This place really needs some proper hospitality training for employees. We've been here multiple times, yet every time there had been serious attitude issues from the staff members.
The first time they over charged us 14 dollars on the bill, then as we raised the issue, we were told that's how it is, and received plenty of eye rolling from the staff member.
The second time the meals were cold, lamb, broccoli were both cold, only roast potatoes were hot. We were asked how our meals are, so we mentioned the meals were cold, yet the waitress rolled her eyes at us and walked away. We requested for some extra serviettes, the waitress rolled her eyes again, walked off and waved her hands at us said use the ones on the table (which weren't enough). Our drinks were taken away without being asked whether we are still going or not. Then we called manager to give some feedback about all of these, yet received more eye rolling. We were told if drinks got taken away, they can simply refill, which isn't the point, as the point is the poor manner from staff.
Just to clarify, there were two girls there were very humble and with great attitude, but some others including the manager really need to probably have some review on their hospitality training. Rolling eyes at people when people are talking or communicating professionally isn't an acceptable manner. We are both respected doctors who are used to interact with people with manner and respect, it was quite shocking to have this kind of experience multiple times within a few days. The first time we took it as an accident, everyone makes mistakes, but when things like this happen multiple times, maybe it's the time the Inverloch Esplanade Hotel management to look into this a bit more seriously.

We ate here during winter, the family bistro was a third full I'd say.the service was nice, the food was nice, fresh and quick. The chips were a generous serving but would want to be for $9 as a side.
Sea food was fresh and delicious.
Nice seating out the front. A small kids play area, enough to distract them but it's very small.

The staff were lovely but a lot of crying kids.the food was average, i wouldn’t come back but am not going to discourage anyone from coming here because it’s an easy dinner and the presentation is quite nice.

Enjoyed my dinner here, great ambience, design and furniture choice. Manager (as presumed) was lovely and very polite as was the woman waiteress until we asked for some garlic aioli with my sweet potato fries (a must), where she then stared at me, grunted then walked away. Taken back by this I patiently waited for my aioli (until my sweet potato chips were cold) and never received it. This was upsetting for three reasons, my chips were now cold, I had no aioli and my overall rating of the inverloch esplanade has been deducted a star.

I went there with Kellie on Saturday 25th June 2022. I had the Chicken Parmigiana and Chips with a Lemonade and Raspberry Cordial and Kellie had the Chicken and Vegetable Pie that was recommended by Dylan with a Lemon, Lime and Bitters. On Monday 4th July 2022 the bank has already refunded me for the Chicken Parmigiana that upset my stomach on Saturday 25th June 2022.

My steak was great, but my partner's pork belly was disgusting. When she tried to cut it, fat just splooshed out everywhere. Service was good and they offered her another meal but she was no longer in the.ood for eating.

This is the first time I visit the place. The lunch is from 12 to 2pm, so Wednesday we missed the opportunity. Today we had chicken parma and duck legs. The chicken parmesan is average size, compared with Mrs. Parmas in Melbourne it is a little smaller, but just right for my husband. I am surprised how good the duck legs are. They are so tender and price is not as expensive as in Melbourne.

Battling between one and two stars, I'll give two as it was a Saturday night and relatively busy.

Food come out ridiculously quickly I had the lamb cutlets had one mid rareone medium one well done and one cooked to death which was interesting.

Friend had a Parma which was cooked thoroughly yet Luke warm in the middle which also come out extremely quickly which leads me to believe these were ore fully cooked which is disappointing.

Ambience was not great could barely hear anybody on the table. I wouldn't go back unfortunately.

Always seems to be booked out when we turn up but it was suggested our family go through the to the sports bar to order food. Oops, the secret is out

The curly, long haired male worker serves, behaves and deals with customers like he is miserable and would rather be somewhere else. Also a bit rude… Brings down the mood and atmosphere of an otherwise decent business.

Would not recommend! Overpriced and basic!

The bistro interior serves early 2000’s nursing home and is desperately begging for a facelift. Wedged between a kid’s play pen and a looming casino, the dining atmosphere is not much to drool over.

The food is ridiculously overpriced and the quality is below satisfactory. Cocktails were watered down and the dishes were obviously frozen. Steamed “veggies” and McCain’s frozen chips are paired with almost every dish on the menu, perfect if you have a total of one tastebud.

Look, if you enjoy eating from an overpriced kids menu, be my guest. Sadly, Inverloch only has 1-2 decent restaurants, the gas station up the road being one of them (which is much better than this place). Take my advice, save your money!

Good spot for a family friendly meal. Clean and welcoming. Good food, reasonable pricing if on the slightly higher side

The wait staff and bar staff were great! The food came quickly even though it’s peak tourist season. My one gripe was the risotto, I am not Italian by any means and I myself couldn’t cook it although I’ve eaten a few and the dish just seemed like rice with butter and cheese.
The steaks were cooked perfectly,
The kids meals were awesome and the cocktails were delicious. Would recommend but avoid the risotto

Great staff.except for one young Male staffer who insinuated I had lied when I informed him that I had already checked in with a female staffer. Was seated outside main entrance area.told, every time I required a drink, I'd have to traipse around to the sports bar?

Decent pub grub. Tasty steak, sauce was average, chips & salad were excellent. Sports Bar is a bit soulless and bistro was packed for school holidays, but food still came out fairly promptly.

Great cosy environment for the family and friends. Food portion was very big and their cocktails are divine. Food was also very tasty.

It’s a decent pub.

The food choice is good and the out put was good. Not great.

As a family of 5 the kids 2 of our kids ordered from the kids menu. The kids burger was a mini burger with a decent amount of chips. The kids pasta - passable, just.

The Parma was ok. Seen better.

The fish of the day - Salmon was very Spartan. My wife didn’t want roast potatoes and so it was delivered with just a few steamed vegetables and no sauce. For $32 underwhelming.

The strip loin beef with paper corn sauce was probably the pick of the mains and at nearly $40 didn’t seem that good in terms of value. Gravy was a bit watery.

Dessert - Frog in the Pond had run out. No! My daughter had the Caramel and Macadamia Tart - mixed reviews.

$200 for the bill was exy.

Service was excellent.

Overall 4 stars is fair enough.

I’ve been here a few times before so I was keen to visit again during this holiday break. A family of 4.
I think a combination of Covid and school holidays meant the hotel was overcommitted and unprepared.
The meals were soggy with oil and very substandard. We failed to finish our meals and cancelled tomorrow’s booking.
Try elsewhere at the moment.
