the strawberry rice wine cocktail was phenomenal! Definitely coming back.
Whilst hard to find it is a hidden gem of Melbourne. The staff are quick and service is fantastic. The food was amazing and full of flavor. We got multiple share dishes and each one of the flavors complents the next. The only down side is a cash only sign found at the bottem of the stair case with no atm in the building. If they add a atm to restaurant it will bring the rating to five stars. Hopefull that will be the case next time i vist
Luckily going with friend otherwisewe unable to find the entrance The food is good especially the kimchi soup! Not too sour but the kimchi taste is there! I like the seafood pancakes as well!
The service is extremely terrible.
Never seen any other restaurant who give their customers attitudes.
Please note that I am here to eat, NOT to bear with your attitude. If you don’t want to take customers just close the restaurant. No need to ignore my request hundred times and give me contemptuous look.
And don’t accept card payment. You can only pay cash or through their app.
For what reason? Tax evasion???
Nice food. We didn’t have reservation. But they got us a table for one and half hours. Good enough. Xoxo
Underground and mysterious. You'd walk past the place if you didn't look closely. At the same time you'd also walk past crazy yummy food.
Hidden away underground restaurant. Great night out to relax, chill out and chit chat. Nice variety of food and assortment of exotic drinks. Cash only so bring enough as you can spend alot in a night.
Authentic korean food at an affordable price point. The staff were extremely prompt and the service was unfaultable. The stand out of the night was the Makegeoli, which was refreshing and exotic.
4 stars only because it was a tad hot, but it will not stop me from coming back again.
Annyeong!
Overall the food was good. Service was alright. Hands down, peach rice wine was the STAR OF THE SHOW! It was so gooood! Try it!
This is hands down one of the best casual korean restaurants around. The seating is limited so I highly recommend booking in advance. It is also cash only so please be aware of that. I would highly recommend the flavoured rice wine slushies which are absolutely delicious and great for sharing. The food here is also delicious and staff are attentive and friendly. A great place for friends but also for dates.
Although it was really a hard time trying to locate this restaurant, but the experience was really great! Good ambience with kpop music, very nice pancakes! Their Mango Soju was great as well!
Would recommend this place if you would like to have a cozy meal:)
(Come in groups of 4 if you would want to eat more)
Food was good and decent priced, ordered the bulgogi, LA beef ribs, grilled squid and kimchi soup, did not disappoint
Awesome place to hangout for weekend fun. Multiple options in the menu. Seafood pancake is my favorite.
Joomak is a Korean restaurant located in Swanston Street, Melbourne. Joomak is situated near RMIT University, approximately 2 minutes walk from Melbourne Central and State Library of Victoria. Joomak's delicacies include kimchi pancake, tteokbokki, kimchi soup and rice wine. We ordered peach flavour rice wine and it tasted superb. Rice wine is a must in Joomak. You will never regret it! The price is reasonable and dining experience was good.
This places never disappoints with its flavored rice wine. Do call for a reservation if you are intending to come in in big groups or during peak period as it usually will be crowded.
Great cozy atmosphere, great food and soju drinks. Perfect for hangouts. Hard to get seats after 12 am.
Tried the seafood pancake and the pan grilled pork, the pork was amazing! And not the forget the peach makgeolli, i really like the combination of sweet peach juice with the taste of alcohol
I have to say it is not as good as I thought. Plates are dirty which is disgusting, and the over-fried chicken was terrible, it is dry and hard. That waitress just put every dishes at the edge of our table, we have to move every dishes to the middle of the table by ourselves. Overall, I am so disappointed.
I was there saturday night with a friend. We were sitting down and the waiter took our order. 5-7 minutes later he came back just to tell us they can't make our order the table is reserved.
He didn't tell us that before and he didn't even say sorry for that and has sent us out of the restaurant. Extremely rude and disappointing.
