IZUMI Japanese Massage & Day Spa

Had a really lovely experience and will be back! I like the warm room temperature - noticed someone said it was too hot for them but I get cold easily - keep it warm? ‍️

I just had a wonderful 2.5 hours pamper package.
We started with a seaweed foot soak, scrub and massage. Followed by an hour long, very purposeful, well done deep tissue, relaxation massage.
Ended with an hour facial, which includes cleanse, tone, scrub, oil facial massage, mask, eye cream, serum and moisture.
The facial massage included the decolletage area and pressure points on the face which was soooo amazing.
In between the scrub and oil massage, they cleansed and toned.
Anyways, I went out feeling relaxed and rejuvenated at the same time. Would definitely return.

Surprised to find a day spa that had a spot last minute! You have to buzz in when you arrive and once you do, you are greeted by friendly staff and a warm ambient environment. The foot spa was relaxing and my feet felt really soft afterwards. The massage relieved all the tension in my body and the therapist will always check if the pressure is okay with you. The facial left my skin feeling radiant and plump. Special thanks to the Filipino therapist who was very warm and bubbly! (sorry, I dont remember anyones names). Overall a great experience!

Tranquil, warm and welcoming hidden gem in Melbourne CBD. We booked in for a Pamper me Package and were taken on a relaxing journey by their friendly and very skilled therapists. Yumi and Nora were both amazing. Will definitely return.

Very pleasant experience! We had a couples massage and it was lovely. The place is quiet and clean.

The staff are friendly and the massage pressure pressure is very good. My back ache instantly faded away after the one hour remedial massage by Mikki.
The vibe is calming and soothing. Would definitely recommend this!

My friend and I bought the couples pamper package - 30 min foot spa, 1hr massage and 1 hour facial. The facilities were beautiful, however the first thing I noticed upon entering the building was the warmth from their heating system. I found the rooms and reception area to be far too warm and my body temperature started to rise. The foot spa chairs weren’t very comfortable and reminded me of a reclining office chair, I was expecting a nail salon style chair with foot spa attached. The foot spa ended up being a small bamboo bucket; I have size 10 feet and they only just fit in the bucket which made it a little awkward to relax. But once the foot soak was completed and I removed my feet, the following foot scrub and massage was very relaxing.

The full body massage therapist was also very good, applied excellent pressure in all the right areas. However given the rooms were already quite warm, the heated blanket on the massage table was a little too much for me.

The facial was excellent, the facial massage was divine (but not suitable for acne prone skin due to the oil used) and you could tell the lady knew exactly what she was doing!

Overall it was a pleasant experience and my only criticism would be to lower the building heating, and invest in some salon foot spa chairs for a more comfortable experience. I would definitely return for another body massage and facial!

Lovely experience. Had a couples massage tonight and the service was impeccable. The lotions and creams they use are great quality and their massage techniques are clearly qualified which is always preferred! The staff are really nice and make sure pressure is okay. I rarely doze off during massages and facials but lost count haha thank you for a lovely experience!

After my endless search for a day spa, I found this one, which was straightforward and easy to book online. So it made my buying decision quicker to it's competitors. I went for the pamper package with a footscrub, full body massage and facial. You have a nice tea with your footscrub and throughout the massage I basically slept, which means I wasn't in pain and destressed. The staff is polite and always letting you know what is coming up next.
This is a Japanese Massage though, so they do climb on you and put pressure on certain parts of the body. To me, it was great.

When you get there, you have to buzz them first to get in the building so they can let you in. Take off your shoes and wear their slippers.

This is definitely my go to place if I ever need pampering in Melbourne in future.

I was on a trip from Sydney and can categorically say this is one of the best massages and treatments I’ve had. I couldn’t get the name of the lady but she was very professional and only wish they have something similar in Sydney

Had the most beautiful experience at Izumi with my daughter, both the ladies who work there are very professional, knowledgeable and kind. A must if you visit Melbourne City.

A wonderful massage, I opted for a deep tissue which was similar in ways to a thai massage, very firm but relaxing. I am quite sure I drifted to sleep a few times during the whole experience. The space was also lovely, an oasis in the busy Melbourne CBD and the girls were all very professional and lovely, great service!

Unfortunately I have to say it was not a good experience. The two pluses are purely for my masseur who was very good. But the ambience and environment is terrible. There is nothing Japanese or Zen about this place. Extremely noisy and very difficult to relax. All cubicles revolve around the main reception and where the staff do all the cleaning up. Constant washing up, crashing and banging of crockery, overhearing all conversations as each customer comes and goes. Street noise was clearly heard. Rooms sparse with old towels and cheap furnishings, no attention to aesthetics.
Given this is advertised on its website as a peaceful, calm wholistic place with upmarket prices it is very poor value. I spent $155 on my stay there and was not a happy customer
