Ingrain design stole $3000 from us.ordered a vanity (payed for it) then they disappeared.will not answer calls or emails.

Do not have anything to do with ingrain designs or Ben Purchase.

They are currently being investigated by Fair Trading. VCAT. NSW and even a Current Affair

Have waited over a year for my unit and all I have received is a load of "we'll get back to you", which no-one ever does. I've called and e-mailed so many times over the past 18 months. I am now having to take legal action to try to get my money back. VCAT has loads of complaints against this company for the same thing - take your money, don't deliver anything, and then don't respond to calls.

Like many other people here, Ben stole my money. It seems Ingrain are experts at simply stealing deposits, while delivering some furniture to a lucky few to maintain a pretence of running a furniture store.

Ben insisted on over $3,000 deposit and as far as I can tell the work was never started and when I tried to get my money back they refused any communication.

Ingrain Designs are dishonest and deceitful. I initially loved the quality of their workmanship as seen in their factory, but have yet to see it in my house. I ordered a TV entertainment unit on 6th November 2021. I was informed that if I paid the full amount upfront, I would definitely receive my order by Christmas 2021. I made allowances for some delays due to the impact on Covid on industry, but a multitude of contacts with Ben later (all initiated by me), and even waiting home all day on two occasions for the promised delivery of my unit, and recent requests to have my money returned, I still do not have my furniture or money. I’ve experienced 8months of lies and i believe their practice is fraudulent. DO NOT GET STOOGED like I did. Shop elsewhere. I am now in the process of commencing legal action. This has been a totally unpleasant experience

We are reading some of the reviews and we are a little bit concern. We purchased one of #Ingraindesigns vanity units along with a sink from #concretenation. According to Ben, owner of Ingrain Design has been shipped. They do not respond to emails and you have to chase them to get a reply. All we were asking was a receipt of payment and measurements related questions. These took several follow up phone calls and emails. We only received a partial reply at the end with a payment receipt. Anyways, we are expecting our products this month, this week to be exact and we hope we dont have to experience what most of you have recently. But has anyone approached the issues with Ingrain Design legally? If so, could you please share what you did just in case? Do not use these people, tney promise it will be done in 3 weeks 6 weeks 10 weeks, 14 weeks.you never get a straight answer just excuses and lies constantly.
i was really looking forward to this quality product, as they kepy saying i would ge, but no.they obviously rushed the order no quality check and now faulty.

Ordered vanity and mirror in Dec 2020, knowing that there was an 8-10 week wait, as per website. It is now 18 weeks and our bathroom is done but no vanity/ mirror. I have been ringing and emailing Ingrain daily with no response. I don’t know whether I’m going to get the products or not. I’m wondering if they’ve gone out of business. Have I lost my money? It would be nice to just get an honest answer about when they will be delivered, as so far I’ve been strung along with a number of stories. Posting this is only happening because I am not getting a response.

Ben is a bit of a jerk.
Cabinets are nice, a few issues but the way he spoke to my wife left us with a very bad taste in our mouths.
I’d recommend to use someone else.

Fortunately I've waited too long for a response from them. It is been two years since I got the vanity and I've had no end of problems. They don't even have the courtesy to reply to your email for months and months at a time. I'm fed up. The vanity went mouldy first then Ben sanded it back and fixed it after about six months of emails back-and-forth. Then it went rotten again and they said they were gonna replace it. This was last year. It has been months and months since they have even bothered to answer my emails. I will never deal with this company based on their terrible customer service alone. It's not worth the frustration. I'll end up paying someone else to fix the rotten wood.

Ordered vanity and mirror from these guys and our order was late due to the parts they were waiting for. They let us know that they were waiting and we got our bathroom finished.waited 7 months for tiles so it is what it is.love our gear, thanks guys.

We started with Ingrain stools and they were so good that we went back for more. This time, bedside tables. Both are excellent. Highly recommend these guys for their real, made-in-Melbourne workmanship. Get around them.

A really wonderful team and product - these guys created some custom hand turned wall hooks from recycled timber and I’m thrilled with the outcome. They were happy to work with me and make some changes to make sure I was happy with the end product and I really was. I’ll be looking forward to my next ingrain piece.

They went over and above to rearrange delivery dates and times for pieces after my build schedule ran late and are always so so friendly no matter who I speak to. Cannot recommend highly enough. Ordered a custom table for Christmas on very short notice and Ben and the team not only delivered a beautiful table but negotiated with the couriers to ensure that it arrived on time to our place in Sydney, even personally following up with the courier. The team at Ingrain are so good at what they do, not only that the service and attention to detail is incredible. We had 2 big tables made for a boardroom and meeting room for an office fit out, the end product was so impressive and the client was over the moon. The delivery and install was extremely professional and they met out rediculously tight dealine. Great all round experience.
