No air conditioning…It’s 33 degrees out there…the windows are even closed. Zero air flow.
Also the poorest service across Victoria.
The food is okay but I bet you can’t eat properly in such lousy environment.
Definitely not recommended to no one unless you enjoy having meals in deserts.

The service is very good and the food is delicious, but it is modified for Australian tastes and is too sweet for me.

Have been here 3 times now and the food quality is consistently great. My standout dish is the fish cakes: very nice texture, full of flavour and a hint of lime leaves. Fried rice is rich with a good char, all the seafood (fish, prawns, mussels) were cooked nicely. Salad was tasty but be wary much spicier than the other dishes. Red duck curry was not heavy and not too sweet, and again the duck was juicy and soft. A little bit tricky at times to get the staff's attention since the restaurant is packed but they're very nice and helpful. Atmosphere is also great - high ceilings, nice decor, great for either a group dinner or 1-1s.

Amazing Thai - one of the best in Melbourne! Hawker style space with heaps of seating and quite busy. Service was a little slow because of how busy they were (on a Tuesday? !) but worth the wait - the food was amazing! Had the satay - so good - the chilli basil chicken stirfry (quite spicy) and a mussaman curry which was incredible. Highly recommend. A bit loud / noisy but to be expected given the size of the space and how busy it was.

Not as good as it used to be: (but still decent and super busy here.

We ordered the papaya salad and it was quite hard and a bit sad. The green curry was delicious though and the fried fish with fish sauce was good, though slightly over cooked. The soft shell crab with curry sauce was also okay.

Excellent Thai food, a cut above most. Very friendly and efficient staff, the food is really exceptional here and more authentic than found in many Thai restaurants. Parking is easy and far enough away from the Vietnamese restaurant strip to get parking even when it's busy.

As always, finger licious food!
Lovely service.
May I be bold enough to say that Thai food at Jinda has more flavour than Thai food in Thailand (the places i have visited).

Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately captivated by the charming and cozy ambiance. The tasteful decor, adorned with traditional Thai elements, created a soothing atmosphere that made me feel at ease. The friendly staff welcomed me with genuine smiles and promptly seated me, setting the tone for what was to be an exceptional dining experience.

The menu at Jinda Thai is a delightful array of Thai delicacies, and after much deliberation, I decided to opt for their renowned Beef Noodles. When the dish arrived, I was immediately struck by the aromatic broth that wafted through the air, enticing my taste buds. The bowl was generously filled with tender slices of beef, perfectly cooked glass noodles, and an assortment of fresh herbs and spices.in y opinion, this is the best Thai restaurant in the area - this is what I feel as a tourist, and if you like noodles and are willing to try Thai cuisine like me, do not hesitate to check out this restaurant!

Best Thai food in Melbourne.

Be warned, do not order the sweet potato doughnuts. You get 4 tiny 10 cent pieces of deep fried balls. They don’t taste like anything and they’re $11.

I've been meaning to visit this place for such a long time and so I was excited when I finally got to try this place out! It was quite spacious but it got really busy right away.

We grabbed
- Gai Hor Bai Toey
- Soft Shell Crab Som Tum
- Hor Mok
- Deep fried Barramundi with Tamarind Sauce
- Soft Shell Crab Salad
- Green Curry
- Lard

From entrees to main, everything tasted amazing. Personally loved Deep fried fish with Tamarind Sauce, Soft Shell Crab Salad, and Lard. I am not too familiar with Thai cuisine but they were all flavourful and extremely delicious. I've never tried Larb before but glad I did. Loved the spices and zingy kicks.

The vegie red curry sauce was delicious, however there was hardly anything in it. Just a few measly vegetables and tofu. I left hungry.

The food is great, worth the money. But on my visit with my family, one of the staff was impolite to us, but overall, it's good.

Interesting place buzzing with guests and staff. Nice, tasty meals, and exciting menu. I will come back. Next door is a proper Thai store.

One of best Thai restaurants in Melbourne, consistently meeting my expectations.
Unfortunately, always too full and not able to book on short notice.

Amazing food, good vibe for after work or Friday night dinner with your friends and family. Thai milk tea all day (just my 2 cents). FYI might be a little hard to park close probably best to park across the road and $35 minimum card; so bring cash.

Service seems to have deteriorated since our previous visits. This was evident when we ordered a few bowls of rice, but were brought only 2 bowls, 1 of which was slightly larger than the other.

A third was later brought out mid way through our meals, which should have been a warning sign, however about 15-20mins after that, as we were about to eat it, a waitress came and took it back (NOTE: by this time, the rice had been sitting there and was no longer hot, although we had not yet touched it).

She then claimed that our 2 bowls at the start were the 3 servings, and the larger of the 2 was a 'double serving'. How they figured this, I have no idea, as it was not even 1.5x the amount of the single serve (1.25x at most, definitely not double).

More to the point was, what were they going to do with the rice now? Serve it to an unsuspecting customer? Throw it back in with the 'new' rice? What if we had coughed or sneezed near it, as despite it being untouched, it was still close to all our other dishes.

Not only was this type of service disgraceful, over a bowl of rice no less, it would be unhygienic should they re-use it (and I can't imagine what else they'd do with it if they were that determined to reclaim it!)

Unfortunately for them, there are a number of other great Thai restaurants around these days, and it's unlikely we'll be back anytime soon. Pity, as up until that point, it was one of our 'safe picks' when eating out.
