Inspect East Building Inspections

I must have read dozens of reviews and sample reports for home building and pest inspections (and gotten quotes all along the spectrum) before I decided on Inspect East. The reviews absolutely do not lie. Brett is meticulous, diligent, scrupulous, and worth every penny. We had entered into a contract of sale that had a 7 day cooling period (to allow for inspections). The house was brand new and freshly built by licensed builders, who were also the vendors. Consequently, I wasn’t expecting any issues, and only engaged Brett out of an abundance of caution. I’m SO glad I did – he identified a number of major defects that were not visible on typical property inspection. His report was extremely thorough and transparent, and each comment was accompanied by photographic proof. His follow-up was fantastic, and he made himself available for every question I had. I’ve seen reports from other inspection companies that friends have commissioned, and they pale in comparison. Thanks to Brett, the vendors agreed to fix all of the major defects, and I was pleased to pay Brett to go out there again to verify the fixes. I honestly think that the vendors would have worked extra hard at them knowing Brett was on the way for a second time. I’m now really looking forward to the settlement of my dream home and I am grateful to Brett for his impeccable work.

These 5 stars would be less for Brett because his work is impeccable and he is well experienced person in Melbourne, he did an incredible job for us as a first home buyers, we made an offer but I was very keen for house inspection and I was fortunate We got to know about Brett, he answers our call and he explains everything clearly, I liked the way he made the report, I’ll highly recommend him and I did for my friend already. Thank you for your advice, am glad we didn’t lose our money. I’ll definitely call him again for another one.

We have been extremely satisfied with services from Brett (Inspect East). Instrumental in our property search, he has always been there on time, dilligent in his inspection and thorough in his report, giving us not only the confidence before making in the plunge but also the satisfaction that there has not been any hidden aspect that has not been looked into.

On all the three ocassions that he inspected for us, he was available at a very short notice and was considerate to work his schedule around.

Brett saved us from a disaster when he inspected a property for us which had significant water damage and consistent issues with leakage which were beautifully concealed but could not remain hidden from him. If not for his inspection report, we would have signed the papers only to incur thousands of dollars worth repair work which would have still not solved the problem.

Given our recent experience as first home buyers, I'll never buy a property without having it inspected, and with no one other than Brett himself. Thank you Brett

If you're requiring a building or pest inspection, don't look past Inspect East Building Inspections! My partner and I were first home buyers, never having gone through this process before. We called them on a Saturday and the inspection was completed with report compiled and sent to us by Tuesday. The report was above and beyond anything I thought we were going to get. Brett has been absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond our expectations. My husband and I called Brett up urgently requesting a pest and building inspection and he was able to inspect the house on the same day and return an extremely detailed report on major and minor defects.

We had an inspection done by Inspect East and completed by Brett, he was so professional and knowledgeable about the situation, he helped us out a heap, he was so informative and showed us all the points of issue. InspectEast helped us review a place before we made an offer. Brett was very detailed, providing photos of all issues and points of notes for us. Brett was also very easy work with, and highly responsive to text messages and phone calls. The report was provided to us the night of, and then spoke to us promptly in the AM, providing clear and easy to understand.

Specifically Brett picked up both leaking showers, and the water damage which had led to rotting wood in the subfloor, and also the insufficient ventilation underneath the house that had high potential to cause further water damage. Brett picked this up despite the vendor (who was a builder) taking active steps to conceal the issues, hoping to pass the issues off to the next unsuspecting home owner.
