Terrible customer service. I don’t know much about electronics so the first time I went in I asked for help. They sold me the wrong thing as when I took it home it didn’t work. I went back and exchanged it for something else. I ended up getting the right adaptor but they sold me an additional piece of equipment that wasn’t required. On my third trip to the store I tried to bring back this piece of equipment unused in its original packaging but was not allowed a refund as I was a couple of days outside the of their 7 day refund policy.
The staff don’t give good advice and won’t fix their mistakes. If you don’t know exactly what you need shop elsewhere.

Came in to pick up an order - was told the order would be ready within an hour, I came after an hour and a half and was told to wait another 15 minutes. Came back 15 minutes later and was told that one of my items was not in stock, but was offered a pack of lesser quantity than what I ordered (33 instead of 80pcs) for the same price (?) or drive to Coburg.
Terrible service and was offered no recompense for the extra hour that this took out of my Sunday.

The customer service in this store, on the rare occasion that I actually visit it, is consistently poor. The staff either ignore you or speak to you from a distance without approaching. Other times I have visited and not even been asked for help. Plenty of other alternative stores so I won’t be visiting again. Was also told they didn’t have product (at all) when their website stated that they do. Bye bye Jaycar!

Very rude woman served me. Such a surprise. Made a complaint online to Jaycar and they just ignored my feedback. Seems they don't care.

The worst customer service ever. It's always astounding how morons can't work out that it's actually easier for everyone just to be nice and even vaguely pleasant. If a person has a good experience they'll come back but a bad experience they'll never come back and will tell 10 people who will never even bother to come at all

Always good prices. Recently opened here on Franklin St. Likely due to Train Tunnel work in A'Beckett Street.

I am not handy or the electronics type, however I found the need to find a hard to find T4 screw driver. I was surprised at the amount of different items for purchase and quickly got lost trying to find what I was looking for. After asking a young guy for assistance, he showed me exactly where they are stocked and searched for the cheapest option. Overall a great experience for a rare visits

I came in here to buy a specific type of battery for my Panasonic Cordless home phone.

I came in to look and I found what I needed. It seems well-stocked. I can't say if the prices are good or not, because those batteries are rather specialised and not sold everywhere.

The staff were okay, nothing to write home about. The store is kept neat and it seems well-stocked.

Overall, it was a good experience.

Staff have a pretty average attitude. Lady who served me seemed completely disinterested in helping. I got what I wanted but some effort with the customer service wouldn't hurt.

A brilliant case study of a Business that is being run into the Ground
First step towards rescue, it to remove the male staff member (whose actions bordered on harassment) Store visit approx 2pm Sat 7 Jul. No retail business on earth needs this type of individual.

Dont bother asking for advice, most of the time I got given incorrect information. Only use them if you really urgently need something, everything they have is overpriced.

Great new store located in Franklin Street after moving from A'Beckett Street. It's still only a short walk from Melbourne central and left off Elizabeth Street, on the north side. This store is bright and fresh with lots of electronic components, accessories and gadgets - you can spend hours browsing.

I visited to obtain a globe for my old door, which they had in stock and was less than $2. The representative, Jason, that helped me was extremely patient and helpful.

Bought a wrong product. Unused but refused to refund. A south Asian female staff who has the worst attitude. Never say thank you and dump the change on the counter so you need to pick every single coin up. Will never return!

ITS LIKE THE BUNNINGS OF ELECTRONICS!
I love this store.it has so many electronic goods, computer equipment, cables, connectors.in fact pretty much anything you could need to repair, connect or upgrade your electronic equipment.
Staff are friendly and helpful

Really rude staff, raced across the cbd from work to get there before they closed. Got there with time to spare, looked around for what I needed with no luck, lined up at the counter to ask the cashier once it was my turn I asked for the product only to be told it was now 5: 30 and that they wouldn’t help me and I should return at 8: 30 in the morning.

It would of taken a minute for him to get the product and for me to buy it. Terrible customer service, they haven’t even closed the register yet.

Excellent service but not good value for money.

Jaycar used to be the place to get components, parts, IC chips and accessories at reasonable prices. Sadly, they are no longer competitive in most areas and are actually significantly more expensive in the consumer electronics products when compared to mainstream retail electrical stores.

Probably the go to place for electronics these days. More for the enthusiast and the geek. Can generally get most things here.

Called ahead to have some items put aside, arrived 2 hours later to find they hadn't been put aside, and the clerk I spoke with, Steve, said he hadn't received any calls.

Then I got the items i needed only to be told that they accept cash only, dispite having an eftpos machine, then was told that I have 2 minutes to get to an ATM and back.

Terrible customer service and will never shop here again.

Insanely good service, every time I go the staff are extremely knowledgeable and the service is better than a fancy restaurant

I spent around $40 there by swiping my card in the first place. Then it occurred to me that I should buy one more phone cable and I grabbed one. But when I went back to the counter, they refused to accept my card, saying I didn't reach the minimum amount. Ha ha.
