Jells Park reviews
65The new playground at Jells Park is phenomenal. It’s massive. Definitely go if you have kids and are in the area.
Great place for walks, strolls, picnicking and nature. Peaceful and greenery in abundance. Good for dogs and other pets.
Visited Jells Park on the 22nd May for lunch with friends at Madeline's Cafe, excellent service from friendly staff and good food. After we had finished went to the toilet facilities next-door but was met by a disgusting smell of Urine, toilet paper all over the wet floor was not impressed. You need to do a major UPGRADE of your TOILETS.
It a very large park suitable for all kind of people, be it a family gathering, cycling, running or have a short picnic. The place is very children friendly. Lots of Barbecue station and a lovely cafe. Right place for both active people and for ones who love to laze around.
Great park one of the biggest I have been to. It even has a Lake. Lots of dogs and babies at this park.
Good place to have a picnic. Sadly toilet facilities are really bad and should have more public barbecues.
Came at the end of the long weekend and the place was messy as park users had left rubbish all over the park. Please, take your litter with you and be considerate of other park users!
Otherwise it is a family friendly place with plenty of space and shaded areas for everyone.
Amazing reserve with full and abundant amenities (Accessible/Female/Male toilets, sheltered cooktops, drinking fountains, Cafe, many carparks and rubbish bins) and 15-20 walking trail navigating along a serene lake with view of bird habitats.
A great place for hiking, picnic and specifically if you have kids, since there are two playgrounds one close to Ferntree Rd entrance an the other is close to the Waverley Rd entrance. There is a nice dog friendly cafe in the middle where you can have a meal or coffee while having a view of the lake. And just in between the lake and the cafe there is a vast dog off leash area.
The park itself has a significant beauty that I haven't seen like it anywhere else.
There are electric BBQ provide in different locations plus a few shelters in case in you're running a function of a large group of people.
There used to be multiple solid fuel BBQ with wood provide to have a charcoal BBQ, but they have been removed. If you're taking your own BBQ there better to contact Park Victoria prior to make any fire.
One of the most beautiful parks I've been to. I went for a run with a friend and we got lost in some amazing paths and intricately woven trails.
A large park with plenty of BBQs and picnic tables. There are three large playgrounds and good facilities. The large lake is great with walks around the lovely place. Great place for people and kids especially, to ride their bikes safely.
Beautiful park and lake, lovely facilities. Toilets, playgrounds, picnic areas. A lake with ducks and waterfowl to observe. Wide open spaces for walking, cycling, ballsports, kite-flying.
A very special park.
Big open spaces, great views lots of walking tracks superb lake with ducks and birds, good parking if it's not too crowded. Bbq and picnic areas with a good playground and a nice cafe Madelines what's not to like. Bring your camera and strollers if you have young children and sunscreen and wear a hat on a hot day.
Awesome as always. Beautiful sunny day, did the full walk around the lake and the kids were on their bikes. One of the best spots in Melbourne, if not the very best.
Absolutely beautiful park to walk around and explore. Came here for wedding photos on a rainy day, and still loved the experience. Managed to get in some photos near the lake, and just love the environment.
Nice place but a dog perk would make this place great you have so much room and free grass area yet no where for dogs
Lots of active areas all through this whole parkland, whether it is just catching some fresh air, some Netball, Softball, golf or just a friendly family Barbeque.
In general meaning not bad at all.
There is a huge place to walk or have bike riding.
To make it more interesting, there should be more seating places and BBQ areas. The rubbish bins were missing everywhere, as part of council's cuts even though people pay rates for such service.
The funny thing was that I went to catch fish and as I was so unlucky, I palyed with wild ducks instead.
Is there any sorts of fish, or not?
Beautiful reserve, lovely place to spend the day watching the native birdlife while enjoying a picnic. Great walking/jogging tracks.
