Great local cafe for coffee, eggs on toast and nice lunches. Plenty of room to sit outside. Nice takeaway for coffee and food.

Always a great way to start your morning at Johnny Dante! Food and Coffee are great — definitely value for money! Not to mention their awesome staff who are always so friendly and accomodating. You’re always assured that your coffee is made from the heart!

Really disappointing our experience here today. We arrived and got seated. In the meantime three other new tables came in that were seated, given menus, and there orders taken whilst we still hadn't even been given a menu. We had to get up and get our own menus. Then we had to go to the front to ask someone to take our order. Our food was decent but Unfortunately we won't return nor would be recommend as we were actually basically ignored. We eat out a lot and it is rare that we receive treatment like this at a resturant

The coffee here is great, and they have bonsoy. Some of the muffins weren't as good, and I didn't feel as good afterwards.

I only had the steak sandwich with chips but by God that was a yummy steak sandwich.wasn't expecting that, no grizzle or chewy bits, not too much sauce falling out, bread was perfect and flavor quite full.service was quick and waiter was so nice.

Have had breakfast here twice. Both times were great, consistent coffee, the pancakes were small (3), got all the trimmings, towards the end got a little too sweet for me.

The women gave me my menu and then never came to serve me, I waited 30 minutes and none of the young women there came to serve me. It wasn’t busy, it was extremely quiet and I was like the only customer there. They obviously couldn’t be bothered serving me and wanted me to leave, so I did.

The chilli scrambled eggs were amazing. The amount of chilli, the texture of the eggs, and the salmon were fabulous. And the brioche bun was so buttery! And the best part was that I didn't even need to season it because the taste was so well balanced. The picture doesn't do it justice.

A very average cafe from options to service to food. We came here by accident as the one we were going to was fully booked. Asked for scrambled eggs well done and they came soggy. Told the waitress and came back a second later with the same eggs… the service has no spring in their step and don’t really care for customer satisfaction and the dirty plates sat in-front of us until we went and payed with no people around and the options just aren’t that great!

Had a wonderful brunch date with my partner here. The staff was friendly and they had lots of good food options. Coffee was also wonderful.

Ordered porridge via ubereats. This $13 porridge came in a box the diameter of a regular mug and was only half full! No more than 4 spoons, no even enough feed a toddler.and there was only some berry jam on the top, not even a cheap slice of banana.

Fantastic coffee. Quick, efficient service and great if you need to grab a quick take away before boarding the train.

Have been to Johnny Dante's a few times now with my partner usually for breakfast on a Sunday. The Big Breakfast is so reasonably priced and it's always amazing. The tomato relish is to die for. The coffee is also really good and the fresh fruit juices are yummy especially after a night out.

Great place for a morning coffee or a quick lunch. Takeaway options are all reasonably priced and very tasty, and the dine-in menu has classics as well as a few signature dishes. Service is always quick and friendly

The staff just makes this place feel like home.
I don't think I've seen a place that has this many regulars.

Perfect lunch to celebrate the end of lockdown. Reminded us why Melbourne loves cafes! Great food, lovely service. Iced latte was a winner too.

Good food, but coffee here is poor. Better coffee elsewhere. Pity, as I enjoy the food and the table service and outdoor seating.

I visit this cafe every now and then with a dear friend who lives close by and the food is always delicious and wholesome and the owner and staff are delightful.
