JIC Language School (Japanese & Chinese)

It is great to learn Japanese language with sensei Anna. She makes the class interactive and fun, so that we can enjoy the programme better and less stress.:)

My son's been learning Japanese at JIC since November. He started with the summer school intensive program and enjoyed it so much that he plans to continue for the whole course (now attending the regular program). JIC is an altogether marvellous experience for him: great interaction, possibility to study with different teachers and absorb the language from different speakers, small groups of interested students, nice materials to study from and a great introduction to Japanese culture. As a parent, I also appreciate the amazing and incredibly helpful admin team of the school, making all arrangements very easy and quick. Thank you, JIC team!

I have found the initial Beginner A course in Japanese at JIC to be very enjoyable and effective. The teaching method is clear and easy to follow and the teacher is always approachable and fun. The class size was small so students had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and seek clarification. I am very much looking forward to taking part in the next series of classes.

I just started Chinese Beginner A and I find the class very helpful. The staff are very nice and catering to my needs whenever I am unable to make it to a lesson. My Chinese teacher and classmates are very friendly and I love it that they always encourage me to try me best!

Miki San has been a wonderful teacher. In my first term of learning Japanese I can safely say that I have learned a whole lot more than I thought I could. The classes are a great balance between listening, writing and speaking. The sensei also only speaks mostly in Japanese which makes the experience so much better. Arigato, Miki.

Taking part in Beginner A Chinese lessons has been a blast. The classes are well-structured, and the teachers are friendly, making learning Mandarin feel like a breeze. The small class sizes mean you get to know everyone, and the fun group activities keep things lively. Plus, you get to dive into Chinese culture, which is pretty cool. After just one semester, I can't wait for the next one!

My daughter commenced classes at JIC and, she enjoys the interactive teaching approach that encourages students to speak and practice their speaking skills.

The teachers are also very welcoming and friendly.

I've been studying here now for over a year and I love it. They use immersion (aka only/ mostly speaking Japanese) which in my opinion can be one of the best ways to learn a language - though some people may find that scary first as a beginner. I've had classes with three different teachers and they've all been kind, patient and encouraging so can recommend.

Well organised classes and the teachers are all very friendly and willing to help. I'm moving to Japan to study abroad soon and the classes have helped me feel a lot more confident about it. Definitely looking forward to my next term here.

I have just begun learning Chinese at JIC, so far it has been a great experience! Small class sizes allow for everyone to participate and receive one on one support from the teachers. I can’t wait to continue my learning journey with JIC!

I have started the beginner Japanese lesson and I enjoyed it very much. Our teacher is very professional and patient with everyone in the class. She made sure we understand before proceeding. I am continuing with the lessons in the next term and definitely will continue going forward.

I am studying Japanese in JIC. I really enjoy the Japanese courses. The class is full of fun and we can do freedom talking in the class. The course is well structured, which won't make you feel too hard. Our Japanese teacher has many years teaching experience. She is so kind and patient to explain things to us. She always asks us questions and let us speak as much as possible. I did learn a lot from her. I'd really appreciate it very much. 本当にありがとうございます. And strongly recommended to those who want to study Japanese.

I have finished Japanese Beginner B course and will definitely continue on Beginner C course. The course is interesting and the pace is just right. Minami is a patient and nice. JIC is a good place to start learning Japanese.

I just did my first Chinese class (beginner A) in class and it was great.
The class was done with 5 students, so ideal to learn and not be too shy.
The teacher is nice and even if sometimes she search her words in English, it's great beacuse it's a real exchange with the students and English is not my first language neither, so I feel more confortable.
The location is good too, in CBD, easy to access with public transport.
The only thingh that can be improved, is to have a videoprojector for the teacher to show the leason in addition of the whiteboards to write.

JIC offers great online Chinese classes which are so convenient, since you can learn in the comfort of your own home and can save money travelling to and from the school. My teacher Chen is a highly supportive and knowledgeable teacher too.

Just finished my Japanese beginner A 6-week course with Manami sensei, who is a patient and friendly teacher, who always encourages us and provides us with a great learning environment to try speaking in Japanese. I enjoyed every lesson, and will definitely continue to learn Japanese in JIC in the second term.
