This place hasn’t changed since my 1st visit 40 years ago.and I mean nothing has changed… same great wine list, same really great food, really good and friendly service and it was such a great lunch, am going back again and again

$35 Parma (named differently to hide it’s true identity) was average. Fatty, overpriced steak with a stale wad of potato hash was indeed medium rare, but a cheap cut nevertheless. Waitress was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Wine was also overpriced by $15 dollars a bottle is some instances (this is after a 100% markup).

Superb location, wonderful staff, excellent service. Good collection of food and drinks. Food arrived quickly, large portion and delicious. Heaps of car park nearby the restaurant, it is free to park there, just be mindful of the timings. Usually after 6.30pm it is free to park. We had our dinner with friends on the Freedom day after lockdown. Spent close to 4 hrs. Highly recommend it.

Enjoyed the restaurant. We ordered medium scotch fillet but we received it well done. It was fine, nonetheless. Warm and friendly service. Good wine pairing too. Portion size is good for 1, price is above average.

A rustic setting filled with incredible memorabilia. The food is exquisite and the wine selection is world class. The staff are friendly and make the whole experience a delight.

The most gorgeous service here today by such a charming barman who cheered me up no end, after a truly cheerless day in the city, with his lovely charm and hospitality. We sat outside on lovely tables with flowers, great wine and a feeling of being somewhere staff were happy and attentive. Can't wait to go back and have another glass of wine and try their food.

I’ve just moved into the neighbourhood and this place is now going to be favourite haunt. Amazing wine, comfy settings, friendly staff - what more can you ask for.

Just great value drinking and food. Nothing crazy artistic but all very delicious. The wine list includes some aged stuff which always a plus.

Good food and wine in a Melbourne institution. Not to be dismissed and younger people needed to continue this tradition where many early Melbourne historical occasions were hatched.

Enjoyed lunch here today - social distancing is being taken seriously, but they're still offering a good menu and the food was really tasty. Perhaps not as much variety on the wine list as I'd expect, but that could be a function of the restrictions right now. I appreciated sitting next to a heater on a cold day too. Worth a visit!

Dodgy bald guy at the bar charged different prices for the same drinks as he realised we were drunk.

Should Try - Could never go wrong with the steak main and octopus starter. Worth rocking up early to have a drink in its rooftop garden in the internal courtyard.

Awesome food and service. The beer garden is a wonderful place to be on a summer's day.

I know sometimes this happens.but they should have a better pest control

Also there is no proper social distancing between the tables which made it uncomfortable experience.
