Fantastic chemist and staff. Service second to none. Prices fair and choice good.

It's Sept 2020 and I've been shopping at Imes for 20. Years. Ownership has changed but very little else as owner John continues to operate the shop in a similar way as Charles did, Charles still works their and staff are friendly and rather relaxed and quick to serve. I simply refuse to go to another pharmacy as this little family run chemist has everything we need.
It is a pleasure to shop at Imes.

We’d rather shop at Imes Pharmacy (than the big conglomerates) because its staff’s more “personal” approach to their customers is warm and genuine. Charles, John, Elena, Lina and Rain almost always know their customers on a first name basis.

I don't think I have ever experienced a pharmacist who was that rude and arrogant. Her advice was factually wrong and medically dangerous. Quite shocking. I would suggest to anyone who cares about their health to take their business elsewhere.

Outstanding customer service, friendly, respectful staff and all round knowledgeable, professional pharmacists/staff who will help you with any questions or product enquiries you may have.

I find the customer service at Imes Pharmacy, South Melbourne to be generally well below standard.

The Pharmacists are unprofessional in manner, make frequent errors and are incredibly slow, resulting in long waiting times for scripts.

South Melbourne is an affluent, cosmopolitan and diverse suburb with quite high expectations regarding competency of customer service.

The service at Imes is just a frustration and a disappointment and though in a convenient position at the corner of Dorcas St is not worth a second visit.

Two very efficient pharmacists during the week and half day on Saturday. Small, but not the hustle & bustle at chemist warehouse.

I phoned and asked if they had crutches to rent. The man on the phone said yes they do. I asked if I need to book this out to which he replied they had plenty out the back, I didn't need to book. I said my partner will be coming by at 5.30 to pick some up.

My partner got there at 5.30 and no one knew what he was talking about. They said that they didn't have any at all. A lady checked out the back for us but no they did not have any to rent.

Useless.

Awesome staff and service. Went there for some advice & my prescription. They were friendly, efficient and price competitive. Lucky to have them as my local pharmacy. Will be back!

Its my Favourite Chemist. Charles is the best Doctor from all. So helpful and understanding. He will come up with the best solution if the customer in need of any help. He even can send his stuff to bring the meds to your house if you leave near by. Were can you find that kind of service and help. NoWere! So you know what mean guys. Customer service will never be the same at Imes without Dispense Tech Niki. As a customer for well over 10 years we were sad to hear that Niki you are leaving. Your exceptional customer service, knowledge, smile, courteous and polite manner with our family is what made us return to the pharmacy every time. You will be missed. Hope all goes well in your new career adventures. Niki you are irreplaceable! We know you will be missed by many in Sth Melbn/Clarendon St. Imes Pharmacy what a loss!

I did not have a good experience here at all. I walked in with a cut that was at risk of becoming infected and wanted some antibiotic ointment, sterile gauze and bandages. The lady working there shooed me in the general area of the items and when I asked for more help she seemed annoyed, and she would not recommend any creams or ointments over the others and did not know the difference between then. When I asked about other items she went to inquire with the the Asian gentleman behind the counter, but he seemed very disinterested in helping and barely answered because he was occupied doing something else. They did not show much care or concern.

One of the few privately owned pharmacies where you are provided with quality advice, as well as service with a smile. Definitely recommend Imes Pharmacy to people who wish to be treated with care and respect. John the owner and his staff are highly competent, efficient and lovely.

Great service and nice chemist.

It's a better chemist compared to whites chemist across the road who just tries to sell any rubbish to you.

Reason I gave 4 stars is the shop could do with a bit of an update.
