This retail store has always been great. Fair prices no doubt. The employees have done a great job during this covid time. Whenever I ordered click and collect they were lightning fast.

Wide selection friendly helpful staff just needs to ask people if they need help a bit I go there pretty often because the wide range and the cheaper game prices then EB games but they are missing cheep services that EB has but that's not the stores fault it's right next to a tone of stores as well so it's a very nice area to go into will be going back more than once in the future

Walked in today looking for a tid bit of info/advice on a laptop, walked out with an enriched perspective on what I was looking for and with a new series X console to top it off.
The fantastically bearded man who helped me, whose name regrettably escapes me, was great.
No BS, no hard sell, no attempt to make me buy something in the store.
He just gave his perspective and experience to me straight and had some good banter along the way.
And he had a great beard. What's not to like? Amidst a roaming conversation about laptop hardware for high end work even managed a quick chat about tolerating the itches from a beard with the right oils.
If any staff or manager sees this review, then his Staff ID is 56527. Top bloke and deserves commission or however it works.
I regretted that tipping him didn't occur to me until after I'd left.

Always super helpful staff, they don't try to rip you off or persuade you with the brand they like and try to made you buy it. They have a wide range and it will be even greater when they open the new section soon

JB Hifi PlayStation 5 Preorder

JB were taking $50 deposits for PS5 consoles with an unknown arrival date so I called the Waurn Ponds store in Geelong and they said they weren’t doing this pre-order, none had been allocated to them. So I called the Geelong city store and they said they had some left, I got there 10 minutes later and there were none. The worker told me that Waurn Ponds is now taking deposits and to go there, I got to Waurn Ponds and they have decided to take the full amount instead of $50. I called the city store back to clarify and they said that individual stores can honour the deposit at their own discretion. JB hi-fi customer service is a joke.

Great selection of tech good and audio and visual equipment mainly for the home. A bit cramped in a small place but plenty of variety in Australian terms.

Went to look at the electric scooters they advised. Was told by employee that they had them but we couldn't have a look unless we purchased first. When we looked at him in amazement, he explained it was company policy not to display them due to people injuring themselves. Surely they could prevent this by locking them up until an assistant could provide guidance.

I was seeking 3 seperate items.

They did not have two of them in stock.

So I went to Harvey Norman

False advertising. Tried to get their 'buy 2 movies get 1 free' only to be told because 1 movie has a extra disc in it. I cant include it in the offer. That's not my problem. Never going back

Typical JB Hifi experience. Massive product range at great prices though you often have to wait a while for staff assistance. Also, my wife wanted to try on an expensive smart watch before purchasing (which we think is a fair request) and they were unwilling to do this so we ended buying from a different business that did allow it.

Pushy, know-it-all salesperson who did not listen to what we wanted. Staff more focused on chatting with each other than serving customers. Normally avoid going there but nowhere else in Geelong had what we wanted in stock. Certainly won't be hurrying back.

The staff member I dealt with was exeptio nly helpful and new her product range well. Her attitude made my experience a happy one.

These guys are just great. Had to return a watch I'd bought for my grandson and they couldn't have been more helpful. I think they young guy that served me was named Stan. Full marks to him. Ill shop there again because of staff like him.

A big shout out to Mark, Fox and John at JB HiFi for tracking down my Mothers new Television before Christmas as there is a shortage of televisions in Australia at the moment. Mark worked so hard to track everything down for us and he offers genuine friendly and honest service. Fox dealt with the most difficult customer on earth and handled them very well. We felt sorry for him and we wanted to step in to help him as this customer was a real nightmare. Well done to Fox for not getting upset or frustrated during the process.

Finally a big thank you to John for getting our television from Bendigo to make sure that Mum had it installed for Christmas Day! We were thrilled with the service and nothing was too much trouble for the whole team!
