Last night of our little holiday to torquay and what a way to end it! Most amazing Indian food! Flavours galore! Taste bids dancing! Staff and general atmosphere of the place is great! Nice and chilled, comfy and cannot reccommend enough! !

We just shared a lovely first evening in Torquay, the vegan options were fantastic, definitely get the Dahl and eggplant curry.

To top off the night the gentlemen that looked after our table Sadid (sorry if I’ve misspelt) was an absolute darling. You could tell he cares about everyone who walks through the door, what a legend!

Only been once to their new bar/restaurant location and its already quickly become one of my favourite spots. Friendly staff and quality food, not too expensive either. Sooo many vegetarian / vegan options

One of my best favourite indians place. Samosas were incredibly. I tried Chickpeas Masala, Paneer Masala also very taste with coconut rice. We enjoyed the food with my friends and also the staff were very friendly. I want to come back again.

Absolutely disgusting experience today spent 130 dollars on food waited over an hour and then when it arrived it was stone cold and inedible when we rang obviously upset, the staff were rude refused to rectify anything and said basically it wasn’t there problem. I have been in the hospitality industry for 20 years and never experienced any thing like this. Do your self a favour and go literally anywhere but here! We just lost 130 bucks and had toast for dinner

We were very disappointed with our recent experience at Jason. Not sure if there is new management but our go to Indian in Torquay is no longer. We have been eating there for years however the last couple of experiences have been very disappointing. Food runny and tasteless, where it was once vibrant it is now bland very bland.

Tonight’s dinner was exceptional, scrum didly umptious. Koohitz to the new bartender angus Davies. Makes a mean negroni. Highly recommend.

They try hard, but staff forgot to take our order so after 15 minutes after being ready to order I had to chase someone down to order, I had my own wine to drink but was told they no longer except byo. No wonder because my beutifull wine cost me $20.00 but their cheapest cost me $58.00 which was terrible in comparison. Food was ok but again I felt this restuarant was trying to empty my wallet.
Unfortuantly it was the only place in town open on the night.

This was the best Indian food I've ever had in my life. I'm going to be dreaming about it for months! The service was amazing too, it was just all around a fantastic experience.

Disappointed we used to enjoy Jashin as a local.

When told 25 mins for takeaway thought that was reasonable after waiting 50mins and still told that unsure when it will be ready and then told it will take up 48 hrs for a refund.

All you can be in business is honest,
I’d be happy to wait just let us know how long it will take then we can decide to wait or not.

Don’t take the choice by taking the money and leave us hanging.

There are other Indian restaurants in Torquay that I will now take my business.

So disappointed

Placed my takeaway order at 6.20pm with estimated time to be ready at 6.50pm.went to the restaurant at 6.50pm, was told its 20min delay.so i came back at 7.10pm, was told gonna be another 5-10min wait.
At 8pm, was again told it will be ready soon.eventually i complained to the manager and they said they got a new chef who was still learning how to make naan bread. So I had to cancel my order as they couldn’t figure out when my food will be ready and my kids were starving.there were many other customers complained about long delay on food and drinks.overall the service quality had dropped by 99% since they moved to a bigger spot.wont be a returning customer anymore.

Best Indian food outside North India we have eaten. On our holiday to Oz - Great Ocean Road - one night in Torquay. Chef Guru served up a great meal. The Bar - Whiskey Library had Malts from across the world - he he collection- we could only try 5 options this trip. Front of the staff Joe and I think Indri- not sure we’re brilliant.

It pains me to write this review, because I’ve relied on and been a Jashn customer for over 10 years (and have had their food at least once a fortnight on average). For the most part Jashn has been putting out solid and reliable Indian food but over the last few weeks in particular, the cuisine has been less appetising… and quality has been slipping down hill, fast. Last night I may have received the most disappointing butter chicken known to man. Watery, bland and warm - bordering on a soup, with absolutely no decipherable taste. The naan was a dried out, thin, burnt wafer - it more closely resembled lavosh and not the fluffy delicious bread it’s supposed to be. As a big fan of the lamb saag, I’ve also noticed this dish hasn’t escaped the chopping block of compromise and has unfortunately now become a cacophony of watery brown sauce and over cooked pucks of lamb - no spinach green brightness, no undertones of cardamom… just dried out lamb in another nondescript brown sauce. The Bollywood chicken dish - just a chicken tikka stew is not remotely memorable nor remotely deserving of the Bollywood association/name. I hope whatever is happening in the kitchen (new chefs/cooks, cheaper ingredients?) is fixed really soon. Jashn was once bulletproof Indian cuisine, the type you couldn’t get outside of a capital city but now it’s just a sadly another regional, strip shop take away curry house.
