IZUMI Japanese Massage & Day Spa

Firstly, they charged a 50% deposit when booking online. Then they called me one day before my appointment asking whether I could change my appointment time from 3pm to 10am, which was very annoying.

Their reception area is very small and cramped, and there were a lot of people waiting there when I got there.

The massage was the WORST I've ever had. I wouldn't even call it a massage. The masseuse was just pinching, pulling and hitting me.

I definitely won't be returning.

Must try.

The staff members had excellent communication and helped to make sure I got the best massage.

My favourite part about the massage is that you're not forced to leave as soon as your massage is done.

You're used a tea or some water and can actually relax before leaving. It's such a small detail but really adds to the experience.

I have visited Izumi three times now, I've had two deep tissue massages and one facial on another occasion. I have loved all of my treatments. The girls are friendly, welcoming and I always leave feeling relaxed. Will be returning, thank you.

Went in yesterday to have the 2.5hr couples package and WOW. It blew my expectations out of the water. It’s the only place I will go from now on.

Been here once, and with my partner. I usually have masseuses, and this time was my first time with a masseur. I don’t know what his name is, but he was professional, and with good technique. It might be the best massage I’ve been received in my life!
Highly recommend if you have chance to get one from him. I couldn’t tell what type of the massage he used maybe combination but I felt fresh afterwards.

The environment was nice, only the tram was loud, but it was not their fault! So never mind!

Highly recommend! We loved our couples massage and facial/treatment. Also the tea they serve is lovely.

My partner and I received a couples massage yesterday 4/4/22 of which was described as being your choice of deep tissue or shiatsu, I chose shiatsu as this is the treatment I generally receive back in Sydney.
Long story short there was absolutely 0 technique involved for the whole hour of treatment. The whole treatment involved pressing of hands walking up and down my back. I read a few reviews beforehand which didn’t look good, “the staff are nice, it’s very relaxing”, I don’t know about you but I like to actually receive qualified treatment that actually relieves tension etc otherwise what am I paying $85 for? A bed that I can lay face down on and rest?
I would absolutely never go again or never recommend this place if you actually wanted to receive some sort of qualified and productive treatment, my body feels the exact same today, stiff. Such a waste of money.

Me and my boyfriend love to go to this place to get a massage. Everyone is lovely and friendly. We always get massage from Miki and Tomomi and they are great. They completely fixed my boyfriends posture faster and cheaper then physio. They are amazing

It used to be a good place with very technical staff, went back after a while and had a really bad experience, was just lying down, with the massuese having no idea what to do apart from just applying oil, I just wanted to get out, sorry but you should get trained people, and just not fool people with the high prices you charge for sheer waste of time, will not visit again.

The robe they gave me to put on prior to my massage had someone else's used face mask in the pocket. Makes me question if they're washed between users! Quite off-putting.
Massage was OK.

It is a massage experience worth trying. The masseur pressed on the right place more accurately and used the right strength. She knows exactly what she is doing! But the lady received was very serious and made me feel a little unfriendly.:)

I had the 2.5hr package with foot scrub, full body massage and reflexology. I felt amazing afterwards. Gen was so great and gave careful attention to detail to make sure I wasn’t too sore. She put in a lot of care into her massage even after a busy day. Thank you Gen!

Been here twice, once for a 1 hour facial with my friend and second time for 30 minute shiatsu massage. Wouldn’t recommend the facial if you’re after a proper facial treatment, it was more a face/upper body massage + a 10 minute mask

The shiatsu massage was ok, I wasn’t sure if 30 minutes would be long enough but I think it was. However I came in with no muscle aches or pain, wanting a relaxing massage, and came out with shoulder pain haha.

Multiple problems with this place:
Massage was terrible- no effort, at times felt like she wasn't even trying.
Room was unbearably hot and made the whole experience extremely unpleasant.
The full body massage was in a room where music was being blasted to try and cover the sound of the tram outside, however, I could just hear both and it was not relaxing at all.
Such a waste of money.

Had a wonderful massage and pamper spa experience. It was very relaxing, especially after being in lockdown for ages.

Purchased through RedBalloon for Relaxation Oil Massage - 60 Minutes $85. Finally here again me try to Catch up for long overdue massage since the lockdown which I was so excited and looking forward for but turned out to be a BIG disappointment and DISAPPOINTED. Only got ‍️ 45minutes massage as staff runs behind the schedule and need to be with next clients in time which I find a little frustrated and annoyed, didn’t get full hour what I paid & furthermore massage was not up to the standard & room was so bright with sun ️ shines through the rooms and warm, being to many massage place but nothing like this! Unfortunately, this will be my 1st and last time here.
