We ordered a family pack for Fathers Day and it was absolutely delicious.will definitely be back. Food was outstanding.thanks

I Ordered a chicken Korma for the last few weeks and was really nice!

Today Ordered the same and it was a totally different curry different in colour and tasteless.

Spoke with the restaurant and they told me they have not changed anything with the korma and my order was definitely correct.

When I thought I found a really good curry at this restaurant it dosent exist.

Also it is more expensive to order direct to the restaurant than order on menulog ‍️

INTERESTING TO READ THAT THE RESTAURANT RESPONDS TO ALL REVIEWS THAT SAY SOMETHING GOOD BUT NEVER TO A DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER: To order online and then receive a response that the online order will be ready in 20 minutes and then to arrive and have to wait an additional 1 and a half hours is a joke. Walk ins were ordering and receiving orders well before we received ours. No explanation no apologies. Don't send a message to come pick up if its not close to being ready. Next time this happens you'll be the one disappointed with my reaction in your restaurant. No explanation and no apologies.

Had a delivery tonight and once again it was exceptional. So much flavour and big serving sizes. Highly recommend! We will always be getting our Indian from here!

Nice easy cheeky Indian meal with friends. Great food, service, lots of choice and quick for a midweek meal.

First time eating the food here and I have to say this WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD, I have never had something like it before and I loved every single bite, but it doesn’t stop there, I was waiting for my food and I didn’t even wait for over 5 minutes and the two YOUNG employees were extremely sorry, they had great customer service as well as the manager, love this place and I will for sure be eating here again!

Not very impressed after our order last night. Have really enjoyed your food over the years so we were very excited to see it available for delivery to our place after not having it for a while. The pakora which we love at other Indian restaurants had a horrible bitter taste, meaning we didn’t finish it and ended up with wasted food. They were not crispy at all. Our main dish lacked the usual flavour we love about getting Indian food and the vegetables were overly big and didn’t seemed to be cooked properly. Such a shame as we were so excited to have Baxter Indian Mahal again!

The butter chicken curry is just sugar and tomato. There is no “creaminess”, it tastes nothing like a butter chicken I’ve ever had in my entire life? It’s dark, acidic, and almost tomato paste like?

We ordered an entrees platter and extra samosas and pappadums, absolutely delicious we will be ordering from you regularly now, beautiful food

After an initial mix up with our order, which was resolved quickly, our meal was fantastic, flavoursome & good portions. Thank you!

We love going to Indian Mahal. It’s the local mainstay Nepalese/Indian restaurant/take-away. Been there in Baxter for a long time. It’s famous down there, an Institution! Really enjoyed the Buffet’s that they put on. The Sunday buffet is particularly excellent food & great value. The top Chef & friendly staff put in top effort to make their food the quality that it is. Great variation of meals on the menu, and they cater well for vegetarians, and also offer several interesting ‘packs’ for the hungry families. A credit to the community. Can’t wait to have a sit-down meal there again. They used to have a singer there on Sundays, =a bonus+good idea also. Well done to the Owner, chefs & staff @ IM. A+. 5stars.

Order took over 2 hours to receive order. Phoned 3 times and each time they lied and said it was on way even though I am 5 mins from restaurant. Eventually they advised they hadn't processed order at all. Service terrible. Do not do there.

Certainly one of the best Indian curry houses around most of the time 5/5. Recently things have been not seem up to usual high quality.

Absolutely incredible food, so fresh and tasty.
However the dine-in experience is not very relaxing; the phones are constantly ringing, alarms going off, staff running around, delivery drivers talking on their phones while waiting.
If the phones could ring and be answered out the back, this would be a huge improvement and step in the right direction.

Absolutely phenomenal food and excellent service. Can highly recommend momos, eggplant masala and mali kofta. When we ordered the naan was left out and they delivered a fresh one within 15 minutes. Amazing!

Good food. Service variable. Triple check your order. Usually mistakes are made. For a take away place they guess when food will be ready for pick up. Often wait 10 minutes longer for pick up. Never ready when they tell you.

I’ve tried many India foods before this one is in my top 3, not great at the service, but put up with that as the food is amazing.

Just a note to start - there was plenty of food in our order, so the servings are great. However, I placed an order on their website on 30/8/20 for delivery on 6/9/20 for my father, the order arrived on 30/8/20, told the delivery driver it was the wrong date, he called the restaurant to confirm and got confirmation it was supposed to be delivered at 6.30pm on 6/9/20. Get to the 6/9/20, I called my mum to see if the delivery has come at 6.30pm, she says no, I leave it for 15 mins and then try to call them, can't get through on the phone. Eventually get through on the phone, the guy takes my name and says he will call in 5 mins. 5mins. 10mins. 15mins. I call back, give my name and order etc, he says it will leave soon. Gets to 7.30pm, still no food, I ask my mother to call them, she also can't get through on the phone, eventually she does and they say they left 5 mins ago. Food finally arrives at 8: 10pm (1 hr and 40 mins late). Also, missing Samosa's from the order. We have been to this restaurant many times for their dine in service, the food is lovely. I thought that ordering directly from them a week early would ensure that our food was delivered on time, and also took out the middle man (i.e. Menulog etc). However, in hindsight and after this experience, if I ever order from them again it will only be either pick up, dine in, or, menu log *where you can track your food. Shambles sums up our experience in relation to their online ordering and delivery.

The best Indian on the Mornington Peninsula. Our take-away always has the most delicious flavours, with great service and value for money.
