Indian Burrp reviews
81Very slow service, waiting staff not even looking when you try to communicate. Food is average. Ruined my special day.
Quite disappointed with the taste of the chicken vindaloo. It was bland, no seasoning & it wasn’t spicy at all, and it took over 30 minutes for one meal to be prepared.
Ordered Paneer Butter Masala (Dine in) - made very sugary and only 4 pieces of Paneer in $20.00 Curry - service very slow - taste less food- never visit again.
Delicious food but way too slow to come out. Thoroughly enjoyed the food when we eventually got it but we were starving. Looking around us we could see everyone else also waiting for their meals to come out. Such a pity because the food was actually very good. The garlic naan was light, crispy and just perfect. The only disappointment on the menu was the pistachio kulfi which was bland and tasteless.
We would go back but we’d call ahead and make sure they started prepping the food before we arrived.
- Arrived 6: 45, left at 10pm.
- Onion bhaji was basically just batter.
- Samosa very plain, no spices.
- Paneer butter masala had no chili or spices (ordered hot).
- Took 55 min for entree's, 1hr 15min to get mains.
- Got billed for things no one ordered.
- When we sent a meal back for being tasteless the rude chefs blamed the wait staff who were kind and good at their job.
- Everyone had to hold their breath to use the bathroom all night.

At Indian Burrp, we had an amazing dining experience with friendly service and flavorful food.
We loved the Burrpie platter for its variety of textures and flavors, and the Melting Murgh Masala and Fish Hari Mirch were our delicious mains. The prawn Biryani was also flavorful with the Papadums and garlic cheese naan as a side it was paired perfectly with the curries
Lastly, don’t forget to try their Pistachio Kulfi to cleanse your palate
For those who can & cannot handle spices.you have the option to choose from mild to extra spicy for most dishes, which is great for controlling the level of heat. But be warned, even the medium spice might be surprisingly hot for some taste buds.
Worst service ever. Food took about one and half hours to be served. Few dishes were very salty. Very disappointing.
Zero stars for service and zero stars for the quality of the food. I ordered dinner to pick up on my way home from work and had to wait 30 minutes from my scheduled pick up time. They kept saying it would only be 10 more minutes or it was nearly ready; however, this wasn’t the case. Our entrees were above average; however, our main meals were awful. The Dahl had no flavour nor did the chicken dish and our pumpkin masala had no pumpkin to be found instead just sliced onion floating in some sort of sauce. Very disappointed as first time customers and certainly wouldn’t return. We had a couple of mouthfuls and have thrown our meals out. A waste of time and a waste of money.
The food were all very delicious and the staff were friendly our trip to Melb ended on a very good note, thank you!
Went on a very busy night (3/2/23) where the staff were run off their feet but a small wait for food was absolutely worth it. Amazing & delicious! Melting Murgh Chicken was a highlight. Even though it was busy the staff were very friendly and attentive. Had a wonderful night.
Love Indian food and this was delicious. Meat was so tender and the sauces were so full of flavour. Very friendly delivery lady.
Wait time for eat in is atrociously long. We waited over an hour last time I was there. Burrp clearly prioritise take away before eat in. This is obvious because a week or so after dining in I ordered a similar meal (for 4 people) and it was ready for take away in approx 45 minutes; however, the Malai Kofta tasted very different in take away from than dine in. It was still nice.
3 stars becuase the staff are excellent and the food is nice. I am not sure if I was visit here too often though.
We have been going here for over a year now definitely would have given them 4 stars but the last few times have been disappointed with quality, quantity and service
Quality -A couple of the meals were basically curried frozen vegetables
Frozen carrots are not something that should be used in a good restaurant
Quantity- meals were a bit small compared to how they were a year ago
Service- after going over the order a few times with the waiter some meals were still forgotten
I would still recommend them but only just
I like the decor there and the staff are always friendly and attentive
We turned up @ 7: 30pm with a group of 10 for a nice dinner. It took 15 mins to get the attention of one of the waiters for a drinks order. 20 mins later we put our food order in. It took more than an hour after order for the food to turn up. At 9: 15pm we finally got our food and started our dinner. 30 mins later the waiter presented the bill and told us they were closing at 10: 00pm…. Hello? We waited more than 1 hour our food, basically longer since we arrived at 7: 30pm and finally got our food at 9: 15! Closer to 10: 00pm a waitress asked us to leave. Not a great experience since only had 40 mins to eat our food!
The best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Staff are friendly, food was delicious and didn’t take long to get our food. Will highly recommend Indian Burp.
Terrible food, the order took so long to be ready (1hour)
NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.
The only bad thing about this restaurant is the time we had to wait for our meal which was almost an hour! The food was tasty and staff were friendly and atmosphere nice, however I won't be back due to the wait time
Such a wonderful Indian restaurant super friendly staff and authentic and delicious food! Highly recommend
Great tasting traditional Indian food. Friendly staff when picking up the takeaway too.
My only criticism is the slightly clunky ‘Restaurant on Go’ website they use for ordering. I didn’t get provided an estimated time the order would be ready until 10 minutes later with a separate text. Then I got a phone call from the restaurant saying my order was ready 20 minutes before the indicated time.
Not a big issue, just worth upgrading the website/system they use.
Love this restaurant. We've eaten in and ordered takeaway several times. Always great quality food, and on time. Friendly staff.
