Jang Gun reviews
71Awesome! The food was incredibly delicious and of good quality. We discovered it thanks to a Korean friend who recommended it to us and good luck, it’s so good!
There was a long queue, but to be honest, the taste was nothing amazing. It is estimated that the price is cheap and the quantity is large, so everyone flocks to it.
Jang Gun CBD Korean Restaurant, located on the Korean food street in Melbourne's city center, is an established Korean restaurant with a wide variety of authentic Korean dishes. It sounds like you had a delightful dining experience, particularly enjoying their seafood pancake and army stew, which are perfect choices for cooler weather. Plus, the affordability of their menu items adds to the appeal.
It's worth noting that they don't accept weekend reservations, so it can be a bit of a hassle to walk in and queue. To minimize your wait time, visiting during off-peak hours could be a smart choice.
Authentic korean food! I highly recommend their korean fried chicken and raw marinated crab
My fav Korean restaurant in Melbourne, every time my friends came to melb i will recommend this restaurant. All the dished are delicious, the rice wine is special, must try it!
3.25 - Decently priced korean restaurant with generous serving. Tried the:
Fried chicken - not bad but not the greatest, couldn't taste the flavour sauces
Corn cheese & Tofu stew - taste as it is, can't really go wrong with these
Seafood pancake - good amount of ingredients and batter was seasoned well. Wished it was crispier but would still recommend
Foods are taste good.not bad.but seaffod Tteokbbokki was so salty. OMG. Even now I still taste that salty.
This hidden gem has such a great menu. I love Korean food, but find that a lot of the restaurants in Melbourne just repeat the same items. I ordered the yukgaejang which was incredibly tasty. However, my dish was served almost half an hour after my partner’s which obviously wasn’t ideal.
Food was exeptional. Very good Korean food, good vibes in general within the resturant, they also offer soju bomb combos which was a plus.
It’s a hidden Gem! Top notch. Best Jukgaejang I’ve ever tasted. Must try - spicy chicken bulgogi.
Delicious authentic Korean food, polite staff who will go above and beyond in terms of service. Highly recommend! So glad I found this precious gem and can’t wait to go back for more!
Went for dinner and since we were a big group with a baby, there was trouble getting a table. One of the waitresses was very patient with us and arranged tables for us. All other waitresses were friendly as well.
The seafood pancake, spicy pork and cheese egg roll were good. The portions were very generous.
Highly recommended for bigger of groups of 4 and up to get more variety of dishes due to large portions. Overall very happy with the taste and value for money.
My friend sunglass forget to take. When she call back they said they did find one sunglasses and throw it away since nobody call us. AND ONLY KEEP FOR ONE WEEK. Thats really funny, how come? A sunglasses occupy a big space!? So she lost a CHANNEL SUNGLASSES just like that.
Great ambience, nice food and good services! Would definitely recommend to everyone who loves Korean cuisine
Delicious food. Will try the fried chicken next time. Recommended for everyone!
Second Time: Came back for friedchicken. The sweet chili flav is very nice, If you want to order fried chicken, it is recommended to eat with flavor, because the original flavor is not really delicious.
Good food. They serve beef tartare here and it’s quite amazing and a unique experience, I highly recommend it although I’m sure many people will be squeamish of it.
This is the place to go if you’re ever craving authentic Korean food late at night! I’ve been here a couple of times now.
I love the kimchi pancake from here! I think it’s one of the best ones I’ve tried in Melbourne. Also for the yukgaejang, the amount of beef inside was so much, it was shared between 2 people. And even then, we couldn’t finish the meat! Other dishes are pretty good as well, very hearty & I always leave feeling super full and satisfied.
I ordered egg rolls and veggie rice cake and wait outside around 30mins then I got egg rolls and pork kimchi soup?
Delicious! Korean Fried Chicken, Wow! The service was very quick and friendly.
Korean foods are delicious! I’ll be back! Recommended! Dan Hoang from Danhthemanadventure
