Ipoh Parade Malaysian Restaurant reviews
54The dishes in particular the yam basket was good, portions were generous and price was also reasonable. Would certainly recommend this place
We often come here for nice casual Malaysian dinner or order takeaway. Food is yum, generously portioned, priced well and the service is always friendly.
Nice food but a table of four had dishes come out several apart. (These were not meals for the table)
A little delay waiting for some rice to cook, you can't make Nasi Lemak with our the coconut rice.as any Malaysian cook will tell you (translation of Nasi lemak is coconut rice).
But the food was amazing, completely amazing.
This place enters our top 10 as a surprise entry for our favourite. It was delicious.
Nice environment, clean, great service. Highly recommend and think you would enjoy.
A secret tip.ask for the hot version, we did and it was right on.
The food was good, but the wait staff was bit rude to us. Not sure it was because of the racial background or something else. But surely we sensed discrimination while dining there. I personally won't be going back there again.
I bought 4 main meals for takeaway and the rice was soggy like mush. All the meat was inedible and tasted off. The vegetables were overcooked like 1950s boiled cabbage. I literally had to throw it all in the bin and my guests were apalled at the low quality of the food. A teenage boy could cook better than this place. 1 star is too generous.
Review: ipoh parade has proven its mettle in serving up solid Malaysian dishes. I ordered the hor fun noodles in egg gravy sauce (better known as wat tan hor) in Melbourne.
Yes, I paid $14 but what I got in return made me feel like the price was somewhat justified (also, understandably the rent here would be higher here than other suburbs). There were generous amounts of fish cakes, chicken slices, prawns and even little squid slices. The best part was the noodles - it was charred quite perfectly, and when it’s paired with egg gravy sauce.heaven. Do not forget to ask for pickled green chilli just for that extra kick in your meal.
I have not sampled their other dishes so I guess this review feels somewhat premature. Stay tuned for more.
Must order their yam basket and tofu and marmite chicken. The best! Sorry makan finish before photos.
Food was super tasty + fast.
Big thumbs up for the ikan bilas and combination hor fun. Would definitely order again
Delectable. Everything I ordered was exceptional. Assam fish, curry okra, ginger chicken, mapo tofu. Even the coconut rice fragranced with lemon grass was perfectly done and not a soggy clump like so many other places.
Good Malaysian food in Armadale. They made good lou yew sang for Chinese New Year. Decent selection of dishes. Love the ice lo hon guo dessert which was very authentic. Make sure you book a spot to avoid disappointment as there are not many tables in the restaurant.
I go here all the time. The chef/s really know their stuff and produce excellent food. The staff seem to be proud of the quality of their restaurant. It's affordable, friendly, no thrills.
This restaurant deserves to be really popular.
Good food. Cheap prices. A great mid week place for dinner if you can't be bothered cooking. Huge savings too!
Amazing food at very reasonable prices. Was happy with flavour, quality and portion size.
Love the menu with pictures of food on the walls!
Wonderful Malaysian food, and one of the few spots in the area to get it. The space is simple but nice and service is too. There aren't tons of vegetarian dishes but many that can be made so, including the green curry and mapo tofu. Gado Gado and sambal eggplant are two great, naturally veg options.
This place was recommended by a friend and we were quite impressed with the quality of food. The laksa was the Curry style, so if that's your preference then this is the laksa for you! It's filled with chicken, fishcake, tofu and veggies. Tastes very rich and delicious.
First time try this restaurant. First impression is very localized food, very authentic Malaysian food. Teh tarik have strong tea flavor, taste like homemade, not instant. Prawn noodles is one of the best in Melbourne, prawn noodles soup is very strong in prawn flavors, it is very hard to find in Melbourne. Best for winter. Wat tan hor noodles are obviously fried before, very good in flavor. Egg gravy is smooth and full of flavor. This restaurant is not very big. Better book before. It is on main street, very close to tram stop. On street parking available.
Honestly. This is the best laksa in Melbourne. The ingredients are so tasty and so delicious. A chicken laksa gets you a bunch of veggies as well like eggplant, okra, beans and more. Super delicious plus they will give you tasty sambal on the side. This laksa is the real deal. Two types of noodles. Staff are super friendly. I’m so glad I found this restaurant.
Great Malaysian food. All the classic Malaysian dishes are here, all the ones we have tried are done very well indeed. They also have excellent, authentic Teh Tarik, not made from a packet like some places. Highly recommended.
Classic Malaysian food in the heart of Malvern. Order the homemade tofu and you will go home happy.
